Insomniac outdid themselves with that showcase. From the Wolverine reveal, to Spider-Man 2 showing up out of nowhere and completely catching us all off guard… not to mention Kraven the hunter narrating and Venom making a surprise appearance in the debut trailer. 🤯 Sony’s acquisition of insomniac for $229 million was an absolute bargain and money well spent!

I don't get the arguement that the game characters should resemble the movie actors. I consider it a different universe. Like Comics are different than Movies. If you got the same actors then you get into the problem of what is and isn't canon, and its just a chore.
I thought it was great too but I understand these guys' comments about expecting Silent Hill and not getting it. It's a slow burn for me too but I embraced the dark forest setting and the surreal plot.
Alan Wake is my all time favorite game. There’s nothing quite like it. It’s less survival horror as it is an atmospheric action game with lots of suspense. It has some of the highest highs of any game. You should totally give it another chance.
I knew it was KOTOR as soon as they said the first line of the Sith code. Played that game through like 3 times since it was released, not to mention the sequel and the MMO. Can't wait. I wish they would've at least talked about it more.
KOTOR is one of my favorite RPGs ever made, especially during the 6th Generation. I never beat the game, but I watched my Dad beat the game a couple times growing up, and I have played it so much over the years and I still love it!
Vampire the Masquerade's lore is incredible. Blood Hunt is a battle royale that will probably only address the lore superficially, but the game actually looks good.
Call me a dreamer but me and my son ate dieing for skull and cross bones. I play maybe 5 game with him battle front galak z skulls of the shogun. And lovers in a strange time space.... But me and thomas can't wait for crossbones

I'm surprised they didn't notice this from when Kratos fought Zeus. Zeus is old as fuck, but he's a god so he's grey, but still extremely powerful and gave Kratos one of the biggest challenges of his life. Even Kratos vs Baldur at the start of the fourth game, Kratos just had no idea what he was up against at the time, but he could still regenerate and he had no idea Baldur was basically invincible.
I’m just playing Life is Strange True: True Colors and I couldn’t help but think this game is right up your alley, you and your wife would enjoy it! It’s really good I’m liking it so far.
I’m not a big superhero games gamer either but you got to admit that Insomniac are delivering and that is bringing confidence in the project. Show me that same trailer but tell me it’s a different studio I would not even care. I would look at it and say « yeah cool but I’m pretty sure it will suck ultimately ».

There was a Tiny Tina D&D campaign DLC years ago in Borderlands 2 as well. “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep”, and it was great. Totally worth checking out as well. Tons of D&D references. Even starts off with the classic DM throwing the group into an impossible boss fight and having to scale it back lol
PS5’s seriously need to come out, I’m glad you guys mentioned that first. Nintendo will have 3 different models available soon. I can’t get 1 PS5 or XBSX yet. KOTOR Remake!
Always cool to see Rob in an episode. I liked the Wolverine teaser the most. Just thinking about how fun it's going to be to play as Wolverine, with what will surely be awesome combat, is awesome.
Tiny Tinas Wonderland is also based on the 4th expansion of the 2nd Borderlands game called Bunkers and Badasses, which took the characters from that world and put them into a fantasy setting. What's neat about that expansion, is that depending on who was telling the story at the time the environment would change. So Tina would have one setting, while Mr. Torgue (voiced by the guy who voices Hercule Satan from Dragonball Z) would have an entirely different outlook and it would change in real time.
Tales of Arise. SMT V. Elden Ring. Horizon. Now Forspoken in the spring. Project Eve, Ghostwire Tokyo, Kotor, Spiderman 2, Wolverine, and GOW on the way?! My backlog will never be defeated.
It's funny how Rob has a problem with the Guardians of the Galaxy game because it doesn't have the movie actors in it but has no problems with the Wolverine and Spiderman games.

The Tiny Tina game is based on Borderlands 2 DLC, not just on references made by her. I loved every second of that DLC, so I can't wait for that game :)
Rob needs to play Uncharted. 2 and 4 are the masterpieces. If you decide to only see YT videos to catch up on the story, and jump in on number 4. That one really took it over the top.
Rob, how in the world have you not played Uncharted. The greatest storyline imo, for video gaming. Start from the beginning. 1st one is the weakest but still very nice, 2nd is incredible and 4 gives you a wonderful nostalgic feel for the series.

Spiderman 2 is the only game I expected to be shown. However, I did not expect Wolverine at all! Insomniac is an amazing company...

Well, I LOVED Alan Wake. It was amazing! For me at least. Its story, novel and TV style episodes were also cool.

Its really not that great.....Its pretty mediocre and gets pretty tedious pretty fast with its 1 enemy type over and over again....
God Of War makes me happy I remember playing them on ps2 being blown away.
