Thank you so much for coming back to visit Thailand. Pad krapao and the dish with pieces of liver on top are to be eaten with rice, it (rice) helps lessen the hotness of the taste. Anyway we're so glad that you can eat our spicy food. Wish you guys the best and the happiest time in our country. 😊😊🥰🥰🥰
the sauce at the begining is called "Jaew", it's good with meat. next time dip the roasted pork neck in to this sauce, it will bring you to the next level.
Thai food sold abroad will adjust the taste to suit the tastes of people in that country. If you come to Thailand, you have to eat Thai food according to local food.
I love the food centred episodes. We play Alan & Shannon Bingo with the phrases like "Unreal" "Insane" "Never tasted anything like this/it" "The best X I've had". We expect at least one of these every 30 seconds so predicting 10
Today's Thai food is a fusion of many cultures. Because since ancient times, Thailand has been open to many countries for trade and residence. Traditional Thai food does not include stir-frying. Stir-frying was influenced by China. Thailand did not have a wok. Chinese traders and Chinese immigrants were the importers. Stir-fry dishes therefore came. Chili was also imported from the Portuguese. Food cultures from many countries entered this kingdom and we have developed it to suit the tastes of the people here. By using local ingredients and herbs. Traditional Thai food is boiled and curry, pounded like Somtam. Even Pad Thai and Pad Krapao were developed from Chinese stir-frying. These foods have become the most familiar Thai national dishes to foreigners.😂
Interestingly Pad Thai was actually invented by the Thai Tourism board and is not actually a local dish 🤯. Btw I like the shop price comparisons, I really enjoy going to supermarkets when travelling and buying a load of food I have never seen before
@vassanab4243 Sort of right but whilst the actual origins do date back to the 1930s when a dish was created to represent the nation by the then dictator, by 2001 the dish was reinvented and added to by the tourism board creating what is known today as pad thai.
@@wendyHew Right. But the funny thing is, its roots are Chinese fried noodles. It was created during World War II and Thailand was running out of rice. What was left was a lot of noodles. And it was during this dictator's nationalist policy that he wanted this food to have a Thai name.
Drinking beer with ice is the worst but it is unavoidable because Thailand is hot climate country. You can request an ice bucket to cool beer bottles without putting ice in the glass. (Some restaurants also serve with frozen beer glasses). Bon Appétit.
We eat Thai food with spoon and fork, not with chopsticks ( that’s Chinese or Japanese food) except noodle dishes. And we eat everything with rice. Eating Thai dishes without rice is like you eat pasta sauce without the pasta, the taste is too strong.
so meat sald is meat saute ?! that is intresting can you next time ask them to keep the menu longer & take good photo for each page then explain it to us each restaurant we love good saute , stir fry & teppanyaki food & they put it under onether name like sald is bad & we want mild dishes How do we know how to distinguish mild dishes in THAILAND ?
Thai foods are designed to eat them with rice or sticky rice. You'll enjoy them more with rice especially the dishes that you had ordered.
