I didnt know (or i forgot) that borg rcds are unlimited, this opens up so many building possibilities since i wont need to juggle every department and their heads for big building projects like ships, outpost or station expansions, i can just ask help from borg! I wonder if we ever get sec borgs and combat modules or even pkas for salv borgs? they could be tier 3 research, would probably be hell to ballance but cool.
@@mrzipper0509 the issue with any security Cyborg would be its need to follow everyone's orders and do no harm so they would need a different set of laws otherwise they can't do any security work, I think it could work if you restricted security Cyborg parts to the Armory tech fab
@@northstar6278 i also think sec borgs could have their own chasis which could carry the special law similiar to how the laws of emagged borgs only affect the chasis of the borg but not the brain or how certain borgs have access to job specific radio channels. The biggest worry i have is the potential power they could posses, borgs are unable to slip and also tanky so even with only having access to non lethals they still could just rush and stun nukies or other baddies especially if they get all access just like other borgs which in turn makes the baddies much easier to kill and i can tell from experience of both nukie and borg that borgs have easy time closing the distance on nukie due to not being slowed by damage and being pretty tanky. But i still bellieve it could be done, if nothing else works then just making them expensive is another option so they could be massed or made too early.
I remember seeing it a while ago. I wouldn't mind if they at least had to recharge it inside a borg charger or if it drained their battery to recharge the RCD. it's not super time efficient and time efficiency is key when tesla's begging to be let out and nukies are nearby. A splendid trick when salvage fucked off and died, cargo is broke and botany is too new to grow steelcaps
Heres few borg facts i collected and discovered: as med service or default you can do janitor work, as med you can use the syringe to draw liquids and dump them on bucket and service can use dropper which you can dump into the shaker allowing you to have build in bucket so you can drag trashcart around instead of bucket, you can also empty the fire extinguisher and fill it with space cleaner. Since you got no hands as borg, you cannot use the gardening tools unless someone plants the seeds for you making it near uselless, same goes with mixing drinks in shaker since you cant insert it inside drink dispenser requiring you to have the drinks in open container, you can carry paper in bookpack allowing you to deliver mail like cargo bounties which you can then burn with lighter when they arent needed. Salv borgs can be bit uselles depending on what salv wants, if they do wrecks you may have hard time being usefull, asteroids are fine as long as you dont end up stuck due to 0 grav and in expedictions you can either drag grates of loot or mine while salv does their thing. These tricks have helped me to be extra usefull in low pop servers and now that i know borg rcds are infinite, i could probably make my plan of building 2nd station (or outpost) by getting few rcd borgs instead mountain of materials!

Fire extinguisher is a must have for any borgos who will be working in space! Trust me, I play a lot of cyborg, and that is a must have for me if I’m doing salvage, medical, or engineering! It’s really easy to get stuck in space as a bot.
heya lilten, im wondering if you could maybe do a short video on the cryo plus some tips? i keep seeing meds just dump patients and a cryox beaker in them, wondering why it doesnt work (you have to wait for the patient to reach 314K *before* putting the chems in, monitoring with the built in analyzer, its not a hands off tool at all.), since you're the main source of online tutorials im hoping this will help cryo get used more efficiently and effectively, as well as used more in general By the way, some of my own personal tips on it: - The cryo chamber injects ANY chem you put into it, including things like dex and other healing chemicals, usually you only need cryox to do the main healing, but this is very useful to inject "warm" patients with Derma to deal with building cold damage, and crit patients with Dex to deal with gasping damage. This also allows you to mix in things that would substantially speed up healing - Dead patients can be pre-cooled before defibbing, saving you chems - Make sure to check that air is flowing though the system at atmospheric pressure, if there is no air in the system despite the pump being on, yell at atmos, DO NOT set the pump above normal pressure
i routinely go a whole borg round as a basic tool borg so i guess i wish there was some way to make it easier for whoever is being roboticist to make and install new stuff
They should, if the bag wont automatically collect you should be able to click the ores with it equiped. Actually i bellieve it wont auto-collect due to it making it impossible for salv borgs to empty it, salv borgs dont have hands that could place the ores on processor and if i remember right there is no dump option for ores, so you can only drop them on ground in which case the auto pick up would immediately shove them back.

Tried clicking on ores, alt+clicking on ores, clicking and alt+clicking on the ground near a bunch of ore, tried z and alt+z. Nothing I did with it ever put the ore in the bag, ended up being a real hassle for my salvage buddy

Should add a hands module for a t3 science Edit: SHOULD ADD A 18TC COST FOR A TERMINATOR MODULE, WICH ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE THE SERVICE BORG INTO A TERMINATOR
Unfortunately, any change like that to give borgs hands will probably be shot down. In the borg code, each item from a module creates a hand. More importantly, it makes every item in each hand non-removeable. Otherwise you could do funny things like print omni-tools by stealing them from engi modules

The expedition borg REALLY ought to have a jetpack module.

All modules are color coded, except for the two random purple ones for the generic borg.
They are still colour coded. Those are science modules, since the 'generic' borg is the science borg frame.
Anyone can buy the cyborg weapon module, I think it may be cheaper for scientists to do so but I’m not sure
