- One started a franchise and a legacy and the other introduced a new generation to the fiercest incarnation of Jason Voorhees yet. Vincente DiSanti, director of Never Hike Alone, joins me to debate the good, the bad, and the ugly of both films and shine a light on why most Friday the 13th purists have major issues with the 2009 remake. So refreshing to see two guys discuss their different opinions with understanding and respect👍
Absolutely! A very rare thing nowadays.
Took the words out of mouth ....Objectivity definitely a rarity nowadays
This should be like a new segment where you compare originals and remakes with different people. Keep it up
I'll keep the idea in mind. Thank you!
Yeah it's a bad ass idea
I like that idea too
I think the next movie should pick up where FVJ left off. Everyone thinks Jason is still dead. The final girls that survived the movies gather together at Camp Crystal Lake for group therapy as a way to deal with their trauma. Throw in a few teenagers and a therapist then unleash Jason. Of course Tommy would be there too. Theme around PTSD and trauma. Great show, this was fun.
So stoked for you man that you've collabed with Vincente DiSanti! Your blowing up man! Again, Im very excited and happy for you
Thanks alot man. It was pretty cool getting to chat with Vincente especially on a subject hes this passionate about.
The score for the 2009 remake leaves a lot to be desired but i love the music used in the scene when Jason jumps through the window to grab Clay (Which is also used as the theme in the movie's menu)
Never Hike Alone was really dope.
Yes it was
to me, if it were full length, it could be my favorite. that film got Ft13th.
@CSUNLIMITED it was pretty good. I enjoyed it. a bit too long for me, but I see what you and alot of people are saying. I like the work that has been done for these two films because they really get and understand what Friday fans want, with no studio interference.
I don’t care what anyone says, I love Friday the 13th (2009), don’t understand the hate
Raunchy Conservative agreed
Ye I love that movie it’s so underrated
I understand the hate but I definitely do enjoy it. Riddle me this, how was the original good enough to start a franchise?
I love the remake
It’s a Good Friday film and a fun movie, but as a actual movie, storyline, direction, writing, editing, cinematography. It isn’t thst good
i do Love the Remake. i find it has a great Jason!. good tone and it felt like Friday!. my only problem is the Awful tacked on cheap ending of Jason busting up throu the dock that was weak. but aside from that i enjoy the charecters the kills and i loved Jason's use of tunnels to get around the camp that was smart and i really liked how they made Jason smater and use traps and was more of a hunter
I 100% agree with you
I agree with all of that, I just don’t like how it’s a standalone film:/
Awesome stream. I’d love to see more in the future where you guys debate/discuss other films. I’m definitely gonna check out Never Hike Alone.
I think I simply loved getting anything Friday the 13th that in 2009 I loved it in the theater, but buying the killer cut on DVD the more I watch it the less I need to see it. Where I will pick out 1,2, 6, 7 and X as the ones I wanna I’ll watch all the time, it never strikes me to rewatch the 2009 reboot. I think that is the difference for me, it was a one off, for me. I didn’t mind the explanation of the tunnels, I thought that was brilliant, but why doesn’t he jump out in the beginning? Why does she go on a killing spree? That is why Betsy Palmer didn’t like them making Jason alive and the killer starting in Part 2. She said it made her question why her character was doing the killings in Part 1. She was destroyed and devastated and why she was a psychotic murderer. So I loved 2009 when it came out but over time, just enjoy it every time I watch it and the plot holes and continuity issues just become more apparent and blatant.
I kind of always felt like Jason basically owned the whole camp and the tunnels was how he was able to navigate around undetected and just pop up unexpectedly. To me, I thought it was smart because he feels more human instead of like a ghost where he can just teleport around like in the old school movies. They would be running and he would be walking but somehow he would catch up when they would stumble and fall for a few seconds.
Very interesting idea.
Criticizing that sleeping bag death really caught me off guard
Yup
I enjoyed it.
It really seemed that Vincente was really nitpicking the movie to an absurd level. I get he’s a fan, but he really nitpicked hard
@@IdiocyShow
I know. He’s generally reasonable and articulate, but that’s all I could think was “these are such negligible points” or “all the movies have these same problems”.
@@BareBandSubscription yep! Also he says he doesn’t like the look of Jason in this movie yet used the same design for his “Ghost Jason” 🤦♂️
I'd rank The Final Chapter up there with Dream Warriors and Child's Play 2 as the best slasher sequels!
Absolutely
Yeah the final chapter is up there
Great list! Final Chapter, Dream warriors and Season of the witch are my favourites (although SOTW is only great if you don’t consider it a Halloween sequel). I like child’s play 2 but I personally didn’t find it scary at all.
Halloween 1978 is the best of the Halloween franchise
@@aydenbaldwin3041 hot take
I always thought I was the only one who liked the 09 version until Cody's review last year. It was my first Friday movie in a theater .Now granted it's just in my top 6 but still not a bad movie I might like 1980 a little more but it ain't by much. And I remember it was released on Feb 14 Valentine's Day. Romantic night lol.
I believe it was released February 13 which was a Friday but non the less it was Valentines Day weekend you’re right.
I’m not a huge fan of the remake... I agree it does seem to drag in spots. But I couldn’t disagree more about the look of Jason. I’m the remake he’s a tank, even his mask is cool. Sweet discussion tho.
Great conversation, really enjoyed listening to this!
Thank you
2009 is a pretty good remake I enjoyed it. 👍 👍
I've seen worse lol
Boo
The remake is great
Damn I always seem to miss these live events, glad I’m still able to watch it great vid
Thank you
Jason lives is the best sequel.
That and part 2 I think.
Never hike alone is in my friday the 13th cannon
My favorite one is
Friday the 13th 1980.
Only other ones I like are
Part 2 Part 4 the final chapter
And Part 6 Jason Lives to me are decent. Part 7 is not that bad but certainly not good. Part 3 only has a few good parts but most Rick's eye pop out which HE DID NOT DESERVE. Part 5 is boring as shit
But I like Joey and Vinnie and Pete.
I hate Vic but Tommy Jarvis is okay.
@Derek's Horror Corner dude I hate part 3. I like RICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
George P Wilbur of course. Is now horrofancogger account.
I was really pissed off when they killed off Annie in the original Fri the 13th. Thinking she was going to be the main girl.
Annie was the original Friday's Marion Crane basically. The person you think is going to be the main character then they get killed off early on.
The 2009 isn't a bad remake at all, I just didn't like how they tried to jam three movies in one film. They tried fitting Mrs Voorhees death, Jason wearing the burlap sack (with the one eye hole) in part 2 and part 3 where he gets his icon mask. Not to mention, adding a new arch with the whole missing persons thing. To me the characters weren't that strong either and I was disappointed that they didn't really have a set final survivor that I could sympathize and like because the guys in the film seemed like douchebags and the girls were all stuck up snobs.
The original was a classic because it had cool kills, a mysterious (surprise) killer, great score and a great final girl. The sequel upped it with an underrated Jason (first introduced), an even better final girl (Ginny) and great kills. Third one is my favorite. Four is incredible. After that it became stale.
New subscriber here, love the content and I agree with both points of view and I really appreciate how civil you guys are about it! Side note I’m listening to this while building my part 8 costume!
Haha awesome. Thank you
Watching this again, very enjoyable debate/discussion. I would love to see you and Dave debate a Halloween film or Die Hard because he doesn’t consider it a “Christmas” movie and you do.
I don’t wanna sound disrespectful but I don’t think Vincente fully comprehends that the remake isn’t following the timeline or rules of the previous movies like a sequel or a total shot for shot remake. It grounds Jason as a human and doesn’t make him a supernatural being with powers. He’s just a big wilderness man with mother issues who is violent. They didn’t make him some angry vengeful spirit of the lake. I also love the remake lol
1:39:56 Clay was a lot better than Rob that's for sure. Clay actually fought Jason toe to toe. Rob was easily snuck up on and killed while screaming the blatantly obvious "HE'S KILLING ME."
Great episode and loved the discussion . Great work as always Cody
Thank you
Best imo are 4 and 6.

As far as the ending goes, I absolutely do agree even though this is also my favorite Friday film ever. What I think would have been awesome is if they left him chained up, went to authorities, and when the cops show up to the barn, Jason is just gone. No explanation needed. You think he's dead, they show up to collect his body and he's not there. Would have been a great ending. Any sequel after that could have utilized a "ghost Jason" like in Never Hike Alone. Fucking loved that movie, by the way. My ONLY real gripe with NHA is how every step Jason takes he sounds like an absolute giant even though he's hardly any bigger than the main character. Every step is thunderous for some reason. Now, it doesn't by any means take me out of the movie but it still was a gripe because it's kinda nonsensical.
Someone like Disanti needs to direct a full budget Friday movie. It's obvious he has the passion and Never Hike Alone was one of the best Friday movies lol
Thanks for keeping me entertained all day at work love finding videos like this 🤙🏻
This is a cool discussion. Lots of great points being brought up by both guys. In regards to the future of the franchise, I think one thing they should learn the past is the best films of the franchise have generally been the ones with likable, grounded characters. I think that's where the remake really fails. All the characters are caricatures. I think Final Chapter, and Jason Lives are the two best of the franchise, and that has a lot to do with the characters being pretty likable, and somewhat real.
On a side note, one of the favorite things I've bought in recent memory was the blu-ray for Never Hike Alone. Found it for a halfway decent price on ebay, and I just had to have it. Really great film, and a great job by Vincent and his team.
Thank you
Great stuff man, love the remake, 3rd favorite in the franchise, cool as he'll you got him on here I loved never hike alone, waiting for voorhees now
Thanks a lot
As a “Friday the 13th” fan like Vincente and many others, it felt to me like Vincente was nitpicking. This is a different timeline than the original movies, it’s a reboot. The other movies don’t exist and I think that’s why fans don’t like this movie, they’re holding onto the originals. This is a different story than the originals. And that is why none of the things that Vincente has problems with bothered me.
He’s a Hardcore f13 fan and also a film maker so he sees and notices things that casual viewers don’t
Derek E. I’m a filmmaker also, just not on the level of Vincente and also a hardcore F13 fan, I still think he nitpicks the reboot to much!
Chase McAndrew it’s still waaaaaaaaaaay better than 8-X
Derek E. That’s obvious
Derek E. It’s better than 7 also!
23:28 Looking back at the original Annie should have been the main character. With her and Pamela both being Camp Crystal Lake cooks it would have been a good contrast with Annie as the kind and caring person who wants to help kids and Pamela as the utter nutcase willing to go to any lengths to shut the camp down since she blames them for what happened to Jason and thinks the only way to stop it from happening to more kids is to destroy the camp completely. Alice is boring. She's never set up as the protagonist and only becomes so because she's the only one left alive. If anything Pamela is the film's villain protagonist.
These guys and Dave McRae discussing this would be sick!
Cody and Dave did a podcast with drumdums and WWAM it's called Hallowstream 3 season of the nips
Not a fan of the remake.......but i had no problem with the tunnels. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. I assumed they were already there and never thought he built them. To me, the reason they included the tunnels was to debunk the teleporting Jason. Not so much the ridiculous teleporting like in 8 but in earlier films were it's like he's over here one minute and next thing you know he's way over there. The tunnels explain how he can be over here and next thing you know he's somehow in front of you. Just my take on it.
This waa great. Really cool if Vincente to do this. Hopefully you guys can follow through on the Childs Play one 😊
Steve dash from the 2 movie. Was my aunts personal cab driver years ago in Jax Florida. I had the “sack” head shot autographed.
What if… Pamela had 2 boys and totally hated one of them and never even considered him her son he was almost invisible to her and the one she loved drowned so that’s why she went nuts claiming her only child died but then the neglected son went on the killing spree after witnessing his mother getting killed by a camp counselor and his name was not Jason but since he never speaks nobody knows his name but everyone assumes it’s the kid that Pamela was saying drowned
If I watched a horror movies ten times each, I stopped being scared. If I watched each of the horror movies ten times each, I think it shows how much I liked the movies.
Wow he's obviously a director lol brought up things that I didn't even think about. I agree with so much and disagree with so much.
Won't get into all but I love the outfit in the remake. Love overcoats and I think he looks so cool in it.
Also he mentioned a few times in this and other interviews that they show too much of Jason. I disagree so much on that. I love Jason and love to see him. One of the main reasons I love this film is that they show him a lot. Full body shots. Love that. I don't want to see a 90 minute film with a total of 5 minutes of Jason.
Maybe for shock factor it's ok for first time seeing. Once I've seen the movie I get bored when I know I won't see much of the killer when I re-watch. So I tend not to re-watch films that barely show the killer.
I love never hike alone because I saw Jason so much. His size especially in comparison to the victim and of course his strength. The main reason why I didn't like never hike in the snow is because you barely see Jason. The beginning scene and the camera snap scenes were awesome though.
I hope the next films womp stomp do are more like never hike in the snow. interesting hearing a director speak.
I liked the 2009 remake!
Great discussion, really enjoyed the collaboration! Btw, in the beginning you talk about that the first Friday is barely the favorite of anyone. Which is absolutely true, but someone who likes the 1980 movie better than all the sequels is Dave McRae. And it’s definetely in my top 3 too. Also I don’t think the Killer Cut makes the remake much better, it’s mostly just extending a few scenes but doesn’t make it a much better movie imo.
I recall Barney Cohen (the writer of The Final Chapter) saying his idea in killing Jason was that the trauma turns Tommy into a killer (the new Jason), and that the series would be the transference of the trauma from movie to movie, so there could be a new killer, while retaining the Jason style, each movie. I think this could be worth exploring.
I’d give anything to sit down with Vicente to discuss F13 for 2 and a half hours
I love never hike alone it is at least the best fan film I’ve ever seen but I completely agree that 2009 is one of the top three in the franchise, my favorite is part 6 then it’s either 2009 or part 4 so got to agree with Cody on this one but hope Vincent sorry if I messed up the spelling but you should make the next Friday movie for sure, you got my vote and good chat!!
Richard Brooker is my personal favorite....But Derek Did a fine job.
I really enjoy F13 ‘09, one of the big reasons I enjoy it is the interpretation of Jason in that film. Derek Mears is the most scary, realistic and brutal version of the character to date! My favorite. The opening scene until the title drop is some of the best F13 anything in the entire franchise. The movie definitely isn’t as good after the title drop, but it’s still a fun ride and a lot of fun to watch. Gives those classic Friday feels while having the best cinematography in the franchise. Lots of people bitch about the underground tunnels in the camp and the teenagers. The underground tunnels are clever because it explains how he gets around the camp. And people act like the characters are bad. They aren’t bad, they are just stereotypical for the franchise. Trent isn’t the only asshole in the franchise lol. Hunter/survivalist Jason makes sense and it’s badass AF
I love the score to 2009. Steve Jablonsky is a great artist. The 1980 score is also classic and will always be great.
The Remake isn’t the best but gives us a better cozy summer time pond lake camp feel!!
2:13:10 Cody's idea reminds me of a Friday the 13th comic called How I Spent My Summer Vacation where a kid called Davie who has deformities similar to Jason and goes to a camp near Crystal Lake gets tormented by the kids there who tell him about the legend of Jason to scare him then they nearly drown him but Jason saves him and kills the kids. Davie then runs away from Jason with 2 of the camp counsellors who get killed by the sheriff who's high on meth so Jason basically kidnaps Davie and looks after him. It ends when Jason tackles the sheriff over a cliff.
That was an awesome stream (mainly because of the chat lmao)
Can't wait for Saturday
George P Wilbur what’s Saturday? Scream Stream?
@@dylanthomas1274 Saturday I'm going horror movie hunting. For example I found the remake of Friday the 13th for 3$ in the 5$ bin at Walmart.
George P Wilbur oh nice! Just added the entire run of Tales From The Crypt to my collection, and the Movie Demon Knight on Scream Factory! Stoked to show them all to my girlfriend this coming week!! Happy hunting man!
@@dylanthomas1274 thanks brotha. Hoping I will get Chucky.
To do a Pamela story, would revitalize this franchise. Honestly, if they did a Netflix original special with 5-6 episodes, done right, fans would really enjoy it. It has so much potential to gain new younger generations to go back and eat it up.
It’s funny because they might actually be doing that.
The 2nd movie retconed his drowning, and his first death is in part 4 as far as I'm concerned. So when the remake showed kid Jason seeing his mom die, it didnt bother me. Those issues I place on part 2 it came I with that idea. I dont really put it as a negative though because consitstancy isnt what Friday the 13th is based on. By definition its a franchise built on retconning the killers motive.
What I liked:
1. Jason is human again. Fast, athletic, cunning, emotional, and can be killed without gimmicks like toxic waste, psychic powers, or magical daggers.
2. Anyone could have died: The virginal good girl who didn't drink, fuck, or curse was rewarded with a machete through her chest. Jason didn't give a fuck.
3. Homages to Jason's origins like the burlap sac, finding the mask, etc.
What was weak:
1. Besides Chewie, Clay, Jenna, Whitney, and Jason, all the other characters had zero personality. They also weren't likable. The slutty blonde was a slut for the sake of being a slut. The black character was a token jerk who made tired race jokes, even for 2009. Trent was a douche who died way too late in the plot.
2. The prologue was TOO rushed and they fucking did Mrs. Voorhees dirty by not giving her remake actress enough time to even TRY to live up to the intensity Betsy Palmer gave. I was not a fan of black and white. 1980 was bursting with color. It looked like discount Sin City.
3. The ATMOSPHERE was inconsistent. During the evening scenes it worked, but during the day, the Platinum Dunes brand was showing its tropes. Sepia tones everywhere, Michael Bay "late afternoon lighting", characters being sweaty and shiny for no reason other than to be sex objects, certain portions feeling like a HOLLISTER commercial...you were trying to capture the essence of the 1980s and all we got was a shittily sang Night Ranger song for 25 seconds.
I cannot understand complaining about "filler" in the remake if you like the original. Like, did you forget that the original forces us to watch Alice make coffee in real time for no reason? Or that there's a "snake attack" scene that also happens for no reason?
I can watch all of the Friday the 13th movies except Jason takes Manhattan. I hope the lawsuit ends soon.
Maybe the reason Jason killed his mother, not out of revenge, but out of guilt. Jason may have been abused by his mother, so he hide from her. When he saw her die, he started feeling guilty. He may have realized how much his mother loved him.
Here is another theory, Jason hid from his mother, because he thought he was a burden, because she always have to watch over him.
Alice opens the door at the end because she thinks it's Steve Christie driving up in his Jeep. Also, tying the door, even if it opens in, could still keep it shut if you tie it properly to something off to the side.
I didn't mind the 09 remake. I just wish it would have had better characters and more of Mrs Voorhees. It did have beautiful girls and nice kills and Jason was cool with his speed and lethal quick kills. He was like Rambo 😆 the story was just like taking parts of 2, 3, 4 and a big mess. To me it gets worse every time I watch it. The characters are probably the worst of the series. Jason was great, after that the characters are just filler.
I LOVE the remake! Jason is brutal and badass, lots of good kills and gore, and it definitely has the best tits in the franchise. That fuck scene with Bree is goddamned awesome! Or should I say stupendous? Lol
I agree with almost everything Vincente said about the Remake. Its not like Jason to take in a hostage. And killing everyone after that title sequence was for nothing,
He made other great points as well. But we needed a movie so really no complaints here I guess.
You made great points as well Cody with the original, one of your points that stood out to me was not being introduced to Pamela Voorhees earlier..
I'm 44 , I grew up watching Friday the 13th, I was about 6 when I first watched the original and by the time part 3 was out on Beta tape I was 7 . I love 1-4 for me they are the true Friday the 13th films that follow a strict recepi of music , sounds and gore. I also love Jason being able to run , grunt when he's hurt and stalk his prey . The later ones do none of this he's basically a walking zombie an in hurtable sack of potatoes. Once we get to part 5 it's over although even part 5 follows this very familuar recepi. I will say this part 5 was a fun movie just not a real Friday the 13th movie. For me I would say in all honesty part 4 is the best out of the series it has more , better and everything you want in a Friday movie as well as any slasher movie. All though I've always had a soft spot for part 3 cause it's the first time I saw Jason as the Jason we came to know. As far as the first Friday , it's ranked 4th for me , it's better in certain catagorys but I have it 4th behind part 2 , part 4 , 3, 2, 1
You know a movie is bad when the founder of the producing studio calls it smut
To be fair, that’s most horror films in the 70s and 80s
The Steve Jablonsky soundtrack sounds exactly like his Texas Chainsaw remake score.
didn't Jason wear a utility belt in 6?
They need to just reboot this franchise from scratch and rebuild it from the ground up with the intention of sequels in mind, to avoid continuity errors.
Write a good story with new character arks and plot twist to inject fresh, modern elements to the series.
Most importantly... ditch the stupid undead, unstoppable Jason and make him an intelligent, interesting serial killer. The more realistic Jason is, the scarier he will be.
Anyone ever tackle the fact that in the original first 4 films it is accepted that Pamela was born in 1939 and Jason drowned in 1957. They even have her tombstone with 1939 on it. And he was supposed to be 10 yrs old at the time of his death in '57. See where i am headed with this ?
I thought the remake was strong, definitely better than a third of the franchise, can't say it's better than the original
The original is the worst.
@@gvidovaldmanis6377 tell that to part 8.
Loved the remake
Same
Sorry, but I'm still not a fan of the 2009 film. Not only does the shakycam and constant shadows annoy me, but there's nothing genuine in the performances like there was in the older films(it was cheesy, sure, but I'll take those yokels from Part 5 over anyone here any day) and I don't see the point in even it being a remake given how different the plot is. They could've just done a standalone Friday film.
I do think Derek Mears was awesome, though. And the kills were good.
I think horror fans are the sweetest people, they manage to get over their fear and control it by watching these movies
The 2009 remake is actually the best. I’m a Jason fan but me personally if I had to rank the first 3 original Friday the 13th movies compared to slasher counterparts it falls behind Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween.
So, no mention that Friday the 13th (2009) (and presumably all the other Platinum Dunes Horror Remakes) officially exist in the same universe as Michael Bay's Transformers Movies? Travis Van Winkle alias Trent DeMarko appeared with all his douchebag behaviour in Transformers (2007), America Olivo alias Amanda played a small cameo as the Frisbee Girl in College in Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009).
The winner is Nightmare on Elm: Dream Warriors. Just turn both the movies off and watch Dream Warriors. But no for real I like the 1980 film better. Nostalgia and the films suspense factor where you don’t know who it is much more scary maybe my opinion will change in a few years. But hey if you like don’t feel ashamed! But to be honest neither of them are you my favorite I like Final Chapter and Jason Lives the most.
Guess I’m not a Friday fan because the first is my favorite. 😞
Hahaha
VocalAntagonist the first (1980) is boring, there’s like one good kill, I know I’m going to get criticized for this but I don’t find Jason’s Mother than intimidating, the suspense on paper make have looked good by it was executed poorly F13 (1980) for me is one of the worst slasher movies
The original is my favorite too bro.
@@things2593 the original is my favorite.
Actually part 4 the final chapter is my favorite.
Cmon Vincente, trashing the dialogue in 2009? The dialogue in 1980 was terrible
OMG I feel the exact same way about Friday the 13th 2009, I was 16 and 17 when they were making that film and highly
Excited about it, but when I finally saw it I was terribly let down. And I saw it 3 times to try to convince myself it was good but it was jus trash, the characters were half 1 dimensional, every damn thing was TOO DARK and worst of all the kills were weak as hell
I really liked the first 25 minutes, but do agree that Nana Visitor's Pamela was overdone.
That ‘Rap label’ joke in 2009 had the most predictable punchline in the franchise. anyone smarter than Jason himself knew the punchline from the very start of the joke.
The 2009 Friday the 13th reboot (it’s not a “remake”) is amazing. Derek Mears is one of the best versions of Jason ever- much better than the overrated Kane Hodder.
Isn’t it a reboot
By definition every remake is a reboot. But not all reboots are remakes. Lol
@@CodyLeachYT true
16:10 yessss exactly why part 1 is my favorite. i was born in 98 so nostalgia doesnt mess up my views on these movies. pamelas 3 minutes of screen time was scarrier than any jason.
Part 1 is the worst in my opinion.
Part 4 is pretty close though you have to admit.
I’m sorry but the remake is the best out of the whole franchise, the majority of these films are a joke. But to each their own I guess..
I concur
Anyone notice that the guy can run his mouth about F13 2009, but can't take an ounce of criticism when other people criticize his own films? What a clown.
Bruh he feels the exact same way I and many others really feel about F13 2009, even down to the part about seeing it multiple times to convince ourselves we liked it...the movie was just an underwhelming, annoying cash grab, nothing. And the entire idea of making Jason a human and all that was just an excuse to lower the budget, Zombie Jason crushing heads would’ve been way too expensive I guess lol, so they just did the cheapest lamest kills all of which you can barely see cause everything is so darn DARK

I have never been the biggest fan of Friday the 13th, any of them. Actually, I've always preferred Sleepaway Camp to Friday the 13th.
Me too
Whoa, really?! Dude. I thought I was on an island with that opinion. Lol. Next time someone gives me flack for that, I'm gonna say, "Hey, UA-camr Cody Leach thinks so too, so screw you!" XD haha.
gnc623 Sleepaway Camp 1-3 are such a slept movie series.
I prefer the original over 2009, but I’d still rather watch 2009 over New Beginning and Jason Takes Manhattan tbh but’s that just me. Also no the original is not my favourite I think 2,3,4,6 and Freddy Vs Jason are all better
The original Friday the 13th gets too much hate for it being boring 🙄. Although it's my number #1 the best sequel to me is actually part 4 the final chapter or part 6 Jason Lives I can't really decide.
It's fun watching You Cody love Friday the 13th 2009 but actually it's a little too boring for me. Part 3 is way too boring for me but some of it works. I have never really liked part 5 a new beginning but alot of it works more then part 3, I actually find Roy Burns to be kind of entertaining for a replacement but it's either him or Pamela Voorhees who get hated on 😒 usually it's Roy Burns.
Loved Never hike alone!🖤
I love the original Friday the 13th!
Filme sensacional! Parabéns Vicente Disanti ! Fã demais do jason voohess! Brasil!
16:19 Pamela could act like an innocent old woman and lure people in which she almost did with Alice until memories of Jason's drowning set her off. Whereas what you see is what you get with Jason. A deformed revenant wearing a hockey mask can't exactly play innocent so he just goes for the direct approach.
Wish we could’ve gotten a sequel for the remake. That’s one of the few things I don’t like about that film, feels like it goes nowhere and is just a standalone film. A bit forgettable for most people and I fucking hate to say that cause it’s my fav
No Jason Anime please!!!!!!
5:37 When I first watched the original when I was younger it was the same for me. I was like "Where's Jason." I didn't understand that his mother was the killer at first because at the time I thought Jason was the killer in all the films. As I got older though and found out that Jason wasn't the killer in 1 or 5 I understood then. At the time I didn't know there were different killers in some of the films of horror franchises. I thought it was always the same killers in all the films. But as I discovered films like Scream where it's different killers in every film. I realised that some horror series have more than 1 killer.
