In El Salvador we don't use "station" but "terminal". You should ask for "la terminal de buses". Station is ussually related to train. And bus stop is "parada de buses"
You are a brave man, taking the local buses in El Salvador. This brings back memories of me and my now spouse taking the local buses in Costa Rica over 25 years ago. Never quite sure if you were on the right bus or going in the right direction. All part of the adventure! Keep up the great travel blogging !
I love how you keep it real and show how the country really is. Very interesting places. Would love to see more interaction between you and the locals !
What a nice place it is,so picturesque streetsI admire how you can quickly orientate yourself in any situation and, above all,not panic. You are the best youtuber I have ever met,I respect you. That is,why you have so many followers.Thank you very much,Gabriel!👍
It's interesting to see a side of El Salvador that isn't connected to the major cities. With peace & stability I can see this part of Central America increasing it's tourism trade. Congratulations on achieving 600K. Soon you'll cross the million barrier!
From yesterday's newspaper. El Salvador was having average of 18 murders a day before crackdown on gangs 2 years ago. Have only had 18 murders so far this year. Good timing on your trip.
You drank Salvadoran horchata, it's made with milk and morro (calabash seeds), peanuts, or coconut. I know it says it's a Mexican restaurant, but they adapt Mexican food to the Salvadoran palate. Chan is kind of like a strawberry lemonade with a touch of chia seeds. Hope you like our Horchata and had a great time in El Salvador!
Congrats on 600K! El Salvador is a very interesting. I loved the walk through the streets. Even if Ataca was a little bit touristic. I think I saw 2 or 3 tourists. Everything seems very authentic. I had students from El Salvador, so it made me think of them.
My wife and I travel in a similar fashion (albeit not neerly as often as you). Sometimes, it seems as though we're over our heads (not knowing where we are, etc.). I love it. Glad to see you experiencing non-touristy areas of Central America. I hope your viewers see the experience as exciting / adventurous, and not scarred of getting out there.
Hey, Gabriel, why not use Google translate to say what you want to say out loud in voice in any language? That would make things a lot easier? Man, try it out. Great vids, keep 'em up.
Another excellent video, thanks. Your camera captures every little detail on your trip, that is nice. The "horchata" you took it tastes like peanut, but it is made from the seed of a local fruit called "morro". I like to see that your very interested in knowing the history of each thing you see. I recommend you to ask the young people about something you want to know, because some of them speak English. Regards.
Hey Gab, I am enjoying your adventures in El Salvador. The gastronomy there is quite unique, don't expect it be identical to Mexico or any other country even if it looks the same. Horchata in El Salvador is made with a blend of grounded toasted seeds, including peanuts, cinnamon, sugar, milk and other things. Take care.
Excellent video showing the real El Salvador. Also congratulations on reaching 600k subs, fantastic achievement but no surprise, you make the best videos and go to the most interesting places. Well done! 😊❤
❤ great day! It’s that feeling of anxiety about getting back to your hostel, but adventure too. I went to South America on my own and I equally experienced not being understood when speaking 😂 Amazing country, fantastic colours and history.
hi Gabriel, improvised the day trip good to get around seeing other towns and the step pyramid and the many wonders of the ancient world. Pyramids are seen all around the world and they represent many different things to diverse cultures, important ceremonies and events which are the main purpose also the believed to have generated energy as well.
oh yeah, watch a cantinflas movie while in latin america, it puts things in perspective, even though cantinflas was mexican, he was/is a cultural icon to the working class in latin america
In reality, the flower route begins in Ahuachapán, nearby there are several attractive places such as thermal pools, the lagoon and of course the central park, which is one of the most beautiful in the country . That area also has and produces the best high altitude coffee, in addition to being the largest national protected area in the country and is called the Central American capital of geothermal energy for the production of that energy That area has a very incredible coast, much better than El Tunco
In my footsteps. Ataco was my next destination after Santa Ana. I walked with my backpack to the bus station which was around two kilometers from Sole. The bus station was a bit tricky to find the last meters..haha. You went the exact same way the last meters. It was really the real deal 🙂Ahuachapán wasn't an easy word to pronounce. The local buses in El Salvador was a bit of a highlight, but like you said, it takes a lot of time to figure and to ride,. The bus to Santa Ana volcano was also a local experience. Ataco was so relaxing I was sad to leave it. I stayed in Ataco for 3 nights. Used Ataco as a base to visit the other villages. Ataco is really small and good for a day trip. It was a shame that the main square was under renovation. It looked nice. Had many meals at that mexican restaurant. Tacos were great.
What an amazing video! I'm really enjoying it 👏🏻 Ataco is my favorite "Pueblo" here in El Salvador. Thanks for capturing it, all the essence of your trip is very organic 🇸🇻
it's Salvadorean horchata, the volcano, just go there yourself, you get to go in groups, you pay for a guide there, like 3$ (not sure) and then pay to climb it at the entrance too, you really don't need a tour guide, you'll be joining a group of people to climb it
great video!! yes it's impressive to see people carry items on their heads, i see maya women here in los angeles/pasadena do that all the time... the first buss you boarded they looked like they were not used to tourists
A blessed Good day sir Gabe Nice Wonderful Walk around tour video in Beautiful places in El Salvador 🇸🇻 thank u so much Godbless from the Philippines 🇵🇭🙏🙂♥️
That was horchata de morro. And as already said here in Salvador and most everywhere else in Central America. Bus stop is parada de bus and bus station is terminal de bus. I love ataco and Ahuachapan.
I'm sorry amigo for all the hassle you had to go just to cath a bus , my country still primitive , haha . But in the other hand it gave you a great experience.
sorry to say this dude but I laughed really hard when you could not make yourself understood..... It happened to me when I visited Vietnam.... I learned only a few words and would often get lost and not get the food I wanted, good to see you are taking it in good stride though, safe travels
Gabe, i don’t know if you found a mural by a famous Ataco painter named Cristina Pineda and her models were all cats. It’s a nice mural deep inside the town.
El Salvador del mundo, The Savior of the world, its a beautiful country with beautiful helpful and hopeful people. i was there last year and really enjoyed it, meeting the very friendly local people, and seeing the beautiful country. i,m glad to see that the current president had indeed made it a much better place.
It depends which music you're referring to. I added lots of music to the video and there was also music playing in the background at different points in the video.
Great to see hoe authentic and local this place is. No hustlers, nice markets with cheap streetfood. People seem calm and friendly. I dunno, I get a very pleasant vibe from these videos. Speaking Spanish quite well does seem like a must though, but that's true for most latin countries I suppose
Yay, 600K! (that rhymes, by the way) Glad, you booked that tour and glad that tour didn't happen, because therefore you got an early start and we got to see a much more interesting tour! Maybe you could buy some fruit that you haven't tried before and do a taste test.
Hi Gabriel, great videos mate. That Horchata was a local horchata made from MORE spices that a typical Mexican horchata. In my opinion the Salvadorean version is more tasty.
Does every house in this city also have a patio inside? My dad spend time in Antigua Guatemala and on his pictures allmost every place he visited this was the case. So beautifull.
If you like picturesque places, travel to the town of Coatepeque, and nearby is the beautiful lake of the same name. Then, go to Ilobasco (i lo bas co) which is a town legendary for its art crafts.
That bus driver was so slow omg lol even if they say it differently, station is not too complicated of a word, you do have good pronunciation 👍🏽😁 , love those ruins 🙏
...is Brazil your next destination?? 😉i noticed that Florentinas snack you had and it reminded me of a sweet tarte with various marmelades we make here in Greece, it's called "pasta flora", delicious! ✌awesome mirror in that restroom and that mural !👌congrats on 600K Gabe, you worth it!!✨✨
Amigo, you have to carry exact change of 0.38 cents; the drivers are so in a hurry and in the confusion they won’t give back change plus they won’t remember who gave them more than what it suppose to be. Pay exact amount period.
In El Salvador we don't use "station" but "terminal". You should ask for "la terminal de buses". Station is ussually related to train.
And bus stop is "parada de buses"
There we go, muchas gracias.
love it, congrats on 600K!
Yes, so well deserved. A lot of hard work!
Yes 1000 congratulations
Congrats for reaching 600k. You are the best travel vlogger.

From yesterday's newspaper. El Salvador was having average of 18 murders a day before crackdown on gangs 2 years ago. Have only had 18 murders so far this year. Good timing on your trip.
Salvadoran Horchata is primarily made of ground up Morro Seeds instead of ground rice in Mexico.
Interesting, never heard of that. Very unique taste.
Facts, I’m glad someone knew.
Those are the moments
You drank Salvadoran horchata, it's made with milk and morro (calabash seeds), peanuts, or coconut. I know it says it's a Mexican restaurant, but they adapt Mexican food to the Salvadoran palate. A very good afternoon smashing that like awesome 💯😎
Your videography is good. I also enjoy your commentary. Sure hope you visit the mountainous coffee country and add more content from there.
looks like it is a country with lot of foodies
I love those old towns and I am so close to El Salvador right now. Might have to make a quick vlogging trip there soon enough
This is a great video! Thank you!
I always look forward to your videos as you film it in a way that makes you feel like you are there and it brings always a smile to my face.
35:11 Wowwwww….I have no words how amazing!
Good morning from Arizona 8 AM
Congratulations hitting 600k. All these El Salvadorian cities bring their own Classical, colourful lively street life.
your guide was probably in Sunday service. Love the shot at the intro!
That was a well-done adventure to find your way through the buses. Amazing temple.
Congrats on 600K! El Salvador is a very interesting. I loved the walk through the streets. Even if Ataca was a little bit touristic. I think I saw 2 or 3 tourists. Everything seems very authentic. I had students from El Salvador, so it made me think of them.

You're one of the best travelers, you travel like a real local. Love your videos.
Congratulations on reaching 600k!
This place looks incredible! A bit of an unexplored gem it would seem as many would’ve avoided the country due to the problems of the past.
That poor bus driver you’re telling him the name of a famous El Salvador hero. He didn’t know you meant the bus station.
Haha, oh well, awkwardness happens.
But the driver should have understood Gabriel cos he was telling him in Spanish...
@@JkHellas sometimes we locals don't know the official names of the places

I really prefer Saladorian horchata to Mexican.
Great, good to know.
Such an interesting video of rural El Salvador
If time allows, you should visit Suchitoto. It is considered a “pueblo mágico”.
Buenos días from Suchitoto, enjoying the vlogs!
great video!! yes it's impressive to see people carry items on their heads, i see maya women here in los angeles/pasadena do that all the time... the first buss you boarded they looked like they were not used to tourists

THAT WAS A COOL INTRO!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏

Cant wait for the lovely beach reporting!!!
Was that music a soundtrack added, or was the music actually that loud in places?
It depends which music you're referring to. I added lots of music to the video and there was also music playing in the background at different points in the video.
Congratulations, I am so happy for 600000 subscribers..man did you earn that.
I was in Ataco 12 years ago and it is the same other than the murals are different. Think about taking a coffee tour from there.
Watching your video again I like the intro how you did it 👍
Great to see hoe authentic and local this place is. No hustlers, nice markets with cheap streetfood. People seem calm and friendly. I dunno, I get a very pleasant vibe from these videos. Speaking Spanish quite well does seem like a must though, but that's true for most latin countries I suppose

El Salvador 🇸🇻 ❤
Hi Gabriel, great videos mate. That Horchata was a local horchata made from MORE spices that a typical Mexican horchata. In my opinion the Salvadorean version is more tasty.
Lost in translation, the local colour, still getting around. That's some real travel right there man!
Hi just been up Triund from Mcloud Ganj. Excellent trek Gabe 😊
Sweet. 👍
Horchata in Spain is made with tiger nuts.
I went there in this video: ua-cam.com/video/QKLNpRtVfCw/v-deo.html
Pedro Infante is the actor on the wall of the restaurant.
Love when u goto historical places. In any country. For sure my fav content from u (of course love it all too tho)
I believe Gabriel just tasted the original Mayan Horchata. If you've ever heard of pumpkin spiced coffee, well this Horchata has ground pumpkin seed.
That Florentina cookie is good, can't say the same about a cold pupusa though 😅
This is called horchate de Mani, my favorite. Made out of penuts.
✌awesome mirror in that restroom and that mural !👌congrats on 600K Gabe, you worth it!!✨✨
You made it!!
amazing place!!
Thank You!
600K!
Woohoo!
Amigo, you have to carry exact change of 0.38 cents; the drivers are so in a hurry and in the confusion they won’t give back change plus they won’t remember who gave them more than what it suppose to be. Pay exact amount period.
It's okay, I was just joking about the two cents, it's not a problem. 😊✌️
You mean terminal de buses not the estacion. I'm only guessing.
And you are right...we do not employ the word station..but terminal...terminal de buses..it sounds weird ..but is that the way it is..🇸🇻
