Or when your employer(s) start treating you like you don’t do anything useful all the while that you are running their business for them. And/or when they start making false accusations against you because you didn’t get the hint to leave when they acted like you didn’t do anything useful for them. Walk away and try not to gloat when their business, that they have zero experience running, goes down the drain without you. Yeah...it sucks not having the income, but nowhere near as much as it sucks working for crappy people who cannot appreciate the employee that was there when they bought the business.

For me it was workplace violence, by a new manager and then a new supervisor. Both had extreme hatred toward me especially the newly appointed supervisor and both from what I hear are still there. Strangely though there seems to be high turnover now at that place and I'm glad I no longer work there. I moved into another job and even worse people were there so I promptly left that one too. Shortly after I left that one two managers were fired, I think over my leaving (there seemed to be an in depth investigation) and then about 2 years later the associate director of HR resigned, I think she saw what I saw and left too, too many narcissists and just plain crazy people out there and it can't be fixed. Many people in positions of power and authority are grossly unqualified and do not should not be in those positions. Directors beware, do not appoint arrogant sociopaths and psychopaths to positions where they have power over others, it will end in disaster and you yourself may well end up losing your own job. It's gonna be tough going finding another one too especially as the economy is starting to tank.

@@yenningchua9607 Just to let you know, I did not give up nor quit the job, and managed to become one of the top performer. It's been more than 2 years, and I'm moving on to my 2nd job in a couple of months, which certainly look promising.
Reach out and seek help. Be sure to have your ways to release stress. It's okay to take a break. Set goals with timelines, and different approaches to achieving it. Work hard on it, but don't forget to take care of health and relationship. There will be times that you feel down and defeated, but also times that you can see your growth and achievements.
Quitting your current job is one of the solutions. It takes huge courage, but don't let it admit your failure and hinder you to move forward. So long this decision will benefit your mental health and aligns with your long term financial/career goals. All the best, I pray the best for you.

I’m very good at driving my self and replenishing every week but he is really good at killing any motivation and bring you back top point zero. At this point I’m just building the momentum to head out. Some leaders are just not good at leading. Watch out for these types otherwise you will end up with a bad mood and a bad health

Weird right? My manager is the same. If he let me do my thing and encouraged me every once in a while I'd do a lot for the company. I'd be so motivated. Instead he throws all the tasks at me that he thinks others can't do and pressures me to do even more and faster. Absurdly because he thinks I am already fast I have to do even more with no reward at all.

femaleforester sounds like me! I only work 8 days so far and I already want to leave because the employer expected so much of me just the second day in there when I literally told her I have no experience so I need guidance and time to learn about this job. No she wants me to work faster and know what to do on my own already on my second and third days!! I already made it to the eight days but I’m ready to get out as I found a new place though it’s volunteer and unpaid, the owner of the store is nice and patience with teaching me. She’s willing to allow me to challenge myself and support and guide me if I decide to take on a new challenge at work. She’s always at the store so she’s willing to help answer questions and teach me! I like better than the pay job I have now which only pay me $10/hr but gives me so much headache. I feel pressured and unmotivated and unhappy to go to work! Always fear of what the employer will say to me!! I need to leave even if it’s only 8 days of work, I cannot stick it out any longer!! She’s too much for me and it’s not like I needed the money!! I just want a boss who’s understanding and willing to teach and guide me on the job so I can grow and gain the experience I needed to be better and improve my skills but she doesn’t. The third rule she said if you’re only there for a couple months try to stick longer but with this job I have, I cannot any longer because it makes me unhappy and stress even not at work!! Makes me have nightmares and I’ve been waking up at night a couple of times because of the anxiety and fear I have toward this job!!! I need to leave now!!!

My advice to anyone contemplating leaving their job is as follows when your “done“ it’s time to go! At my previous job I went through all sorts of emotions from pigeonholed, sadness, despair, anger, emptiness, boredom, destitute, misery, etc., etc., etc. Then one day I woke up and just said to myself “I’m done with this place“ and began my exit. Two months later I left that place and started working a job where things were MUCH better for me! I’m happier, full of life, there’s opportunities for me for advancement and I look forward to going to work now.
So remember, you may go through several emotions if your job is not doing you right and you feel like there is no opportunities there but when you’re done, you’re done! That is when it’s time to leave.

let's face it. the fact we're even watching this already means we know our job isn't for us. i damn well know mine isn't, from the first day i KNEW it wasn't. i'm just scared. for a number of things.
first of all i got in with the owner of the place backing me up. i feel like it would be such a waste of her time, she has done a lot for me to get in only for me to want to back out so fast. i planned to get at least three months in but i don't think i will be able to handle it.
also my mom has rooted for me so hard, plus she covered most of the costs of my requirements. i wouldn't want to waste her effort.
but i REALLY know i am not for this job. i mean in everything we get into, we'd know from the start, we get that feeling and we'd know whether it's right for us or not. i know my strengths. sure, i can handle all the hard work and fast paced environments but doesn't mean i enjoy nor want to keep doing it. my strength lies with creativity, critical thinking, and literature. it is definitely because of that that when i come home from work i feel so drained and relieved that i have gotten out. even before work, i dread having to come. i have strengths that i can never put to use. i can not excel or put my best foot forward because i can't express or show my true potential. all work is exhausting but i truly believe that with the right job, the tiredness is paired with fulfilment, because though you have exerted yourself, you have been able to use your talent and skills.
i also thin like i'm always on thin ice with everyone. i'm the only new hire and i feel like a burden. the supposed seniors who should know better are the ones who pressure me the most. they say to ask but get mad when i do. i do not know where i stand.
everyone tells me i have improved and learned the fastest and even i know but not even that makes me happy. it just makes me scared because they would expect more from me. i just get scared of what i do NOT know.
every time i get home i vent to my friends about all the things that sucked at work, not the many things i have done right. i am not a negative person, quite the contrary. i love living, but not for right now. when i think of the near future even, i see myself quitting. i can't even call my rest days, "rest days" because all i think about is how i have to work again tomorrow and all that.
i currently work in fast food service. i CAN handle it but it doesn't fulfill me. some of my seniors have been there for decades, but every second i have to work there makes me want to cry. i know all work environments have a certain toxicity, but i KNOW that with a job that is for me, i wouldn't be too fazed as i am just doing what i do.

It’s time to leave your job when the people on FMLA are treated 100 times better than you, despite the fact you actually show up to work every day and the FMLA people don’t. When the company makes you do 2 to 3 times more work than everyone else… A.k.a. you get punished for doing a good job. When you’re expected to pick up the slack every single day for FMLA people who call off… This is when you know it’s time to quit. I will never ever ever let myself be abused by an employer like this ever again, and you shouldn’t either

Thanks for sharing this video. This is so relatable. I too resigned during my probation period. I was working in my previous company for about 5 years. As time goes by, I realised that there was not much career progression/development opportunities in my role. Hence, I took a leap of faith and went to search for other job opportunities. When I chanced upon this new job, I was delighted because the base pay was pretty good. When I started the 'intensive' training during probation period, I experienced a 'shift shock'. Or should I say, a work culture shock because the work pace is so different from my previous workplace, and it was fast to a point where I felt overwhelmed and disconnected when coping with my work. Thats when I realised that it was a poor job fit.
In addition, my health took a toll as well!
My mind and body were forcing me to resign from my job and take a break 🥲
Looking back, I shouldn't have solely used money as a criterion, but to understand my areas of work interest, career goals, skill sets, strengths and weaknesses better before I pursue Or take up any job offer.

You might feel discouraged and in distress at a job but jobs are so very temporary. Your life is so precious and Jesus Christ thought you were to die for! That’s how important you are in this life. He loves you so much. Don’t let anyone or anything make you feel otherwise. It will get better trust me, no matter how dark things look now. God has an incredible plan for you. I got a new job (only for a couple of months), and I am very deemed to quit and even about to resign first thing in the morning. Why?
Every single day I am not respected by my supervisors, constantly getting words that makes you feel very inferior, you can't really asked questions to them because they will say to you that I suppose to know it already. Given that I am a type of person that is very independent, the last resort I'll do is to ask. Every mistake that I'll do it is also taken against me, I really felt alone and not appreciated. Because of the constant pressures and fear of having another words thrown at me the quality of my score plumetted making me a "bulls eye" for my supervisor. A week. Of. Pure. Stress. And. harsh. Words. Thrown. At. Me.
That feeling of being anxious amd your nervous each time you'll receive notifications on your computer is already unhealthy and I stop asking people for help even though i am outside of work because I have this thinking that they might be angry if I ask questions.
If you feel this too, just Leave. This is not the ideal employer you should be working for. They dont have any right to make you feel inferior or unappreciated in any way possbile. They do not hold your life amd they can never control you. You are FREE. Leave.

I need to learn more to get some training and try to get experience, but I feel that would be a better fit. My job now is draining and depressing. Every day takes away more self esteem and I feel like a loser. I don’t have another job lined up but I have saved enough where I don’t have to work right away. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they got a degree in the wrong field? I realized that the reason why I’m so unhappy with each job I’ve had since I graduated from college is partly because I’m in the wrong career field. Now, I feel kind of lost and hopeless. 😕

    Hi Linda,
Ive been an avid follower since i stumbled on one of your videos. I do have a question am quite sure i get a light from you on this. When should an employee get a rise normally in a managerial position? I hope to hear from you soon.
