Exactly what I needed. My s20 fe doesn't have headphone jack input. When I tried recording my voice through an adapter with my headset mic. There was a screeching noise in the background of the recording.
I've had a handful of USB-C to 3.5mm ADC/DACs in my amazon wishlist for a couple years for the same reason as you, recording interviews and podcasts. (I normally have a setup, but rarely, I need my phone for an impromptu interview) I was very weary of buying them because I don't know how it would affect the audio quality of my recordings. (why spend money on expensive equipment if the adapter is just going to kill the frequency range?) Finally decided to pull the trigger, but also search for reviews first. Luckily I didn't pull the trigger on the stouchi and found this series you did. Definitely gonna go with the Anker now.
Brilliant! So glad this helped. I was really grateful Stouchi and CableCreation sent me theirs to try out. I tried to get one from Creative, but had no response. The Anker is a solid option. Ideally I’d like to see the phone manufacturers bring back the headphone adapter!
@3:53 this isn't pointing to the hiss, it's pointing to an extremely low frequency hum. The hiss is the light white/blue static @4:02 around the voice peaks. Overall you get a slight static hiss with very low frequency hum that's going to be more annoying on different devices.
Thank you so much for this video! Is pre-self actually testing it out on my own, but I recorded all my videos with a Samsung a22 and it had a headphone jack and then i accidentally broke it and got a new phone.. So I got the Samsung A54 assuming it had a headphone jack, but it did not... i bought USB-C to Aux adapters and was very disappointed with my loss of audio quality... but your video has given me hope. I will edit if this doesnt workout well.
Might consider getting it due the quality of anker products I've had, a charger and a 3.5 mm male to male to have a jack replacement for my hyperx headphones, is it still lasting you?
Yeah, it's solidly built and I use it with my S21 Ultra when I need to record with the lav mic.. that'd admittedly not a regular occurrence, but it feels like it should last a long time.
16.99 us , a USB C mis cost 70 to 100 us , rode or movo but I am not sure about windnoise. with the adapter I can use a LAV and get less wind noise. Tested with my Note 9. Has someone a USB C mic and can tell us about windnoise
@@Endpoint101 it's a cheap (cheaper than GoPro) camera. The clip-on mic that comes with it only has a thin wire to USB-C plug, nothing fancy. 🤷♂️ I have that mic in my motorcycle helmet, so I wanted a better one for vlogging off the bike.

That's a good review. Thank you for sharing it, especially comparing it over spectrograms!

why would they cut their profits
@@weirdphax5406 If you think it’ll hurt your profits to put a headphone jack in a phone, you should probably quit making phones.

Yes 🙂

As far as I know, yes.. as long as your pc has a usb c socket.

Yes, it should work fine with the A53
how about a simple 2$ converter that doesn't have DAC at all?
