Heroes of Might and Magic IV is a turn-based strategy game developed by Gus Smedstad through New World Computing and published by the 3DO Company for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers in 2002. A Macintosh port was subsequently developed by Contraband Entertainment and released by the 3DO Company. The fourth installment of the popular Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, it is the sequel to Heroes of Might and Magic III, and was the last to be developed by New World Computing. - Ігри
In 17 fights they have only stunned twice: against fairies and wolves. The stun chance is too low to even mention this "upgrade".
I think their stun chance decreases the less damage they do.
It sounds reasonable. However 2 stuns from initial salvo in 17 fights leave us with ≈6% initial chance. Which is pathetic.

They did win extra battles compare to vanilla not because of stun, but because of +1dmg
Fun fact: orc's last shot before he runs out of ammo will peculiarly inflict much more damage even if he's got no range
9 wins.. I cannot belive this.. But I guess if it wasn't AI vs AI, they'd win much less.
Why do you think so? It's one tier 1 unit against another, I don't feel like it matters very much whether it's a human or an AI playing, it's not like the human has a range of spells to choose from or multiple units to possibly kite the opponent.
I think they are the weakest among all tier 1 units. But there is a surpirse on every corner so who knows what will happen.
