I have not read the manga even after the Anime has ended so my head canon atm is that Mimihime and Shiro "adopted" Ohma and they were basically a family unit UNTIL Ohma's ultimate demise. And even then, she still protects her family in a weird maybe coincidental way.

So glad there's the full scene. Ohma is my favorite, I'd adopt her in a heartbeat.
Mimihime is an angel for taking care of her like she does.
