I just did mine ! Definitely not a professional but they’re better than what they looked all grown out lol. The pollish is super strong smelling though.
my mom will not let me get acrylics, but next weekend is my friends birthday so she decided to let me get some with them. She told me it was going to be the only time, because she doesn’t want to be paying $70 every two weeks. She told me that if I want long nails I would have to learn how to do them on my own. So this is very helpful, thanks a lot!
I have used this kit and the system lasts longer than the kits I bought at Sally. I have had my nails for about 2 weeks and they still look spectacular!
Firefly yes base coat, but i also like to always keep a structure gel on them or a few layers of clear dip powder to make them extra strong since i have pretty weak nails :)
I am tired of going to the nail salon and paying big bucks when I can do it at home for only 12dollars. And it seems pretty easy and looks so pretty. And secure. Getting me a kit. Thank you

I feel so selfish especially during these times Idk if i even can get them dome tbh. so before covid i only got them for special occasions this will legit be like a present that just keeps on giving lol.
I have this kit. I don’t need the tips but I’m going to use the dip powder sometime today. I’m nervous! I miss getting my nails done!!!! Edit! It’s done and for my first time I think it looks pretty good!!
Excellent tutorial. Wonderful sequencing, smooth video, calming voice, Couldn't be better. Now, I think, with a little practice I can do this too. Thank you.
Late to the party! But I just bought this kit because I have very very long nature nails and just broke off my thumb on one hand and pinky on the other so I wanted something to replace them until they grow back. Question: if you wanted to could you paint normal nail polish over it after you are done with the dip?? Wondering because I have my favorite Ella+Mila nail polishes and I’d love to be able to do that!
yes you can totally apply regular polish over dip! i would either recommend buffing the surface of the dip powder super smooth before polish application, or applying a gel top coat on top of the dip before polish application. both methods should work great!
Also helps if you point your finger downwards while applying. So the gel/polish speads down the nail, instead of seaping onto the cuticle if that makes sense. Just something that has helped me
You explain everything so perfectly! And thank you for the info about the makeup brush, I was struggling getting the powder to dust away with the provided sponge. Wonderful video, your nails look so good!
the best thing i would recommend doing is keeping them protected with product! this is how i’m able to grow them out strong. also apply cuticle oil daily!
Excellent video. Ty for the info. I really like how they came out. I normally do my dip nails on my natural nails but I had to cut them back drastically. I have had good success with leaving the top/base coat off and just using my favorite top coat of regular nail polish. For anyone who was wondering.
I’ve been keeping up with my nails during quarantine, it’s been very therapeutic. I wanna learn the dip method because my regular nail polish only lasts about a week.
I take a cotton ball soak it in acetone and wrap it in foil. It took about 15 mins to get all the dip off from this kit. But there are a lot of videos on how to get them off. Oh, file the top layer off first.
Absolutely love Kiss products and for years now I have used the Kiss full nail glue ons.. Either the clear and apply polish or Pre painted. Mine last several weeks no matter what I'm doing with my hands they never pop off. I've learned the right amount of glue to apply and I prepare my nail bed like you do for acrylics.. So I get a good adhere with no bubbles. It's about $8.00 a box and I'm able to use the smaller sizes left over, on my toes! Apply same way and trim down to perfect length. I get compliments all the time on both. People are shocked when I tell them they are Glue ons! I get them at Walgreens or Walmart. They are strong and just as tough to remove as Acrylic or dip. I used to do my own acrylics but was so time consuming. These are perfect and take less than 30 Mins. You can apply a different color over them if you want a change before needing to remove them and you can also just let them grow out and use dip to fill in the growth like you would at a salon. I do my daughters nails that way also. Saves Money, Saves time and nice alternative. Makes it easy for treating yourself to something pretty without breaking your budget. I do not use any of the Press on one's with glue tabs those don't stick well. Only use Kiss glue also. I always have nice and very sturdy nails. 💅🏼 Beauty on a budget. 😉 Kiss products are excellent.
Love the silver holographic you have on your thumb - what is that? I'm assuming it isn't a dip nail. Do you have a tutorial for that? Enjoyed your tutorial for dip nails! Thank you.
Best tutorial on UA-cam. Thanks so much. I had issues with the powder being thick and blotchy when I used the color powder. Also when I try to wipe off excess I had issues with color coming off on the sponge. Any suggestions?
Ro Go thanks so much! when using the color, make sure to apply a nice even thin layer and that will help with the uneven spots. as far as the powder coming off on the sponge, i recommend making sure the nails are fully dry before wiping over them, and also possibly using a soft brush instead because it is less likely for the powder to get messed up if that makes sense. hope that helps! :)
It's not too hard. Used this kit yesterday. However, you have to let nail dry for like 15 seconds b4 you dust off powder or you will get ridges in your nails.
Yes. Its definitely something Special about kiss nail dip. But I'm really enjoying these nail tutorials. It makes a big difference and we can have pretty nails at l times. Thanks everyone.
So I guess I forgot to buff mine out after shaping. I reapplied the base coat as it said but they are dull and not shinny look really bad. Can I just put a clear coat of regular polish on it? To make it shinny?
@@katesnails thanks I went back and buffed out the nails and applied the first polish and it works good I am pleased for my first time thanks for the advice

Okay so I’ve done my nails three times with this kit. Every time I can’t seem to get my cuticle area as neat and they always end up bulky and on my skin. You are making me want to try again now lol
if that’s a struggle for you, i would recommend taking an orange wood stick or a small dotting tool and running it along the cuticle area after dipping to remove any on the skin and make a nice clean line.
Where do you get the lint-free wipes? I have this kit and while its turned out okay for my first try I like the extra steps you took with the wipes and using a make up brush to get the extra powder off.
Hi, i never done my nails n your tutorial look interesting to try :) and do you remove it just using acetone? just like removing nail polish? thankyou :)
yep you can remove with acetone! however you have to soak it off because it doesn’t remove quite as easy as regular polish. i have a removal video on my channel if you want to watch how i remove dip nails 😊
Hey Kate! I love your natural nails! I never bite my nails, they take forever to grow long. What do you do for your nails to grow? Do you use some sort of long nails polish?

I'm glad others like it. I tried many different ones by kiss, but I didn't care for them much. I like the 3 steps you need for dip power. Anyways how do you get your nails to grow and not break?

Kate SOS :( I tried this kit on one of my nails last night to test it out before I bite the bullet and take all my old dip off from my pre-quarantine manicure - I did 2 dips of pink base like you did, but when I did a coat of blue, it came out bumpy and clumpy. What am I doing wrong? Did I not let the pink base dry enough before I did the color?

Is there a specific way to take this off when you need a fill/color change? Can you explain that process? I’m so intrigued! I want to buy this for next time!!!

Is it just me or her voice is really soothing and aesthetically pleasing
EL MEJOR yes. My cat and my dog fell asleep to her voice. Lol
I was thinking the exact opposite. The way she chops the words apart is annoying to me.
annreeves77 I think it’s her inflections. The way she ends her sentences goes up. And she goes up at random points in her train of thoughts
It’s like every couple of words has a high tone to it. So annoying.
Y’all sdfu , did y’all come on here to be judgeful or for a tutorial please make me remember 🤔
I agree that they turned out great, especially considering the price point!! Question though.....how the hell do you get them off?
File the top layer and wrap your nails with an acetone nail polish remover for 10 minutes. Then scrape off the polish and repeat till done x
I clip the length off if they are long and soak them 15 min in soak off from walmart.
I'm starting to think I should invest in dip nails. I can't paint in the lines..maybe this will help?
definitely!
