Mimihime=Hoshio(bandage girl)
So Usami truly was Shiro and Hoshio (bandaged girl) was indeed Mimihime. It looks like the timeline takes place after the kids made it out of the shelter, and Shiro stuck with Mimihime the whole time and just wanted to save her from her pain. It really sucks that this really was the ending for both Shiro and Mimihime. All in all a beautiful relationship, and I'm glad Shiro/Usami was able to finally "save" Mimihime at the end while also reaffirming both of their feelings. T_T

What is more beautiful is that the first time the children come out of takahara academy mimihime's first observance was the sky as a long ceiling and her last wish in the outside world was to see the sky again
What is heart wrenching is that in their one awkward interaction back at the academy, Shiro told Mimihime he wanted to keep her in his room.(As a confused and somewhat weird way to express his affection)
Mimihime then asked him if he'll stick her with needles or cut her up, to which Shiro promply replied with never.
Fast forward some years, guess who ended up stuck inside a room, with needles and cuts all over their body.
Mimihime also had the fear of sharp objects if that wasn't sad enough.
The two things have nothing to do with each other, that moment of her observing the ceiling is her seeing her deceased friend who looks like an alien, since she is invisible but Mimihime can see her
@@frankangelo275 I think he's not talking about the ceiling, he's talking about how surprised Mimihime was when seeing the sky for the first time after getting out of the academy
I do too like to see the sky whenever something really bugging me and that usually intangible, its like breathing and relieving, not like a quite in the ocean where even though its quiet but its like u drowning into something that make u loss, but look at the sky is like making me free from the burden that been smuddering me
The way 1:34 is animated is just so sad and beautiful and real. The look he gives her just hurts my heart. 😢

i find it crazy that people didnt know they were the same people, at the end of episode 8 , mimihime was shown in the afterlife and after usami pulled the trigger he was next to her as a bright light.
also, same hair colors, same eyebrows, eye colors
I missed that scene 😂, but I don't regret it tho, because in the last episode when I realized who they are, it hit me like a truck and made the ending so satisfying for me.

@@spook5550 I think a lot of people saw that just as I did but tbh the whole series is filled with plot twists and questions. I only noticed it's them after watching ep12 which made the impact way bigger.

Fun fact:
Mimihime met a girl that had blue eyes, which gave her scary hallucinations.
There was a man-eater in the basement that gave kiruko a scary hallucination when it glowed blue.
Ohma her name is ohma and that hiruko was probably also ohma
What i want to know is if usami/shiro and mimihime met ohma while she still alive or when she already turn into hiruko.
That kinda explains why usami want to prolong mimihime life as a human they see ohma turn into hiruko.
Mimihime and ohma are pretty close when they are still at school.

@@PandoraBot It's aight, I clicked off the video when the "fast forward" part and I was in denial. Then I watched the scene with Usami again, and watched Shiro confessing to Mimihime again, and finally connected the dots. Eventho it might seem like a spoiler, it's something people can actually figure out
The anime did such a good job with the last scene, it was more beautiful and detailed than in the manga

Now they can be together in the after life
I thought they were just brother and sister in episode 8, but then it clicked when they introduced Ohma and her powers, that the sickness Tarao got, changes them😢
I didn't realize Hoshio and Usami were Mimihime and Shiro until after finishing the anime, and it was utterly heartbreaking. Their love was so genuine
I hope i never experience this kind of pain.

@eco5322 now that you mention it, this was all orchestrated by the supercomputer, who also helped get Kona and Tokio together through surveillance hacking. Makes you wonder, how far ahead was that supercomputer thinking and had everything calculated

@SunnySwaggy Yes, most likely, since the image was hacked from some sort of hidden cam and sent to Shiro, and only Mina (supercomputer) would be capable of doing that. Same for the camera hacking too. The part that confirmed it for me though was the planned breakout by locking out the adults from the kids by Mina.

@@vinodkumaragrawal2988 this is not a spoiler tho, there were multiple VERY obvious times the anime hinted who they were. On top of all of these, Usami and Shiro share the same VA.
Isn't that obvious, the heaven children heading towards lively city at the end that must be past, it all started when they became free and destroyed Japan and Maru must be the son of Tokio and Kona, that's what I assumed.
@@Kyojuiro They didn't destroy Japan. The meteor destroyed the world and human civilization. The hirukos started to appear as the children died to the disease many years after the civilization was already gone.

Writers wanted to show that in future to connect its them
These are kids that don't know anything about love, that is why it was so hard for Shiro to describe what he was feeling. Mimihime probably just wanted to give him something that is a part of herself.

@@soysource3218 It was torture for both of them. For Mimihime it was physical and phycological knowing how much it probably hurt Shiro to do it. For Shiro it was emotional and also phycological knowing that his despite his best intensions could never truly help her only prolong her suffering as long as her will lasted. I can't imagine the sort of self loathing Shiro must have developed over the years.

Apparently it's called "I love you" but the official isn't out yet. There's a cover on YT though if you look it up
I dunno if there is an official name, but it's "I love you" by Kensuke Ushio. He was also the composer for Chainsaw Man, dunno if you've watched it but his OST "sweet dreams" for the 9th episode was really heartbreaking as well.

All the children were genetic experiments that went wrong. In time their cores started to get corrupted and they got a fatal disease. After they die the corrupted core takes over and turns them into mosters.

Basically these kids were the result of genetic experimentation and eventually turn into monsters that eat humans, and the guy with the white hair tried to preserve her as a human for as long as he could but she was eventually turning, so they kinda euthanized her so she could die as a human
Hiruko are none other than the children from heaven school, the story we saw must be happened in past , but Maru and Kiru story is present one
