Their situation is between the ears. They are brainwashed. One can easily Make money in America. Plenty of people Who can’t even speak English come to the country with nothing and make a living.
I live here in Blytheville. We all can only do so much. I steadily try and do what I can, but I’m only one person. There are so many good people here, they’re just too scared to step out of their comfort zone, because the drugs, guns and violence out weigh the good. I am far from being at the poverty level, but I live where the norm is to hear gunshots almost every day/night. If everyone who was able to help would just try, without the fear that keeps them rooted, Blytheville could make a comeback. In the last 14 years the crime and drugs have gotten worse. I will continue to help where I can, with hopes that with some small acts of kindness the children around here know someone cares and they are enough. Prayers for the people of Blytheville. Because only we can make it better together.
