Same. Ever since I watched that anime I've been NEEDING a bento box for school. I even made fake life-size rice cakes and sushi to pretend...(Even though I'm 18)
This is exactly the type of easy bento box tutorial i was searching for. This will be the first year I try making bento boxes for me nd my mom in the morning I hope it all works out 💕💕
Finally found someone who explains on how to make Bento simple. I've gone through a billion videos, and yours has made this a lot easier. I love how you describe the planets with the weird sound in the background. Can't wait to see more of your videos. Keep up the good work and advice!!!
You are so calming. Whenever life is making me crazy, I sit down and watch a few Emmy videos and I feel much better. Thanks for the Bento Tutorial. Those silicon wrapper containers are an excellent idea. I will try it out instead of taking many separate small containers in my lunch box.
Gosh!!if you knew how much I wished we ate this type of stuff and made it cute in America you would faint I need this stuff and Japanese candy in America
+Gummibears101 Japanese candy is available in the US. Go to an Asian grocery store. Some regular grocery stores carry it as well. My local grocery store carries Hi Chew, Pocky, Yan Yan, and Hello Panda.
I tell you every time I watch you I smile, you know how to explain the taste of something so well that by the time you are finished I feel like I just tasted it, you have a sparkle/bubble/awesome personality, and you think of your fans. I love your videos, and congratulations on your subscribers you earned them all!!!! We all love you!!! ♥
+Jessie's Channel Dont worry about it bruh, who cares what people think. I started making bento and i work with a bunch of Americans. At first they were like WTF is this? Then they tried some of my cooking and have been jealous ever since. Even it that doesnt happen you can be healthier and more awesome than those fools will ever be. #proudbentoconsumer Also if you are a guy you can do like me and get this kind of bento: en.bentoandco.com/collections/bento-boxes-newest-oldest/products/zojirushi-gohan-attaca?variant=246355438 You can do a lot with this, I usually go with big cup of miso soup, 2 onigiri, and some mixed fruit. Healthy, tasty, and versatile.
LisaTigressHardy She is American, Her parents or grandparents are Chinese. Japanese American is not Japanese. Chinese American is not Chinese. She was born in America, however, I thought she was Japanese till I heard her pronounce stuff in Japanese which was not correct, at that point I knew she was not Japanese. She explained in another video that she was not Japanese but she is American.
kanadajin3 Then an Immigrant Becoming a citizen of another country, lets say Chinese Immigrant becoming a Citizen of Japan, is still considered Chinese? Or are they Japanese now that they are a citizen? Also what if your Born in a country and never live there.... then what? How about being a human? A human borne and raised in a part of the world. People putting labels on top of labels on each other is unnecessary. Almost as if to say being a specific type of human is better.
Gerardo Azamar No, a Chinese person who becomes Japanese is Japanese. It is unnessisary to put lables on people, which is why she is Just American. She was born there, she has American citizenship, she is American.
Hi Emmy :). It would really be great if u could show us the basic rules of making/keeping a bento fresh. Eg, 1. Do we have to wait for the food to be totally cooled before covering? Is the bento meant to to eaten at room temperature? (some foods just don't taste good cold). What is the "expiry period" during eg,summer months...etc. Lunch boxes were not popular where I'm from so I don't have a good idea about the dos and don'ts of handling a bento, and have to worry about whether the bento has
I looove your video! seeing the bento lunch box and the cloth thing you used to "wrap up" your lunch box brings me sooooooooooo many wonderful memories of when I worked in Japan. During lunch time, all of my Japanese co workers brought their bentos and looked just like yours!!! :)) Thank you for your video!
I just finished the Japanese novel (translated) The Devotion of Suspect X, and I think I'm in love with the idea of bento. I live in Latin America, and I have Chinese students here; so if I try it, it's likely to be more Chinese than Japanese! For example, no edamame (can't find it here) but maybe some Chinese lettuce (cooked); and if I think I can tolerate them, boiled peanuts.
My brother got a bento box for me as an early birthday present, and I'm so excited! I got it from heavenly bentos! But I am just 12 so I def need to know some basics about cooking plus bento recipes, your video really helped thnx!
Congratulations!!! I think the first video of yours I watched was the one about moss balls. I've been watching you ever since, and I love the way your channel has grown!
Emmy I think I'm one of your biggest fans. I seriously watch your videos at any time during the day, even if it's four in the morning haha. You're awesome :)
Hey Emmy, I'm a fairly new subscriber, but, after I stumbled on your videos I've become hooked! You are fun to watch, and I love how just cute and honest you are! Keep on being you!
Your obento is lovely! I'm Japanese living in Japan, and I also make obento every morning for lunch at school. It's so fun to think of what to put in obento! :) I love your kitchen by the way!!
im totally addicted. I check everyday. I just love to see you try all the different food, and share your knowledge. Can we see your baby once again ? must be so grown
I love bento lunches :) And I've watched a few videos about making them on UA-cam already but I wanted to watch yours, too. It's very basic but easy to understand for beginners, I guess. So far I have made just a few bentos but I will keep making them. It's work but also fun and fun to eat. What has to be in my bentos: Onigiri, omelette pieces (tamagoyaki), vegetables (also edamame) and a little desert (I prefer fruits and mochi). :)
Looks like your own cooking show :3 Thanks for the idea! School is starting and my mom and I found this video and we're getting the supplies for my school lunch! :D
I always ended up sprinkling the onigiri with some Furikake rice seasoning lol. But since I'm Cambodian/Thai, my lunch boxes has more savory and spicy. Lol. I love how distracted you were with the Gardner. Just blankly wondering why the stars align it so.
I have made a few bentos before, but I just ate the plain white rice and octopus sausages because I did not know what the seaweed would taste like, so I think I'll try it now. I hope in the future Emmy will make more side dishes for the bento! : )
I've just started looking thru ur videos, and I'm happy I found u :) You're so much fun to watch! Do you have any ideas where to get bento boxes in the U.S.? The actual box. I may end up just having to order one online...
Grats on the 100k subscribers! Only just discovered your videos but they really make me want to find a Japanese store to try some of the foods you showed!
