That is such a great question, Stephanie and I wondered the exact same. The reason why I use the Krud Kutter is because it will remove any oil based greasy residue that sanding doesn’t always remove. If there is an oily residue and you go to sand it, it’s just going to gunk up your sanding pad and also the spray paint won’t stick as well. If you don’t think there is any oil based dirt or residue, go ahead and send before cleaning the piece.

Spray evenly and let the nozzle off at the end of each stroke. That way you don't get paint build up on the edges.

In paint pouring, they use a blow dryer on the bubbles. Would that work also?
