The super competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry cannot be explained simply by the low labor cost.
In fact, a large number of third world countries (such as India) have much lower labor costs than China, but the prices of their products are higher than those of China, or they have no manufacturing capacity at all.

I used to hold regards for western media and narratives, but after 2019, I have lost complete trust in them. In fact, I have noticed they manufactured lies all the time.
Times have changed, the mainstream media can lie and report lies as much as they wanted in the past. Nowadays, people can do their own research to get the truth.
Fun thing is, they might have even been right, back then. But every 5 years is another generation in the PRC, barely recognizable to themselves five years before. Also we started accusing all the PRC-Chinese students and professors of being spies, so they went back to China and stayed there instead of innovating for us - that one is our stupidity. Not even our first time; it's how the PRC got its nukes so quickly.
Always remembers that.

So when those go out on the international market, other players need to really pay attention.
Brand is the market recognition of a company or product's outstanding performance over time. It is a late stage of development of a country's economic development.
We have seen this story many times. In the late 19th century, Germany entered a rapid phase of economic development. Their products were of relatively low quality around the 1870s, rapidly improved. The British came up with a method to encounter the German gain: They required all merchandise be marked by the country of origin. The "made in USA" "made in Japan" labels came from that era. Firstly China is over 9 million sq kms in land size,which means they have massive land space to put up those modern digital plants.This massive land size also means they have acess to most raw materials from within the country,this solves a major part of the supply chain problem.Also the country is largely homogeneous and does not have an immigrant problem. This is inherent success because the primary ingredients were already there.

1. Made in China. (bad product =made by amateur company)
2. Made in PRC (People Republic of China) = good product approved by government
3. Made in Hong Kong (Great product but extremely rare to find)

If it's a $5.00 toy it's a made in China joke on amazon. If it's a $500 Thule running stroller not a single person asks where it is made from - China. My archery equipment at $800 for a riser made in China. My $40K Taxa Made in USA camper is 70% Chinese Parts/axle/brake and aluminum. Quality if product depends on how much you want to spend!

Asian countries like China, Korea, and Japan have come across to the fact that in order to avoid strikes, protests, and questions to the government. Companies have to flourish by all means.
