    Anyone working on the parkour roll should read this.
    First, work on all roll progressions till you get comfortable with the roll on a soft surface.
    Second, do around 2000 rolls on concrete when you get your soft tissue pathway. This will drill the roll for you completely allowing your muscle memory to remember the path.
    Third, work on elevation by increasing by one feet every month or so. This will be a gradual progress and it might seem long, but it will keep your technique clean. It will also help you reduce your fear of heights. When working on the roll at this stage, try to do the best technique you can possibly do.
    Look at the Tapp brothers drop conditioning video. It is the best leg conditioning video for parkour.
    Thank you, hope this helps.

      No problem. Just saw this post 8 months later and was surprised to see that it had 16 likes.
      I have created a new(on the same video) post which covers any pain that occurs when rolling on a hard surface.

    +TappBrothers thanks so much for taking the time to read my comment and make a video for it, it really means a lot and I will surely keep working on my technique with these new tips. Keep up the amazing work guys. P.S. If you guys are coming to Apex movement any time soon you should make a video about it so some of us can come out and work with you guys :)

      +Capri Sun I would say to start with your basic vaults, lazy, thief, monkey, ect. That's what I learned fist, from that I went to climbing mainly. Then only recently have i learned the PK roll. But yeah, if you really don't know where to start, try getting your vaults down first.

    Hey Tapp Bros, I try to train pretty hard, and I am always pretty sore after workouts(a good sore as in I've gotten a solid workout, not as in I've injured myself). The problem is two days later when I am supposed to work those muscle groups again, they are still to sore work, and they haven't healed all the way. Is that bad nutrition? Do I need to do lighter workouts? Or do I just need to work through it and do the workout anyway? Thanks and keep making the awesome tutorials!

    Im having trouble with cartwheels and i often have bent legs any tips

    • @TappBrothers
      @TappBrothers  9 років тому +22

      +Deniz Ozturk This is a common issue, a couple of things that will help is squeezing the butt. This will open the hips. Then really focus on pointing the toes when you perform your cartwheel. Then, of course, the more flexible you are with your straddle and side split, the easier. So make sure to work on those stretches after your workout session. For me, it took time training all the things mentioned above. You should see gradual improvements as you train ;)

    Great video ! I have a question:
    I'm practicing landing,rolls and drops on a very very soft ground (it's like sponge REALLY) it's some type of grass/turf i don't know but it's really soft. And the question is should i keep training on this, and sometimes go on a normal "Hard" grass or go and stay on "hard" grass ? I mean am i losing something when i practice it on that spongy grass ? I hope that you understand me, English is not my native language. Have a great day !
