      +Jessie's Channel Dont worry about it bruh, who cares what people think. I started making bento and i work with a bunch of Americans. At first they were like WTF is this? Then they tried some of my cooking and have been jealous ever since. Even it that doesnt happen you can be healthier and more awesome than those fools will ever be. #proudbentoconsumer Also if you are a guy you can do like me and get this kind of bento:
      en.bentoandco.com/collections/bento-boxes-newest-oldest/products/zojirushi-gohan-attaca?variant=246355438
      You can do a lot with this, I usually go with big cup of miso soup, 2 onigiri, and some mixed fruit. Healthy, tasty, and versatile.

      LisaTigressHardy She is American, Her parents or grandparents are Chinese. Japanese American is not Japanese. Chinese American is not Chinese. She was born in America, however, I thought she was Japanese till I heard her pronounce stuff in Japanese which was not correct, at that point I knew she was not Japanese. She explained in another video that she was not Japanese but she is American.

      @MrJerrylikes 10 років тому +18

      kanadajin3 Then an Immigrant Becoming a citizen of another country, lets say Chinese Immigrant becoming a Citizen of Japan, is still considered Chinese? Or are they Japanese now that they are a citizen? Also what if your Born in a country and never live there.... then what? How about being a human? A human borne and raised in a part of the world. People putting labels on top of labels on each other is unnecessary. Almost as if to say being a specific type of human is better.

    • @kanadajin3
      @kanadajin3 10 років тому +12

      Gerardo Azamar No, a Chinese person who becomes Japanese is Japanese. It is unnessisary to put lables on people, which is why she is Just American. She was born there, she has American citizenship, she is American.

    Hi Emmy :). It would really be great if u could show us the basic rules of making/keeping a bento fresh. Eg, 1. Do we have to wait for the food to be totally cooled before covering? Is the bento meant to to eaten at room temperature? (some foods just don't taste good cold). What is the "expiry period" during eg,summer months...etc. Lunch boxes were not popular where I'm from so I don't have a good idea about the dos and don'ts of handling a bento, and have to worry about whether the bento has

    I just finished the Japanese novel (translated) The Devotion of Suspect X, and I think I'm in love with the idea of bento. I live in Latin America, and I have Chinese students here; so if I try it, it's likely to be more Chinese than Japanese! For example, no edamame (can't find it here) but maybe some Chinese lettuce (cooked); and if I think I can tolerate them, boiled peanuts.

    And I've watched a few videos about making them on UA-cam already but I wanted to watch yours, too. It's very basic but easy to understand for beginners, I guess.
    So far I have made just a few bentos but I will keep making them. It's work but also fun and fun to eat. What has to be in my bentos: Onigiri, omelette pieces (tamagoyaki), vegetables (also edamame) and a little desert (I prefer fruits and mochi). :)
