I'm originally from the Bay area and moved to Atlanta. I was super excited to finally experience living in a predominantly blk city lol. Whew, I had never experienced so much wickedness in my life 😩 I lasted 3 years and moved back to the west coast. Ppl are extra foul out there. The energy is heavy and demonic. I couldn't deal.

I’m a native of Atlanta, and I would have to agree with you. Atlanta has become very superficial. Glad I have my small circle of down to earth friends and basically keep to myself.
I'm in my late 60's and grew up here and there has always been fake people trying to keep up with the Jones's. It's always been young people in their 20's and 30's trying to act like the people in their 40's, 50's, and 60's who have made it and are living good. These days there are too many people coming here trying to get into the entertainment and UA-cam video business and thinking they're going to be met with open arms and when they get scammed or mistreated they act like everyone in ATL is like that. If you get with the right people you will enjoy yourself and you won't be going on UA-cam videos complaining your bad experiences that you brought on yourself.
It didn’t get bad here until all these people with their previous city’s vibes moved here. There used to be southern hospitality and friendliness in Atlanta. Now it’s a lot of cold spirited people here. I kind of keep to myself. I don’t like the vibe here anymore and I’ve lived here all my life. Plus it’s too congested and getting worst. The extra traffic is very noticeable if you’re a native Atlantan.
I’m actually pretty shocked people are still moving to Atlanta. But many of the things you spoke of are actually pretty insightful. It does take time to find your way, but keep it up and don’t quit if you have a plan to make the move meaningful for yourself and to serve others. Put God first and you will never be alone.
I live in middle ga since 2010, before Covid people were moving to Atlanta cause of the culture, now a lot of people moving to the outskirts down to where I live and the economy is getting to be the same. I wish Ga as a whole wasn’t so slow with what the state wants to be
What people complain about in Atlanta it’s much worse other places especially up north. You can do just fine here if you making the right moves. Also the suburbs are nice
I just moved to ATL in September and I literally agree with everything you said! The way you described Atlanta as being low-vibrational is spot on, it definitely has a negative energy about it. I have been trying to find more genuine kind people to hangout with in the city and it has been tough.

I was going to move down after obtaining my Master’s hoping to work for the CDC. I was blocked. When I went to visit a couple times after this I felt this vibe that said “This is not home.” I was happy that in that moment I realized rejection is God’s protection. It is a place with low vibe energy and I’m blessed that God protected me from that.
One specific area does not constitute a city as being with low vibe energy. What do you all expect? This is not Hollywood CA, or some big time northern city. Atlanta is in the Deep South. Do your homework before considering relocating here.
I'm from up north and didn't experience that dark vibe in Sandy Springs... or Dunwoody areas... it was the opposite and very BRIGHT, uplifting there... maybe you lived in places like Stone Mountain or Lithonia ??
I was born and raised in Atlanta and I'll say this. Out of town transplants invaded Atlanta, moved here, polluted the culture, and brought their bad driving, and general ratchedness down here with them. There used to be southern hospitality and all that, but after waves of people from northern cities brought that cold, indifferent, off putting energy. The main people who complain about Atlanta aren't from Atlanta, and many of the complaints they have about Atlanta are a result of people moving here from other places. Inflated cost of living... Population boom from transplants. Bad driving... Usually a result of transplants from NY and Florida. Traffic. Massive influx of transplants... See also:bad driving. Hmmm. In her case, it sounds like she doesn't know how to navigate the city effectively. I know how to get around traffic using side streets and back roads... Ijs🤷🏿♂️ Materialistic people, fakers and scammers. Usually transplants from NY, LA, Florida, among other places Standoffishness, hustle-till-I-die, don't-waste my time mentality... Transplants from northern cities like Detroit, Chicago, and NYC. The parking racket... Yep, it's bad. But I don't deal with that when I go to downtown, midtown, etc. No boots, no tows, if I do pay to park it's usually in a deck, and it's not crazy expensive. Bad vibes... Sure, it's the collective energy of transplants who fucked up the vibes for many of the reasons listed above. Most of her other complaints and commentary are just part of living in a big city. I don't know where she came from in Indiana, but I don't know what she was expecting when she moved to Atlanta. But I've been reading comments about cities like Charlotte and Houston and they are experiencing a lot of the same issues because of what? You guessed it... Transplants. Collectively they often create the problems they complain about.🤷🏿♂️
You're exactly right. Us real ATLeins give no fux and don't have any problems here because we know where to go and what to do. And we travel and don't complain about places we go.
Yea… I have been here a long time, but my friends I met in college that are natives of ATL will tell you they do not spend their time trying to be in downtown Atlanta all the time or at the clubs. It’s so much more to do.
@KFontLab THIS. I'm from atl. Me and my friends are rarely associating with the kind of people in these comments and rarely go downtown. All these comments talking about everybody is fake. Yea. TAKE YALL FAKE SASSES HOME😂
I lived here from 2017 to 2018 for a career opportunity and I hated it! I was in Sandy Spring/Marietta area. It’s self centered and hustle mentality. A lot of users there and a VERY black cloud over that state. No one was genuine nor true friendship. Out of the year I was there I made one ☝🏽 connection with someone and still talk to her this day. The hate was real and people love to see you fall so they could have something to talk about. The only reasons I’ll come to Atlanta is for food and shopping. A lot of witchcraft there too 🤦🏽♀️
Yes indeed! I moved to GA not far from Marietta last year. I will be moving back home to NY in September. I don't like the energy here and people are haters.
You all are speaking of people in Atlanta as it’s the native Atlantans that’s bad but in reality 9 out of 10 time the people you’re complaining about aren’t even from Atlanta. Metro Atlanta has been taken over by the transplants. Ask around and guarantee you hardly anyone is from Atlanta.
I'm not really sure what area you live in but I am a Georgia native and live approximately 30-45 (Depending on that traffic you're referring to...lol) minutes Northwest of Atlanta. You are 100% correct, it's a complete nightmare. The money you have to spend to have a night out for dinner is criminal. Try to visit some places outside the metropolitan area and go see some beautiful places if you can. If you can get away to do that maybe you'll meet some really good people that will show you some Southern hospitality and the charm wer'e known for. I truly hate that you aren't being treated with respect and are getting negative vibes from so many people. I think it's important that you are reading the energy of those low vibrational souls and I hope you are distancing yourself from those people. We're living in a time where it's essential to use discernment and follow your intuition. Growing up here I had so many friends and hardly ever had any worries but the world is a different place from when I was your age and my circle is so so small now but I know with certainty that I can trust and depend on them. Don't ever let anyone try to dim your light beautiful. Sometimes your light irritates their demons. You seem like a very intelligent young lady with a beautiful heart and the spiritual war is real and has been for a while so if you're feeling the low vibrations/frequencies it could be that you can feel you're being attacked. The devil doesn't attack lost souls, he goes after the ones that carry love and light. That means you are doing something right. Keep on being your beautiful self and you'll find some real friends. I'm sending love & light to you now. ❤
Focus on yourself and stay out of the clubs and the ridiculously overpriced restaurants and you'll be ok. And ignore anyone with negative vibes because everyone is not your friend.
Girl! I’m from California and have been in Georgia for 2 years now. I say I’m “California Black, not Atlanta Black” because the lack of comradery amongst us is so real. This wasn’t the move, and when my nephew gets older, I’ll be moving.
@@Ybthadreadhead Southern Cali is a beast & if you can survive SoCal, with the traffic, obscene cost of living prices & the hustle mentality, you can definitely make it the ATL.
I'm from Indiana too and you couldn't pay me to move to Atlanta. Back in the late 90's when I got out of HS a lot of people from my hometown were moving to Atlanta because it was a popping up and coming city and touted as a Black mecca where all your dreams will come true. I thought about moving there but something told me not to. Glad I listened to my gut!
Your dreams will come true if you come here with the right mindset and know what you're capable of doing. Us natives can always spot the scammers but the out of town folks can't. The bs doesn't bother us because we know where to go and not go and we know how to make money.
@@alpo723 Dude us ATL folks go to Miami when we want the beach and Miami vibe. We live good in the A and travel all over the world. We don't want Miami every day. We go everywhere. In fact, lots of people in ATL with money have homes or condos in Miami, LA, Vegas, NYC, Dubai, or anywhere we choose but ATL is home.
I lived in ATL for 20 years and it was the loneliest 20 years of my life. I think the word you're looking for is cliquish. If you're different, don't speak, sound or act like them, you won't fit in. The natives will know you're not from there by how you speak and they won't like you for that reason. The fake "wannabes" won't like you if you're not fake like them. I know what I experienced. It was hard to find a genuine friend. It lacks family values and will force you into partying or doing things you don't care about doing. A single woman looking for a real relationship will be very disappointed. I have sat in traffic for many, many hours as you said. Sometimes accidents, other times you have no idea why you've sat there so long. Definitely pros and cons as I loved the Arts and Theatre. You just have to have your mind clear and focused on the reason(s) you're moving there. Great video and I hope people really listen to what you're saying!
I said don't move to Georgia over 20 years ago. I've been here over 30 years. I's over crowed, terrible traffic, everyone has a scam. There a realtor, entertainer, rapper, music singer, actor, music producer, movie director, ceo, model, entrepreneur, life coach, friend of a celebrity, athlete, song writer and I can go on. Most are living outside there means and everybody that is in the music industry has a music studio. Which is either in there apartment in the bedroom, living room or in their mama basement. I'm not saying this is only exclusive here, but it's been like this since the early 90's. Oh and now we have the youtubers social media influencers and podcasters. The delusion is real here and everybody got a scam. #1 scam by my e-book and you can make 6 figures. Oh and everybody has a clothing line and hair and beauty website.
First of all you all need to learn how to drive, in all types of weather. Really, going 5 miles in the speeding lanes. The biggest scam is the traffic violations! Biggest set up ever!!!! Putting people on probation for a speeding ticket, cause you can't afford to pay the minimum. The reason why so many young ppl in jail is for nonpayment of child support as well. WICKED SET OF PPL DOWN SOUTH!!! NO THANK YOU.
Call me weird but I love Atlanta. I left Oakland for the Navy at 18. Was stationed in Jacksonville, FL for 6 years. I had driven up to ATL to visit in 2002, got orders and was stationed here for 5 years. They made me leave for New Orleans sadly. I moved to DFW to raise my son, and got back to ATL in 2022. You MUST have an industry you can thrive in. As anywhere in life, you need to love your work. You need to be self-sufficient meaning you don't HAVE to have a friend circle. You need to love nature, because there is plenty to do with all these mountains around here. I love house music and was one of a handful of female house djs back in the day. House scene is still poppin'. Rent is back to reasonable since pandemic. I know when to drive out with the least traffic. I take the backroads. I shop at Aldi. I cook at home. If you are not content within, you won't be content ANYWHERE. A friend of mine was trying to get into film here, so she kept meeting all the fake people. I'm real, so I know how to suss out real people, but I mainly just keep.to myself. I enjoy my life, my hobbies, and the region. This is home for me. I would NEVER move back to Cali. Cost and culture make it so.
Thanks. I've noticed the majority of people who's complaining about Atlanta are the ones who immediately went to the nightlife, entertainment and hip-hop scenes. When the reality is that you're played yourself for even getting involved with that knowing that you're new to the city. While everyone that moved to Atlanta focused on employment and housing first, love the resources and opportunities ATL has to offer black people and is living comfortably within their means. I'm definitely there in a few weeks and looking forward to working and living around laid-back simple black people like myself. I was just living in LA for the last decade and I'm tired of being the only black person at the job site, smh. Felt like I was in Mexico, I'm never living on the west coast again

Moved to Atlanta in 1987 from Los Angeles. 4:12 into this video - She is right and spot on about people don't want to have anything to do with you if you do not have any value to offer them. Friendships are only contingent upon when they need something from you. I am having a hard time dealing with this. Regarding networking, you still have to be careful who you engage with because the perpetrators move in those spaces as well.
You’re not alone, I recently moved to ATL after living in Southern California (Seal Beach & Irvine) for 5 years and I must say I definitely felt the energy shift and it was not a shift for the good either. I also noticed here in ATL they put on like they have it all together but they don’t. Not just materially, but even down to the level of customer service and quality attention to detail.
This!!!!!!! Had me almost in tears and I was just in the airport! I hadn't gotten to the city yet. I literally couldn't believe it. Never again... not even a layover.
I’m from Atlanta and live in Seal Beach ! I love Southern California not ever moving back to Atlanta ! I’m no sell out and a coon ! But Atlanta is just too much of a trap town ! I'm surprised she didn't say that Atlanta is too gay and has too many downlow men ...that discouraged me too ever moved there by that fact alone ...I'm a single blk woman and I want to get married and have children before I'm 30 yrs old ..
Chiile! As one lady put it: "Atlanta. Where the husbands are gay, and the wives don't know it!" I have gay friends and they say ATL is the "Gay capital of the South". Stay away.
Lived in the Atlanta Metro area from 2002-2009. I left right as the film and tv stuff was blowing up. I worked private security most weekends and also in city goverment. I do think there are some authentic people there, but I know many who literally lost their minds and spirits in Atlanta. 7 years was enough for me, but still enjoy traveling back for various events.
Wow! Thats frightening. So when you left ATL did you move to another southern state? Or up North? I hear there’s a difference and am weighing relocation options.
I had a friend who was trying to get into acting. She ended up homeless for 6 months, depressed and suicidal. I keep to myself, stay in nature, and I'm thriving. There is a science to living here.
I'm from the midwest and lived in TX for 4 years. It was similar. My friend moved to TN and has similar complaints. Honestly, I think the south is a hard adjustment for midwesterners.

Everyone bashing Atlanta came here because they were looking for something they may have heard about or thought it was supposed to be. You need to think that other people before you did the same thing. The "atmosphere" has changed because so many people came down with some kind of preconceived notion. You blaming/bashing a city that's made up of people not from here with good and bad intentions. Hurricane Katrina brought a lot of people from New Orleans, and high costs brought a lot of people from New York, NJ, California, Florida, etc. And please tell me what city doesn't have bad traffic unless you have a population in the hundreds? Traffic wasn't as bad up until the early 2000s. All of a sudden, everybody was like I need to move to Atlanta, one because the home prices were low. Then, when the movie industry moved here, more people started to come because of that. Which in turn drove home prices up, led to the increase in traffic, brought good and bad "elements" to the city. Tell me, what was your reason for moving here? Also, what large populated city doesn't have the same issues? There are phony people everywhere, scammers everywhere , people pretending to be something they're not, everywhere. So to say I get a little irritated whenever someone comes here and bash the city, when if it were so great where they came from, they wouldn't have moved, is an understatement. I said what I said.
Exactly, jumping online complaining when she should “go cry in the car.” Every county, city, state, country, and continent has its good and bad things about it. The most important questions will always remain; who and what are you bringing to the environment? Great comment.
I lived in Metro Atlanta since 2001. Every single thing this girl is saying is absolutely true. I just moved away from that place. The best moved I ever made. When I finally finished moving I couldn’t get to the Interstate fast enough. I was gone on the first thing smoking. I can’t do it anymore.
Yes and yes. My last day of work there I almost got hit driving three times. Hell I almost got hit the same day I LEFT Atllanta. Whatever you want to call it yes I threw in the towel. You can have that shit.

She spoke nothing but the truth. Atlanta has lost its charm, now resembling a less appealing version of reality TV stereotypes with people lacking manners and decency. The sense of community and hospitality is nowhere to be found.
3:42 The mentality? You are from the Midwest so you come from a ENTRIELY different world than the people from here. Im from Ohio so I TOTALLY agree with what you said. The reason why ATL went down the toilet? Social Media The Atlanta housewives "lifestyle" mentality The myth of "Atlanta is a rich black city!!" (Atlanta has a VERY large rich and poor gap) The get rich mentality The old school values withering away (1996 to 2006 was the best era for ATL....) Single parent home epidemic (This is single handedly the MAIN reason for real because a Dad in the home can make or break a child's mentality and outlook on life.) The absolute obsession with SOCIAL CLASS here.
The 1996 Olympics is absolutely the line of demarcation between the old Atlanta and the new. I grew up in College Park in the 80s and loved the whole southside vibe of the city back then.
I agree! I’m from KY and I have been to Atlanta three times bc I have family there. Once in 1996, 2002 and 2006. It’s nice to see your own color EVERYWHERE but it’s definitely a “different” city…

Atlanta as you see it now isn’t old Atlanta. This is literally a transplant city that no longer has its own charm or identity. Hundreds of people move to Atlanta daily, so therefore you’re not seeing the true spirit of ATL. Keep in mind that it’s the new Hollywood too.
I’m from Atlanta and it’ll never be the same. It’s becoming run down, congested, people drive crazy and the “southern hospitality” no longer exists. It’s probably better in the extreme northern Atlanta suburbs where almost all whites live. But in the black Atlanta metro area it’s a totally different vibe. White people try to live in their own worlds here.

People who go to Atlanta for clubs and the scene are always going to be disappointed. That's true of any city in the U.S. Personally, I like cities with universities, good libraries, and a good airport so I can get out of the country when I need to.
You’re right about everything you say. A person has to be focused on their goals in Atl, otherwise you can get sidetracked and sucked in to the materialism and all the other associated decadence and bad behaviors. Know yourself, stay focused on why you’re in atl ( e.g. build a career or business). Save your money! Don’t be loose. If female, don’t get pregnant before marriage. Associate only with morally upstanding people who have goals and principles. Don’t waste your money on tons of clothes and expensive cars for the purpose of impressing others.

The young blacks are the only ones complaining.
I do agree! I’m from Chicago, and I agree with everything you said. I think it’s because this is still the place to be for black people who want to work in the entertainment industry. Because so many movies are made here, and tv shows that have mostly black casts, people come to try to make their dreams come true. But, any area where people are hustling to make their dreams happen, you have those sharks, superficials, fronters, con artists, etc.. That’s everywhere, even in Chicago! As soon as somebody finds out you have a dream, it’s on! That’s why, no matter where you are, you have to guard your heart! You can’t tell everything to everybody! And the fakery…whew, chile! It’s REAL out here! So, I’ve been here since 2018. I’ve done warehouse work! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say, “I don’t have to do this! I’m only doing it cuz I like money!” But, yet, they’re bringing their behinds to work, everyday! 😂😂😂 Can we say, “…a hawt mess!” 😂😂😂
Atlanta native here! I felt the same way about ATL when I left for college in 2013. I moved back post-pandemic and was pleasantly surprised by my experience as an adult. I’ve met some really good people on my job and at church. I live in the North Atlanta area. The people you surround yourself with will make or break your experience in a place. I think you have to be strategic about how you move here. I lay low, take my time making friends, and do my research before I patronize a place. The customer service does suck so I read reviews before I go somewhere. I’m also selective about the events I go to because I know what kind of vibe it’s gonna give based on the flyer and location. That comes with experience though. And for the dark cloud comments, every major city has spiritual principalities. I will say Atlanta has gotten darker over the years but that’s reflective of the times we’re living in. Also the growth of the movie industry here and their Hollyweird vibes doesn’t help. I limit my participation in the night life here for that reason because things get weird at night. I think you gotta know what your dealing with in the city your living in and move accordingly. Atlanta ain’t for everyone. Stay prayed up and pray for discernment because it gives wild Wild West out here 😂
Moved here 12 years ago with a job promotion. She is spot on. There is a reality TV mentality here - fake, phony, trying to one up the next person. The traffic is a nightmare, 7 days a week. There's no way around it. I've met people who were born and raised here who have told me how Atlanta used to be and how much it has changed in the last 20 years or so. I wish I could have experienced it.
My nephew moved to Atlanta in mid 90’s for education; landed a job and has made a suburb of ATL home; his down south hometown is two and half hour drive, but visits are few, that nightmarish road traffic, a real challenge .. I tell him jokingly “it’s hard to get outta of Atlanta, isn’t it?” 🙃😱
Born in ATL and visit on a frequent basis. Once your inside the perimeter everything is a money grab. I enjoy visiting the strip clubs but do that during the day only. The night brings out the Dope Boys, Gangsters, money throwers, shootings, and about every form of crime you can think of. Buckhead has now become Buckhood. Car theft is rampant anywhere in the city if your driving one of the models popularized in Rap Culture. There are very few redeeming features downtown - sky high housing to mix in with all the street people and criminals. Get 40 minutes outside of the city and you can dodge some of the traffic and find some decent places to live without having your head on a swivel. Visit the city only for a specific event or purpose - otherwise stay out of the city. If you get an hour outside of the city you will have exited the Bling and Rap culture and will experience a different world. Georgia as a state is a nice place with lots of southern charm. Get as far away as you can from the Housewives of Atlanta BS and you will find just regular folks with good weather and different activities to pursue.
I find it extremely disingenuous when people who are not even from Atlanta or the South, for that matter, all managed to run down here to do nothing but party and muck up the city. Turn the place into what it is, and then do nothing but complain about the mess they've all had a hand in making. The majority of the people in Atlanta are not from there, so they brought their crimes, stds, mentalities, and driving skills with them. That's what I learned through living in the A. A lot are complaining about the problems they created. And people are still relocating from the North for cheaper living and bringing all their mess with them and dumping it right off in Georgia, Texas, Alabama, and other places in the South flooding out our cities and driving up all our costs, and then complaining about it. Outsiders have done nothing but try to exploit Atlanta's social scene, and invade the city to throw much cheaper parties and events than they would be able to in a Los Angeles or New York, and now it's coming back to bite because Atlanta is getting theirs, too. Oh well...
Colorado is getting all the people from GA, TX, CA because they are looking for somewhere new and it’s the same mess being brought here!! This world needs a redo 😭😭😭
"I am originally from the Northeast and have had friends who moved to Atlanta with their children. They all loved the countryside and the people. I never heard any negative comments about Atlanta from anyone who migrated from the Northeast. All I heard was, "When are you coming down?" However, I do agree that a lot of people relocate to Atlanta for what they see happening in the city, the idea that it's the next party town. I visited Atlanta and loved it. Although I'm not a party person, I enjoyed interacting with those who lived in the area. I thought the people were great and showed what Southern hospitality was all about. However, I just visited, so my experience was limited. I understand that those who were born and raised in Atlanta may be disturbed by hearing such things, as they take pride in their city and state. However, from my experience living in big and small cities, I know that any type of migration will make a shift in any community, which is what you are seeing in Atlanta. Overcrowding in one location will always bring some form of crime."
Exactly…everybody complaining about Atlanta are complaining about the people that are not from here. They brought all this mess with them. They can all leave and go back…would be much better!
PLZ thanks for saying that because I'm 53 years old and we use to tell all New York and especially California people you don't like it leave we didn't invite you.
@@quentinwillis7695 I totally agree. I am the same age as you, and though I wasn't born in Atlanta, we moved here in the late 70s when I was in elementary school. I have the fondest memories of growing up in College Park in the 80s, but the huge influx of people over the years has completely changed the character of the city. I view the 1996 Olympics as the line of demarcation between old Atlanta and new.
Everything you are saying is TRUE!!! Let’s add the crime rate has increased. Also, if you’re a single straight woman looking to seriously date a straight man….ATL is NOT the place. I’ve been here since 2005 from the North. I’m ready and will be moving from ATL in 2024. There are definitely some benefits too. You gotta do what’s best for you & your family. 💛
I been in the Atlanta area since 2013. It has been a blessing to me since I got here. Definitely with the wide range of Job opportunities in my field of Construction/ Engineering. I don’t get what a lot of y’all are saying about a bad vibe and negative feeling. Maybe if you was here you need to adventure out in other areas of the metro not just Atlanta. It’s 1000 of places in the metro and I have been around in the hard of Atlanta and the metro area. I don’t club, I don’t party but it’s still a lot of things to do besides those things. Don’t let anyone tell you where to move and not to move. If God blessed you to move somewhere even if it’s Atlanta then do it. Don’t listen to anyone. We as blacks are the only one who always feels and think of a negative vibe or etc. It’s negative energy every where on this earth. It don’t matter where you move to or live. You just have to keep your positive attitude and try to associate yourself around people who are positive like you. Most of the people that move here seem like they only move because of what they heard, saw , or thought. Instead of letting God guide you. Smh.
Exactly. I've lived in several major cities and what she says can apply to anyone of them. No matter where you go, if you talk to enough people, they are going to have something negative to say about their town. This is just the experience you will have in any big city. This is especially true of places where you have a lot of people angling to get into entertainment. I have lived here 20 years and it has been nothing but home. I've been able to build a good career here. I get to see a lot of black people doing good for themselves. My wife and I don't hang out with the money crowd; we tend to be around easygoing people like ourselves. We do shows, restaurants, and so on without breaking the bank. I guess it all depends on where you are at and what you're trying to do.
I love to visit from NC, other than that, not planning to move there; but I love to visit for a few days. been visiting since 1998 for the BB Hairshows, football games vs panthers, college football, basketball, Celebration Bowl, historic sites & weekend visits. I'm in my own lane and looking for nothing but going places I like to visit & eat💯💕
The only reason I’m staying overnight in April is because I have a flight to catch the next day otherwise I wouldn’t be staying overnight. If it was the 80’s I would visit in a heartbeat but not now . This will be my first time staying overnight 😮
Good, glad to hear that, shawty! Hopefully, soon Atlanta can get back to having that more friendlier southern vibe though I experience that now from meeting true "real ATLiens" that are actually born and raised here!!
@@brandonpotter1086Such a weird, bad mind, petty response Lol 😂 Do you have exclusive say on who can visit or live in your city?! 🤔👀😐 Most people who ARE PROUD of their city actually, WANT people to VISIT etc. Because, tourism is GOOD for ANY city’s economy. But, I digress CONTINUE being an Ambassador for WHY people should NEVER come to the ATL! 🗣️💯🆘
@@NikkiaSings I am from the Garden City, so not sure why you are assuming that I am from Atlanta! So many people that are from Atlanta or call themselves "ATLiens" agree with everything that I stated! Doesn't have anything to do about being petty when it is so true what I said in my previous post! I will agree though that the southern vibe was extremely vibrant in Atlanta back in the 90s, though not sure in the 80s! I sure miss the 90s when the southern vibe was felt more from people that were from Atlanta, not the "transplants"! Tourism is fine as long as the people that visit a particular city aren't rude and bring that "Up North" arrogance to the south! Midwest folks and folks from NY are the absolute worse doing that!!
I lived in Atlanta for 7 years and everything that this young lady said was true. I didn’t to much care about the traffic and cost of living. But the actual phony superficial people was astounding.. i don’t wear weave.. no fake eye lashes.. little to know make up. And all original body parts god blessed me with. And a husband. Those people hated on us every chance they got. Im educated.. couldn’t find a job. Every black woman I encountered on my interview apparently saw me as a threat. And my husband of over 20 years. Mind you that was in 2015. Long story short im 53 years young living in Miami.. great career .. and I recently started my own jewelry Buissnes. And the weather is beautiful year round. I don’t miss Atlanta at all. Never to return. 😉👑🏦
I moved here in February 2022 to be with my boyfriend and that was a huge mistake. I definitely can't wait to move out of Georgia. The energy is way too low, traffic is something from a evil world, people are just like you described.
Its definitely low-vibrational. I remember one time driving back into the city and seeing/feeling that dark cloud over the entire city. It’s wild that you made that same hand gesture and said the same thing!
Because there are lots of portals and gateways to other realms and aren’t those Georgia Guidestones there??? I think they were destroyed a couple years ago… someone blew them up idk!!! It’s too much going on… I’ll do Texas or Mississippi (I’ve lived in both and that’s it)
Miss Lady you are spot on about that energy comment. My sister moved to Atlanta from Connecticut. I don’t visit often but in September and for Christmas I was down there. During a conversation with my family at Christmas, I said that exact same thing. I don’t like it there because of the fact that I can feel the bad energy from so many people.
I moved from NYC (Queens) to Georgia in 2019, taxes and the cost of living definitely went up. Gwinnett County has changed since 2019. I didn’t move to G.A to party, and turn up, I did that in my teens, and early twenties. Definitely a lot of opportunities to start a business. Pressure Washing business, Realtor business, food truck business.
That's the problem with these crybabies hating on Atlanta. They come here to party expecting to be met with open arms and end up getting scammed and their cars broken into and then start bitching about the bad choices they made. It's not Atlanta it's them.
I agree. I been here since 2003 and haven’t found a friend yet. Most of the women I’ve met is so fake and envious. They wanna compete for everything. It’s crazy.
ENVIOUS, ENVIOUS, ENVIOUS like I have never experienced before. It must be a spirit. A scarcity mindset. I couldn't stay there. It was awful and I am glad to be back on the West Coast.
Atlanta is no different than any city. When your money is right, education, goals and right friends are in order you will be ok. If you are complaining about spending $50 every time you trying to live a lifestyle that you can't afford. Adjust your lifestyle, friends and goals
I absolutely hate the traffic here and I have been here a long time. But my brother was like Houston traffic has gotten bad too. I also have learned back roads. But yes all major cities are like this. I really want people to know there are other nice places in Ga to visit. I’m not a clubber. Even when I went to the club it was never really my scene but fun with friends. For those who do these videos please understand their are genuine people here. We all have met people who suck. That’s life.
I lived in Stone Mountain for 2 years and hated it. Jobs were far and few in between, the black police in Dekalb co. were worst than the white ones. I got a boot on my car at Magic City. Everybody was snorting powder, I hated that everybody called me "Cali" and said I talked proper. The one thing I did love was the women out there was fine in all shapes and sizes, fine ass black girls walking barefoot outside with feet still clean. I hated those vines that grow all over the damn place, you could drop a body in those things and it would disappear by morning. The mosquitoes was tearing my ass up. I was confused why they call "Rally's "Checkers, still mad that was the only place I could get gravy on a burger. Finally got a job at Emory hospital for barely a living wage. So glad I bounced and went to Fargo N. Dakota for a while and back home to Cali. Would not move back to Georgia if you paid me. And its been about 10 yrs since I left.
Say it again my California friend. I felt like I was doing time. Lol. HARD TIME at that. I stayed for three and a half years and I reclaimed my native home. I get it. You have to have traveled and have lived different places to truly understand the dynamics and the experience. I lived in several states and Atlanta Georgia was by far THE WORST.
Bruh, you just had a bad experience. I was born, raised and has lived here all my life and there are places that would leave a negative impression on transplants. I lived in Stone Mountain 15 years before moving across town and Stone Mountain is considered a nice blue collar area. I don’t know which area you lived in but there the homes where I lived that are sold are selling starting in the $450s for over 4,000 sq ft. homes. Atlanta is so sprawling that your job might be an hr away. And Dekalb Co cops were better than Atlanta cops when I lived in Stone Mountain. In the black communities they’re all about the same. Just telling it like it is. People need to do their homework before moving here because I personally hear transplants say Atlanta is not what they thought it was. This is the Deep South. It wasn’t the native Atlantans claiming Atlantan as being the “black walk street” or “black Hollywood”. Atlanta used to be a nice place to live with nice housing for a decent price, less crowed, more laid back etc. Now it’s like all hell has broke loose and after living here all my life I now hate living here.
I'm a native atlantan, some problems: Too many ppl have come here from literally all around the world many brought their bad spirits w/them, horrible driving habits(demonized even)/attitudes/mentalities just bad stuff, yes it has changed this place; those are the ppl you're speaking of. My fam & folks I've known forever are the ones I deal w/we still know southern hospitality, we just don't waste it on bad ppl & there are many here.
I hear you! Want to affirm your feeling the energy of ATL. I first went to Atlanta back in 1993. I've never liked it. It feels like exactly what you said. It's like a cloud or a darkness. Never liked ATL.
I'm retired and lived in ATL all of my life and never see this dark cloud you losers be talking about. And I've been all over the US and the world and I enjoy every place I go.
You are so spot on young sister. Husband and I moved to Atl on a job transfer, after visiting several times. We lived on outskirts. Everything is so far away too. Hard to meet and make friends, people do not let you in. It is also very clique-ish, even in church! You are So right about the driving, traffic and the crashes. I really don't know how we stayed there that long. Finally, moved back home, after 10 years of suffering! Continued blessings to you, and stay well!
Born and raised just north of Atlanta, and moved to Atlanta right before the pandemic, and it's... not a great city. GA in general (when you go north of 285, it gets very white, very fast) too. I moved to Philly earlier this year and it's a completely different atmosphere. I've been back to Atlanta twice since then and there is a cloud over this city. There are some fun places in Atlanta (my favorite bar is still there) but everything you said is true. Some of my friends who had been in Atlanta proper for a good while were always lamenting that a really cool restaurant, space, club, etc was closing down and they were replacing it with a 5 over 1 and generic restaurants. Atlanta and Georgia still hold a special place in my heart, but I am never moving back there.
I’m moving from Philly to Atlanta later this year so this is such an interesting take! Personally, Philly isn’t my vibe and I’m hoping ATL is but yall got me nervous about meeting people 🫣
@@samgedeon8673 No shit? lol I would take my view of Atlanta (and GA) with a grain of salt since I’ve been in GA for almost 30 year before moving to Philly, so some “grass is greener on the other side of the fence” applies. Have you spent any time in Atlanta? Because I definitely would make sure to spend some time there before you move. I think the drivers are a bit worse in Philly than Atlanta but you just have to drive everywhere in Atlanta unless you live in one very specific spot in downtown. But there is a lot to do (Dragon Con, music festivals, and the like), and when you find your people it really is a fun city. Two pieces of advice 1. whatever you do, - DO NOT GO INTO LAKE LANIER - that lake is haunted 2. If you want to blend in easier you pronounce Atlanta like “Atlana” drop the second ‘T’, you can tell the real old timer Atlanta folk if they drop both ‘T’s (but I would stick to just one T)
@@samgedeon8673Stay in Philly, move to a nice neighborhood in Philadelphia and you'll be better off. Philadelphia is a much larger city than Atlanta and has plenty of opportunities right there.
Don't listen to that bs about lake Lanier. The people who talk that haunted sht have never been there. It's a man made lake that's not for swimming. Just boating and the people who drown there are young Latino and white boys who get drunk and jump into the water and get tangled up in the bushes and vines that are in the water. There are tons of upper class communities surrounding that huge lake and it's mostly rich people who live there.
@samgedeon I hope my post finds you, but if you are still interested in moving to Atlanta, make sure you develop some friendships with folks that are born and raised from Atlanta! I could state to use me, but I'm from the Garden City here in Georgia, shawty! I think you will like Atlanta though as long as you surround yourself with folks that are "true ATLiens"! Hmmm, speaking of Atlanta, I need drive on over there to see whats up with the Zone 4 crew!!
I lived there in 2006, it was so nice and peaceful. I could leave my doors unlocked in my car and no one would enter...but now🙅🏽♀️ The only thing I like about Atlanta is the farmer's market. Love what they carry in products.
I've been to ATL in May/June 2023 as a tourist from the Czech republic and it was a wonderful time. I lived in Downtown in Peachtree tower, so close to CNN Center, Centennial park, Coke, the Garden and more... I visited also Old Fourth Ward and Lotta Frutta. I love Atlanta, everywhere is clean, people so kind, I was surprised. I must return this year again :-)
I love watching these "ATL BEWARE" vids. I will never leave Texas, and and am so glad I don't deal with what you all deal with there. Keep that energy right there, and enjoy.
You couldn't pay me to move to ATL. I go to Cali once a year and going to the airport is terrible for me. Hartsfield-Jackson is the rudest airport to go to.
Atlanta has always been crowded…Since the great Black migration in the 90’s. Everybody was trying to move to Atlanta back then. The culture was different!
No, Atlanta has not always been this crowded. The population increase excelled in 2014 and got crazy during the pandemic. I’ve live here all my life and have never seen this much congestion in this city. I hate it with a passion. Atlanta’s streets, highways, public transportation system,….etc can’t handle the flux of population growth that happening here and all of these complaints towards Atlanta are results of the growth. This is no longer the friendly, desirable, low housing cost place to live anymore. Thank god I bought my house before the house market sky rocketed here. I don’t see how transplants can afford the house market prices. Rent is high and I’m seeing homes starting at $500k and up in nice new subdivisions. What makes it so bad is that these homes they’re building for $500k would’ve cost in the $300’s back in 2014. Yet people are moving to Atlanta and paying outrageous prices for homes.
Traffic is crazy in every large city. I love the weather here in Georgia. You pay for parking in any big city. I love the parks in Atlanta. I have a wonderful group of friends here in Atlanta. I love all free concerts in Summer. The music scene is great.
Super helpful! Thank you so so much for confirming what we were feeling. You’ve helped us not make a huge life change and mistake by moving there. Appreciate you so much! 💖✨🙌
You know what ! Every single thing you said about Atlanta is right . I am originally from Ghana west Africa I made Atlanta my home last 15 yrs after I came to the USA . I love Atlanta for the fact that , it is Black Community. I live 3 mins from downtown right at University Ave by Amphitheater . I love Atlanta . It is my home . No police brutality . Police will handle situations so calm without hating anyone .
This video is one person's experience. I have lived in a number of cities in the U. S. Atlanta being one of them (for over 20 years). Everyplace has changed over the past 30+ years. There's good and bad, negative and positive everywhere. BEFORE YOU MOVE ANYWHERE first, make sure you have enough money and sufficient means of income to choose the area you live in and suits your taste. Also, visit before you move. Personally, there were things that I loved, disliked, and hated about ATL. However, that goes for everyplace I've lived, including my home in the Bay Area. People have to make their own story. ALSO, you will find pretentious and unpretentious people everywhere. Get in where you fit in.
I visited ATL a few years ago to perform my music at a car show and afterwards went to a restaurant and seen a club the night before and everyone seems to have a good time but there were what seemed to be pretty women every where I looked but they weren't with men. The men and women weren't largely coupled they were all separate in groups mostly and that was weird to see!!
I have a lot of experience and history in Atlanta, and your point about materialism and money is spot on. In my lifetime, Atlanta has ALWAYS been very status conscious. Whether it's clothes, cars, or houses, Atlantans are always trying to one-up each other. Very corporate, individualistic city, where everyone is out for themselves.
I been down here since 2001 moved from NY...and it has def changed. The values ...the fake Hollywood shit the materialism be too much lol and the kicker is they really are broke. The professional side 💯💯💯❗️ but choose your circle wisely. It matters.
I'm from St. Louis and moved to Atlanta in 2021. Atlanta isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Trust, there's more opportunities in ATL than in STL. The people in ATL also have more of a go getter mentality. There's lots of scamming in ATL but that in every major city🤷♂️
@4:28. You hit the nail on the head when you said its the people and places you surround yourself with that will determine how you view Atlanta. Stay out the clubs, focus on your career, hang around people who value what you value and you’ll be fine
Tips* live close to your job or transit to avoid traffic. Don't go to popular spots on the weekend. Go during the week. The circle you move in really shapes your experience. Atlanta ain't bad if you know where to go. The bad drivers are transplants.
Stay focused on Christ in Atlanta!! Keep things simple and uncomplicated!!! Ain't nothing new under the Son!!!! God's been around for a long, long, long, time!!! Stay focused!!! All that glimmers, ain't gold!!!; Consult God first, nin all your decisions, even if it takes 30 days!!! Get a clear answer frm the Lord, before making any moves!!!; Major moves, at that !!!
You aint never lied.. i was a truck driver ( from chicago). I use to make deliveries once a week to ATL and it was an accident EVERY time i came down there- never failed! Ive noticed that the lanes are waay narrower there than other places.. and i think thats why its soo many accidents there.. something that people arent paying attention to.
Many years ago, Atlanta was not as you are expressing. This started when lots of people moving from different states and because of that , Atlanta isn’t the same. and changed tremendously! What you have experienced, is not the southern hospitality that I know. But I want to thank you for sharing your experience!
I moved from Atlanta 2 years ago to Phoenix and I just can’t get with the culture here. I see why people don’t like Atlanta because I grew up there. But I can’t see why folks love az
Several years ago, I had considered a job offier in Atlanta. I agree that the traffic was horrible. Alpharetta seemed nice, but I decided to stay put. I also found some of the people were pretentious, but a few others were nice. I suppose you can find those problems in any city.
I planned to move to ATL 10 years ago and was working to move there from Vegas. I got overwhelmed trying to find a place and area I wanted to be in and I never even visited there before and knew NOTHING about Atl. I moved to Columbia, SC instead while my sisters and mom moved to Atl. I’m sooooo glad I did! It seems really similar to what I was trying to get away from in Vegas. I hated Vegas! Felt like a black cloud over it and it was just horrible dealing with all the fakeness from the trees, to personalities, to bodies!!!! It’s lowkey and people have much more morals and respect for others. I go to visit Atl when I want to see family then come my tail home!
Columbia would get just like Atlanta if everybody started bull rushing there too. Atlanta was much better before all the population boom started blowing up. Now it’s an entirely different and cold city. I’m a native Atlantan and miss the way it used to be here.
I had an opportunity to move there, Nashville, and Dallas but decided to come to DC of all places. Now that I think about it, I wish I had of moved somewhere closer to home(Huntsville) but then with all of the ppl , family and drama I was dealing with, this was a better move. What I like about DC is there is alot of money to be made if you want to make it. The ppl I meet are from other countries speaking different languages so they are here to work and send money home to their families. I also like the fact that you can blend in and be yourself without the pressure of feeling like you have to keep up with the Jones because a lot of ppl here live a simple life. If they have money, you wouldn’t know it. There is some mentality of fakeness from some of the ppl that were born and raised here, but 70% of the population are from other parts of the world so they understand the struggle is why they are here. This is a business/ gov place and a lot of ppl come here , get money, reach their goal and leave. It’s so many busy with many ppl you don’t see the same ppl everyday unless you run into the homeless. I’ve been here almost three years and love it❤❤❤❤. I just miss seeing my family back home, not been able to visit them a lot.
Listen.. everything you said can be experienced in any major urban city. Have you ever been to DC? Or NYC or NJ in New Jersey you have to register your car if you're visiting so your car won't get towed..in NY the parking is about 80.00 for the first hr. Now in ATL true the valet parking costs are crazy, but typically I find it very high for black restaurants in others you pay what ever you can, not a fixed price of 20.00 in some cases 😢
Queen I feel you two of my daughters moved outside of Atlanta one of my daughters is in the work force and doesn’t mind the traffic but my youngest daughter is a stay at home wife and she stays close in her community and she doesn’t have to get out into the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. My husband and I are retired and will relocate to Atlanta in one year to be closer to our daughters and grandchildren so we to will be out of the hustle of Atlanta and we are pretty much home bodies anyway. We to are from Indiana and with the level of crime here I am ready for a change but I can see how for a young lady that is a professional and in the workforce I can see how it could be overwhelming and we have noticed that the housing market is more expensive than Indiana but we have a home to sell and will be downsizing because we are empty nesters You keep up with your grind and find the atmosphere that matches your spirit and most of all be safe
You are soooooo right I thought that it was just me it's good to know someone else feels this way and I don't think it's that great to live there....thanks
Wow! I couldn’t put my finger on it but this is spot on! The energy is waaaay off. It’s very hard to describe. The people I’ve been able to connect with and enjoy are usually transplants.
If i have to spend $50 every time I left my house I would be mad all the time too! this makes it hard to make genuine friendships 😢Atlanta government and business policies make it hard for everyone and creates a “get money anyway you can” mentality because they are constantly gouging money from everyone else.
The young lady in this video is talking about partying and dining downtown and in Buckhead, but Atlanta is about the same as everywhere else outside of that. Physically, Atlanta is huge, so there is a lot to do here outside the city. I don't go downtown unless I absolutely have to.
I don't think that everything she's going through is exclusive to Atlanta. If you're young and single, the city may not be right for you-until you find your tribe. Me and my husband moved here over 10 years ago. We live in Kennesaw but are in Atlanta all the time in absolutely love it!
Yes I’m from the Midwest and I live in riverdale bad traffic i hardly go to Atlanta area bc I this.. I know ppl who were 1,000 dollar outfit but don’t have transportation.. have to book in advance to even eat here so annoying in club scene is over priced .. ppl here is superficial and I haven’t made a decent friend since I moved here.. I would not recommend moving here ..
@9:34 You never lied about the energy in Atlanta. I always get that kind of energy "if you like drama, this city is perfect for you" kinda feel. Facts But i really like going to Chicago's Pizza in Smyrna. It's always good vibes there.
Nice video. I’m starting to find the clout chasing, low vibrational, fake energy everywhere, but of course it’s more pronounced in entertainment/party/celebrity cities like ATL, LA, Miami, NYC. It’s reflected in how so many people are friendless, lonely, not dating and statistics show this. I also think it’s a lot more common in party scenes as you said. 9/10 you won’t find genuine people in those spaces, it’s very rare.
10:26 There's definitely an aura of despair over this place. I don't leave too often but whenever I did vacation to different areas of the South and come back to Georgia, there's always a feeling of dread as soon as I'm approaching the exit on the interstate. It's good to know there's others out there and I'm not crazy..
I used to feel it to when I lived there. It used to feel like I was suffocating and couldn't breathe. I would get on I-20 and drive to Alabama and the energy lightened up...
I couldn't deal.
facts!!!!i am born and raised in san francisco and i have now lived in georgia for 15 years and you are absolutely correct!!!!!!! Can not wait to finally move when both of my teens graduate from high school.
Examples if you don’t mind? I don’t live in ATL but I was employed at an agency where there were more blacks, I was so excited to work around my people but they were the worst in addition to covert racism etc…
@@JadeW1111 Crime, for the most part. Constantly having my car windows smashed. Living in a gated, "luxury" apartment but dealing with repeated break-ins. I worked at a prominent HBCU but couldn't deal with the rampant narcissism in the work environment. I wanted to love it 😂

The majority of the people she's speaking about moved here from another state.
Yeap!
Atlanta has become very superficial because of so many superficial people moving here; it’s self explanatory.
ATLANTA IS NOT THE MECCA ANY MORE. YOUR SPOT ON YOUNG SISTER, BE SAFE AND BE BLESS 🙌 🙏.

It can be difficult but there are some great people here, just stay true to yourself and don't be discouraged!!

ITS ALL ABOUT STATUS IN ATLANTA.😮
"Rejection is God's Protection"..facts!
Yes you are!
Ijs🤷🏿♂️
Materialistic people, fakers and scammers. Usually transplants from NY, LA, Florida, among other places
Standoffishness, hustle-till-I-die, don't-waste my time mentality...
Collectively they often create the problems they complain about.🤷🏿♂️
Typed a whole bunch of nothing. Stop blaming everything on out of towners. They’re the ones that built this mf up.
Thank you!! All facts 💯
A lot of witchcraft there too 🤦🏽♀️
The dark cloud you're referring to is over your head only because it's in your head. It's not Atlanta. It's you.
😂😂😂 the Witchcraft took me off 😹
Yes indeed! I moved to GA not far from Marietta last year. I will be moving back home to NY in September. I don't like the energy here and people are haters.
They pretend like they're so thou holy anybody with a sense of humor can catch on to their BS....
This is so sweet, Thank you so much💖
Focus on yourself and stay out of the clubs and the ridiculously overpriced restaurants and you'll be ok. And ignore anyone with negative vibes because everyone is not your friend.
Awwwe i needed to read that message. Im not from ATL tho lol 😅😅 but ur message was beautiful.
This is an incredible message. It is encouraging and filled with wisdom. Kudos to you for taking the time to send light her way. She deserves it.

Nopeeee. Learn UCC Law , Learn International Law, commercial law and you will be alright.
Low vibrations mean lots of negative energy. Didn't know so many folks felt this way!
Girl! I’m from California and have been in Georgia for 2 years now. I say I’m “California Black, not Atlanta Black” because the lack of comradery amongst us is so real. This wasn’t the move, and when my nephew gets older, I’ll be moving.

But the thing is… now this same thing is happening in Houston!!!! 😂😂
...ATL is ALL HYPE, jus CRAP..being a 305 Miami Native..it can't compare 👎🏽👎🏽 @laryanryan9170
So how u lasted 20 yrs? Had to be some kind of pro about it cause im not staying nowhere that long with that many issues !
As a person who was born and raised in Georgia I can definitely say this video is on point!
Damn! I tried to live in Atlanta 15 years ago. What you said is so true! I met rappers, models, actors, producers, etc. everywhere I would go.

Most of the perpetrators moved here during this population growth. The locals in Atlanta are not the problem.
The lack of attention to detail is very apparent and no sense of time or urgency was also another thing that I couldn't understand.

The mentality?

The reason why ATL went down the toilet?
Social Media
The Atlanta housewives "lifestyle" mentality
The myth of "Atlanta is a rich black city!!" (Atlanta has a VERY large rich and poor gap)
The get rich mentality
The old school values withering away (1996 to 2006 was the best era for ATL....)
Single parent home epidemic (This is single handedly the MAIN reason for real because a Dad in the home can make or break a child's mentality and outlook on life.)
The absolute obsession with SOCIAL CLASS here.
Atlanta is no place for a BW it's not safe. #BWDIVEST
#BLACKFEMICIDE
The city become crappy after the 1996 Olympics.

You said it perfectly!
Same here. I've been here since February 2022 and will be leaving this year as well ❤
I been in the Atlanta area since 2013.
Best comment ever🙄

I will agree though that the southern vibe was extremely vibrant in Atlanta back in the 90s, though not sure in the 80s! I sure miss the 90s when the southern vibe was felt more from people that were from Atlanta, not the "transplants"!

Nahhhh, every city ain't the same and Atlanta has a whole different mentality. Just like the gay population. But go off though, homie!
Wow 😮
Wow! Moved to Fargo? You must have been desperate to leave ATL.
Welcome back to Cali, im in Northern Cali and love it
Bruh, you just had a bad experience.
It’s not a cloud it’s spiritual principalities! And you feel it!

Hard to meet and make friends, people do not let you in. It is also very clique-ish, even in church! You are So right about the driving, traffic and the crashes.
Two pieces of advice
1. whatever you do, - DO NOT GO INTO LAKE LANIER - that lake is haunted
This is so general and could be applied to any city in America. If you took public transportation you could avoid the traffic and parking fees.
Born and raised here, and I am ready to move, Atlanta has changed dramatically...

I liked Las Vegas. I used to live there too. But, Atlanta it's a HARD NO for me. It was a nightmare.
Would like to move to DC , though. Any tips?

Listen.. everything you said can be experienced in any major urban city.
That’s the truth about paying everywhere. Also everyone wants a tip; even in family dollar stores!!!😅

We to are from Indiana and with the level of crime here I am ready for a change but I can see how for a young lady that is a professional and in the workforce I can see how it could be overwhelming and we have noticed that the housing market is more expensive than Indiana but we have a home to sell and will be downsizing because we are empty nesters
You keep up with your grind and find the atmosphere that matches your spirit and most of all be safe
You are soooooo right I thought that it was just me it's good to know someone else feels this way and I don't think it's that great to live there....thanks
VERY TRUE!!!
This is so sad 😞
@9:34 You never lied about the energy in Atlanta. I always get that kind of energy "if you like drama, this city is perfect for you" kinda feel. Facts
But i really like going to Chicago's Pizza in Smyrna.
