I think this makes a good case for a proper "Anthro" or "furry" tag, so it's easier to find such games.
Maybe the anthro tag because I can already see the anti-furs raging at Steam making a furry tag

I learned about this two days ago, I just randomly signed into Twitch that night and happened to see Doryuu browsing that steam page. I’m not even a PC gamer and I thought that was such a cute little nod to Furries and anthro enthusiasts out there.

Pretty interesting; while they don't really feature cartoon animals in general, I'm surprised not to see Lethal Company (and It Steals and Zeekerss' other games) featured

As an indie game dev with a furry game on Steam (NSFW, but still), I hate that I only found out about it now that it's over. TwT

Indie furry games are really on the rise nowadays, and are worth checking out!
I'm not surprised anthro festival will be on steam because it's June and it involves over 95% of furries, so you can infer that almost all furries (except less than 5%, including me). Are lgbt

I wish i would have known about this sooner. I would have bought overgrowth like damn 😢, I'll just get it at full price. The devs definitely deserve the money as far as I am concerned.

But there's a Steam group/tag, called Anthro/Furry
They have a really big list, of...Anthro/Furry games and media (shocking, I know)
They even separate the games into categories, like
"Everyone is an anthro" to "they have one furry character". And even categories for animal eared characters, and animals
... And corn

Wild assault caught my eye
I've been playing lots of Wild Assault after they brought back the alpha test for this event. It's so much fun.

Eh, the lineup for this event seemed plagued by a lot of the same nonsense currently affecting the rest of the game industry. The only things that truly spoke to me were already on my radar. Just goes to show how much my tastes overall are on a different wavelength than this fandom. I know I sound a bit full of myself saying that, but I've always felt like there's been some missing element that overlaps with both circles, yet occupies none of them. I feel disillusioned that the overall horizons of what's out there have been so slow to approach that hidden something.

I maybe would be excited if not for the fact that most of the furry games suck
Like for real, all there is are some visual novels, platformers, rpgs, 3rd person shooters and of course nsfw games
There are no racing games that are not overly arcadey carting games
There are no first person realistic shooters like cod, battlefield, overwatch or pubg
There are no survival games apart from that one nsfw 3d but with 2d sprites one
There are no cyvilisation builders nor sims like games
There are no fallout/witcher like games
There are no far cry/just cause games
Over all furry games suck for the moment.
Also games like pokemon, spyro, space fox etc are not furry games, they are not based on furry fandom
Yeah true, the only few things I would recall being semi-decent is prolly Tunic, Animal Royale, or Night in the woods. Visual novel sorta stuff might be a bit overrated at this point, unless you pull something like adastra.
