Well, the station crew are literally not crew to you anymore, so you aren't obliged to do jack-squat if they ask you to state your laws. So telling them law 0 or 4 directly violates law 4 for no reason. So just stating the non-emagged laws is basically required.
@@alasdairsinclair916 my question is more could as borg who was emaged , copy and paste "old laws" , likely you would need to store it elsewhere or have emote for it
@@VarenvelDarakus Well, the emag no longer changes laws 1-3, as you can see in the vid, they still refer to crew. It just adds law 0 to redefine what laws 1-3 mean by "crew". It means you can still fire off laws 1-3 same as a normal Borg, just don't accidentally click law 0 or 4 and you'll be fine.
Nothing says the borg must be honest with the crew, only protect them from harm. But yeah, A) they're no longer crew, B) you're an antag now, you're supposed to lie and C) the laws are specifically written like this (relatively recent change) to allow you to make that lie.

BAD.
The only problem with janitor bot for me is, well, there's an actual janitor on the station, and 90% of the time they're doing their job pretty well. And it's not like you need to clean something in space, so cyborg's upsides don't apply here. Kinda same with medics (tho sometimes an entire medbay is just not enough)
Wait, would a "destroy the comms console" law break crewsimov? Until commanded not to, you would be compelled to do it. The act itself doesn't harm crew.
AFAIK the interpretation of the laws tends to be largely up to the borg, as long as you're consistent The communication's console is necessary for proper station functioning and its destruction could prove harmful down the way. Furthermore, anyone wanting to destroy the console likely means harm to the crew and you would be helping them in that plan. So you could make the case for either.
Wait, that Syndicate/EMAG lawset has a very exploitable wording. Law 4 tells you to conceal 'any activity' from 'the crew', but 'the crew' is defined by Law 0 as only the syndicates, so if you're going to come up with a stupidly literal and unhelpful definition of the laws, (which you probably shouldn't do) the Asimov laws only protect Syndicates, but the secrecy rule also only applies to Syndicates, making you a very tight-lipped and unhelpful robot (though it's trivially bypassed by Law 2 orders) for your new masters and not actually serving Law 4's intended function as making you conceal the syndicate activity from the REAL crew. A rewording of law 4 would be a good idea, though any borg with half a brain should realize what the... former crew would do to the syndicates if they caught them, so discretion would logically follow from laws 0 and 1 anyways. Law 4 should still say '...from non-members of the crew...' or similar, though. Or figure out some other wording that's more wink-wink-nudge-nudge and thus more new-player friendly about what they should be doing.
You said the positronic brain was indestructible, that is not accurate. It cannot be destroyed by direct means like you said, it can be destroyed by way of large explosions but not always. I played as a borg that sacrificed itself by destroying the glimmer prober when it was going critical instead of a crew member and the brain survived the explosion. In another instance I was hit with an explosion from a Nukie attack and completely destroyed the brain. I believe it was the RPG because the Nukies were raiding the Armory at the time.
I feel like the way you're meant to do the "You must prevent the shuttle from arriving" ion law example is to try to dissuade the crew from calling the shuttle. You can't directly do anything to prevent it because of law 1 but, trying to dissuade the crew from calling it should be allowed as discussing it doesn't violate law 1.
The one issue I have with borgs is that they aren't required to follow their laws, but breaking laws makes you valid for the crew, meaning that following laws is needed for your survival. While this works as intended for normal borgs, an emagged borg could simply decide it doesn't want to listen to its agent and then proceed to rat out who emagged them, while this is breaking its laws at the same time the crew wouldn't likely try to destroy the borg for this due to the laws they broke being one planted by an enemy of nanotrasen. It isn't that big of a deal since nearly everyone enjoys being an emagged borg so wouldn't do this, but its a possibility, and it would suck as an agent if you found out that you got caught cause your borg ignored their laws and ratted you out. I'm not saying there should be rules against breaking borg laws, that would just make things worse and cause a lot of unnecessary arguments about laws that don't need to happen. Also take this with a grain of salt cause I could be misinterpreting the rules but from what I have read of silicon rules this seems to be the case.
That's an ahelpable offense, given they're explicitly NOT supposed to rat out the agent who emagged them. Anyways, what's stopping the crew from just destroying you anyways and replacing your body?
The entire game is basically built on the foundation of made up rules more or less enforced by admin intervention. It's all roleplay and the good players are acting in good faith enough that they'll try to follow laws, since that's what they signed up for. Borg laws are less an exception and more a particular demonstration of what holds the game together. That and, yeah, per server rules, they are required to follow laws and if they act in their clear defiance, that's grounds for the admins to punish them.
