Gabriel, so all of those outdoor market stalls are actually being slowly closed down and moved into indoor market spots like the one in the video. Before all of the historic centre was just covered in illegal market stalls (they dont pay permits/taxes). The whole downtown is going thru a huge renovation project and the whole country as well.

Great tour! Have visited this palace too and the cathedral but missed the market. People are generally friendly but even more in the countryside.

The national Palace was one thing I wanted to visit but it was closed when I was there. Great that you made it.
The music and dancing was Plaza Libertad like you said. That's where I took an Uber every day from San Benito. The dancing was every day. There is one famous lady dancing that might invite you as a spectator to dance with her🙂Usually she focus on a spectator and dont give up easily even if that person don't want to dance. Really cool lady.
And all the women were laughing at him for walking😊 through there. Another great video.

You were very close to two nice churches, El Calvario (next to the Mercado Central) and El Rosario (Libertad). In Santa Ana Cathedral you can go up to the roof and see the city. I also recommend Suchitoto and Ataco. Very beautiful towns.
