As Levi said, "I've spent the last 30 years chasing that same feeling I got as a little kid". I think it's safe to say, we all chase that feeling of when we shot are first deer, and the memories that come along with it. Hopefully all of us hunters can experience that feeling and make more memories this year. Good luck to all you Hunters this year!
Levi is definitely living my dream. Congratulations on a true stud! My dad started taking me hunting before I could even walk. Spent many of hours in the woods with my dad as a youngster. My brother “much older than me” bought me my first compound when I was 10 years old, got me setup, dialed in and took me hunting and I was able to harvest my first buck that year. Needless to say that lit a fire inside me that still to this day is burning. There’s nothing I’d rather do than chase these magnificent creatures that roam the woods. Living in Indiana I’ve been blessed with harvesting some very nice bucks over the years with my archery equipment.

Absolutely love this.. as I’m lucky and blessed enough to live in the Midwest… I absolutely love watching Levi doing what Levi does. The rut is so special and so amazing. You get to see everything come to tuition… absolutely love that guy and everything that he does. This is what hunting is all about and this is what hunting needs to be.. Every time I harvest a deer (big or not) the overwhelming feeling of emotions, and the feeling of thankfulness surges. Levi hit the nail on the head, it’s a “blessing” to do what we do. “Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks.”

If you don’t get chills throughout watching this film and reminisce on times that you have felt the same way I don’t know what to tell you. From a “little kid” I have dreamed to make it this far as demonstrated in the film. I wouldn’t call it a grind as I love to do it but a blessing because of the work I’m willing to put towards this sport and any outcome will be greatly appreciated. As years pass I consider progress as my goal in terms of learning and success.

I am a late onset hunter who grew up on my dad's stories of hunting whitetail in the great state of PA. Our family never really lived in an area that provided regular hunting opportunity but we made do with occasional hunting adventures ranging from whitetail in PA to wild pigs in the Florida swamps. I loved the adventures and just the pursuit of chasing wild animals and trying to better them at the game that they have perfected. We finally moved to TN and in our first season i shot a spike with a bow and have been absolutely hooked ever since the moment i walked up on him laying not fifty yards from where i put an arrow through both lungs. I live for (as I'm sure we all do) the wild places hunting takes us, the adventures that happen in those places, and the anticipation of absolute monsters slipping up in their game to provide an opportunity that i can take advantage of. There’s something about growing up and obtaining that inner peace when you can be just as proud of yourself to pass on a pretty big buck as you were as a kid to fling an arrow at anything that came close enough. I think young Levi would be very proud, brother.
I personally love that one of the best shooters/hunters in the game started off like most of us did. Shooting spikes and forks. I still have mine on the wall. Good job on this one Levi and Leupold.

My dad was never a hunter, but my family has it in their Yooper DNA. Nothing better then sitting in nature and enjoying the wildlife, fresh air, and breeze through the trees. I’ve been hooked on whitetail for years now… my son just turned 2 and can’t wait to pass the bug onto him!

I'm new to hunting. This is my first year going out. I've been doing small game hunting. I don't think there's any squirrels in the country. They all moved to the city and became city squirrels. Great job on getting your deer.

I smoked a nice 8 point opening day of rifle, feels like the season ended before it started. Wish I had a bow for an earlier start and another buck tag! Levi is not only an amazing shooter, but one of the most stand up guys in the industry! So excited that Leupold picked up Levi and his team. Always enjoyed watching Bowlife and just hearing the story that Levi could tell. Also, from Michigan where we chase small bucks too! LOL
This is my 5th season bow hunting (vertical) and love it. I've been hunting for decades, gun and crossbow, but drawing back the bowstring and letting the arrow fly is much more exhilarating than looking thrown a rifle scope. Shows like this and the stories from hunters like Levi Morgan, makes this style of hunting worth the investment. *I've tagged my buck for early bow already!

Awesome video. I remember growing up too the same way grinding so hard with my Dad on public land thankful for any opportunity at any deer. Now having a medical condition from 2 Pituitary brain tumors where have a rare condition Cushing’s Disease with adrenal insufficiency along with Crohn’s Disease with many stomach surgeries I keep pushing forward always. Mr. Morgan, thank you for posting "The Rut". Truly enjoyed it! I primarily hunt Michigan and I’ve never seen a buck like the one you shot in the video. I have shot 4, 6, 8 pointers but noting like that. As you described in the video, I too get that feeling every single time I go out on a hunt. Been doing it now for more than 50 years. God Bless!
Incredible story. Incredible video. Incredible hunter. Being a die hard bow hunter, my father always taught me from a young age to respect the animal and the sport. It wasn’t until I killed my first deer after years of hunting youth season with him did I finally understand what he meant. Now that I’m almost 30, I’ve truly embraced the hunting lifestyle by managing a small piece of ground, whether that be putting in food plots, setting out cameras, passing younger deer during season, and so on. I look forward to the whole process! Levi is very humble, very successful, and a great hunter. Someone a young hunter strives to become. Thank you Levi for leading by example and I look forward to season how your 2023 season unravels!
I started my pursuit of whitetails in TX as I have since I was around 6 with a late uncle of mine. He passed away suddenly in 2004. Now to date I'm in my 50's I get to hunt once maybe twice a year. I work too much. But I still look forward to it each and every year, spite my growing orthopedic set backs. Great video and good story.

Great job Levi! I know how it feels being in the Carolinas and not being able to see huge deer very often. I’ve been hunting North Carolina and South Carolina with my dad my entire life. He bought me a SC lifetime license when I was 1 year old. I am now 23 and I still love hunting!
It definitely takes a lot of patience and willpower to let the decent bucks go so that they can hopefully be monsters one day. I though it was funny what you said because it was just yesterday that I let a spike and a four pointer go. Last week I let about 15 deer go in one day. I’m looking for the mature deer, and this logic has paid off for me and my dad several times!
Me and my dad are also big fans of Leupold optics! He has several older vx-3 scopes from before I was born that are still going strong! Now I love Leupold as well and put their optics on many of my rifles and pistols! Keep up the good work that you are doing for the hunting community Levi and remember to always have fun! God bless!
Awesome video, but just my 2 cents. As a viewer I like the longer form vids 30+ min personally. Having a 3 state hunt and only 7 min of footage to show for it seems underwhelming to me. Just a small critique. Grats on the buck!
Your videos are to heavily edited and the common man cannot connect to this. You’re wearing thousands of dollars in gear and shooting something worth thousands. Makes hunting feel further intangible. If you want to be the ambassador. Help the common man hunt. Lower the video editing and budget. Wear common gear. And shoot a range of bows. Often. Not just for content. Only a thought.
I can’t tell you how many Bill Jordan Monster Buck VHS tapes I watched growing up. Have always had the same dream to find those “monsters” that are so elusive. Love it!

Nice short film about passion for hunting! It’s a great experience every time I get to sit in a stand or blind surrounded by nature! Had to learn a lot of things on my own, didn't have much guidance or experience. Looking forward to hopefully placing my hands on my 2nd whitetail buck this year! Would love to know how far the shot was, where it hit, how long was the track, etc! I love deer hunting. Not sure why so many people call it a "grind". Isn't that just hunting? If I could choose my opportunities they would always be at the end of a hunt. And unfilled tags do sting but it helps if you think of a license as an opportunity to hunt an animal, not a ticket for a head on the wall. That's just a bonus if you're lucky!

Heard Levi on TheMeatEater. As new archery hunters my kids and I were thrilled to hear about the ASA. So impressive. In the end it’s all about putting the meat in the freezer. Each year striving for that more mature buck.

Where I’m from, what you called cane I believe we call buck brush and I don’t think we feel the same about it haha! 28 years old now hunting all my life and the only giants I’ve seen are when I’m predator hunting, I bet that hunt was exhilarating. Nice shot!

Awesome video! About 3 years ago I purchased my first bow and after two years of getting comfortable, last year I got in a friends stand and was hooked. Unsuccessful last year but hoping this year will be different and tagged out.

Started deer hunting regularly late in life, but thoroughly enjoy the time in the woods and hoping to one day take my dream buck home. Not being a real experienced hunter, I have yet to take an antlered buck. We are not fortunate to have leased property to hunt on, so we tough it out in the public lands that East Tennessee offer. The big ones are out there, but never where and when I am. I hunt with my brother and nephew, and though I did not get a deer last year, I enjoyed the thrill of each of them shooting deer and sharing in the experience. Enjoyed the film Levi. NICE buck! Congrats on the buck! Living out west, I applaud you for sitting in a tree stand for two + weeks straight. I couldn’t even imagine doing one whole day without ending up going crazy.
Solid production! Honestly could’ve been longer, that way we can see Levi eat snacks in the stand, just like “us” instead of just seeing him for the dead handed shooter he is. Oh well!

I love the direction that these marketing films are taking. Just like Mathews Proving ground films. Although, I wish they would show more of the logistics that go into achieving these types of results.

Haven't reached the point where I could pass up any legal buck. The thrill of hunting is in the joy it brings by just being out in God's creation, and getting up close and personal with the animals you encounter. The harvest of a game animal is just the frosting on an already delicious cake. I am 74, and still get that adrenaline rush, and the tasty meals.

Wondering whether younger you would’ve been mad if you passed on a deer like that makes me think of a few deer I’ve passed on, videoed and not been able to harvest the following year. Except the two biggest ones I’ve passed have been killed while I was in the stand filming. I was immediately thanked by my dad and cousin for passing that deer the previous year. Something like that is much better than self gratitude for passing on a nice caliber deer
Brilliantly done. I wouldn’t have passed on that first buck, but understand why. I’m sure all us hunters have arguments with our younger selves every time we have an animal we are pursuing walks within range.
I’m new to hunting public land and have always dreamed of hunting big bucks like this. Way to go Levi!! Can’t wait till I get to do this one day!
