- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- This song is inspired by Indian classical forms but is presented in a contemporary rock fashion. The overpowering emotion in the song is of happiness & celebrations. Since it is a tarana it has no lyrics but is an amalgamation of various ragas. The predominant raga used is Malhar.

Can we all agree that this is the most under-rated song of coke studio! This deserves thousands of millions viewers!
+arpit gangwal They won the coke studio push award for the year 2013 for this track :)
+arpit gangwal that was the exact thing that came to my mind.. i mean c'mon just 500k views????
arpit gangwal never mind.... there are musically illiterate people who don't watch such great video that's what I can say
arpit gangwal ... agam is my favorite since the last few years .... thing is they don't project their band too much instead promotes real pure music .....
arpit gangwal 1
I heard this song as background music to a wedding video back in 2018. I searched a lot for the music but was unsuccessful. 5 years later i discover accidentally this wonderful piece of music! Just amazing Agam !
Agam deserves more recognition, more respect

Thanks for writing in! Really sad to see that you din't like our effort - but we value your feedback and will work harder to do better. However, we do believe we have done more than playing keyboards (usually on a yamaha PSR) to Hamsadhwani. maybe, you already know this - this composition is in Raag Mian Malhar and Brindavan Sarang (NOT Hamsadhwani). Writing this for general benefit . Thanks!
Harish (Agam)
i honestly enjoyed it alot.. please do experiment and produce more :) best regards from Malaysia
I cant work or function without listening to Malhar Jam atleast once a day!
Happy to see most of the people adore you now.. You are beyond words and your personality even far better.. Wishing you success you deserve and even more ... Take care Harish bhai... With lots of love.. A fan of ur music ...

Before 7 years, I was just got astonished while seen one Keralite guy performing on the coke studio floor. But ow I am really proud of Harish, because he once again proved that the hard work will always conquer the Everest one day. Still, this video doesn't get that much recognition as it deserves. Like all other works from Agam, this one has its own signature.
Thanks, Harish for your overwhelming effort to make us joyous with your own pure music!!!
dear jishnu to understand the ultimate greatness of composition and god blessed talent of a voice like Harish, people need to mature many times over , he ranks among the best in rendering soulful compositions which touch the hearts and minds , not mere body

I'm a Pakistani and I appreciate this genre as I'm a huge fan of Coke Studio Pakistan and this genre of Classical with modern beats..

Welcome Brother :)
It's excellent. No words after listening to this beautiful rendition. This year I'm taking this song for our annual day for my Vocal Music students. I'm a vocalist & teaching in CBSE english medium school.
Agam deserves MORE RESPECT... Its cruel that these magicians are not getting 1/1000 of the respect they should get... Love you Harishettaa and the entire band 💓💓💓💓
💯
Dw they have a small yet STRONG fan base. As a hardcore Maharashtrian I don't understand a single word of their carnatic fusions but the instrumental explorations r (omg!) next level. And I'm basically obsessed w the band.
Edit: their music crosses language barriers cuz the rendering and exploration is rich enough. Unlike other songs which r nothing if lyrics aren't understood. Very few artists reach that level.
"മേഘ മൽഹാർ " രാഗത്തോടുള്ളെ ഇഷ്ടം കൊണ്ട് വന്നു നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ ' AGAM' ❤️

Heard it like thousand times and thought of quit hearing this but here I am roaming around this masterpiece over and over again...careful guys this man will cast a spell on u with his voice that u wont even realize u r actually lost and chained in his music😍
and you nailed it with your awesome comment
Even after all these years...you know when you listen to that Miyan Ki Malhar and Vrindavana Saranga...you get some kind of peace which you cannot explain with mere words. As a great fan of Vrindavana Saranga and ofcuz malhars i cannot be without listening to Malhar Jam regularly. Also i take the pregressives in this song to practice...which gives your voice extreme dynamics...thanks to Agam
India classical music is pride of India we need more like this... 😍
True
The Fact that this song has so few views gives an impression that there are very few who actually admire carnatic rock music... Its such a sad state !!!
I have been listening to this song since 3 years. I never felt even for single second to not to listen to this track. Who cares about other's ratings or comments...

Amazing song! Agam is a fantastic band, I had the chance to catch them in their early years in Bangalore, stellar performances by a highly talented group. They continue to explore and push the boundaries in fusion rock. The use of Dilruba on this track is exquisite!
the flute, the sarengi, all the instruments laajawab... breathtaking...

Boby, Thanks for writing in - Again. I would like to reiterate, we value your opinion and feedback and will work towards doing better as musicians. We do not specifically agree to your bracketing our effort to be the same as playing "Vathapi Ganapathim" with guitars + keys and have a drums + mridangam + ghatam standoff (taniavarthanam) at the end. We have worked hard to not play music like that and believe have done more than that. Thanks again for engaging in this conversation. Appreciate it.
This is so awesome..just love it.

So nice composed, music is the best

The most under rated singer... What a talent is he....
The only reason why this is not getting much reorganization is the lack of knowledge of classical music. If we talk about the past at that time when this masterpiece was released, not much people have the knowledge of classical music and now also. Somehow in the era of pop or smooth or jass, the classicals are going downward but if we consider this then no one can say this is downgraded because this is a combination of classical and rock or indo classical. But somehow it still is not getting what this deserve. All the musicians, artists have done there job very nicely. Salute to all, love from all over the world 💖💖🌹
Little late to have been introduced to this fabulous music. Absolutely fantastic! Only pure talent and passion can create a masterpiece like this.

Music needs no words to understand, its a mode to convey the emotions "Rasa" irrespective of language or borders. And this complete presentation conveys each bit of the emotion of happiness and celebration that "Megh malhaar" brings into our life
