I am always amazed with how well she worked with the camera. She knew exactly which camera to look into at the perfect emotional moment in the song. She was not only photogenic but also camera smart.
when your'e working on television, and your'e the only person on the stage.... depending on if the show has 2 or 3 cameras, there is a red light that comes on the top of the camera, so you'll know which one to look into at any given time. Of course, you don't do this if you're acting... that's called "Breaking the fourh wall", but when singing, you WANT to look directly into the camera.

However, only the director and TD knows what camera they are taking at any given time unless there is a floor director pointing to what camera the director is going to next. In my experience of doing live in studio performances, the talent doesn't know what camera they are taking at any given time.

I went and saw the movie Grease in 1977 or 1978 and fell in Love with Olivia Newton-John immediately🩷 I bought all her albums thereafter and would listen to them over and over. My absolute favorite song she sings is I Honestly Love You. She has the voice of an Angel and it’s just soooo pure and innocent, but soooo kind, compassionate and loving and it just pulls you in deep down to your soul. I am soooo sad that she is gone😢😢 She is and will always be one of a kind and no one can sound like her or replace her/be like her ever again.
