I think you should do one about Alabama. People have many outrageous stereotypes about Alabama like how it's just a bunch of cornfields, "hillbillies" and that we "sleep with our cousins." They don't think the state has cities just like any other state. I showed one guy in Atlanta a picture of downtown Mobile, Alabama, he was shocked that it had tall buildings in the city. I think that would be a good one for you

I worked for a rehabilitation center in anchorage for men who are transitioning from prison/jail/drugs & alcohol addiction back into society. I’ve heard stories that made me realize that Alaska is just like any other state in the lower 48. There are always bad apples everywhere in this country. And I wish the city of anchorage peace, love and prosperity within communities
They seem like genuine good dudes. They aren't trying to act hard or make it seem like they are ready to pop off, they are just living in a climate that most people could never handle! They are proud of their territory but not in a hostile way at all.

It's something about Alaska that makes a person different, maybe it's the isolation from the rest of the country, where you need that sense of community to get through the winters, or maybe it's the beauty of the state that makes people band together to protect it, I don't really know. And I grew up in Alaska, the dark winters are something you get used to, Alaska isn't an easy state to live in, nevermind work in, but it's a beautiful state and it'll be always be home to me.

As an alaskan, I’m always gonna have love for Hawaiian people. It’s like we’re the two outcasts in the family & we can always relate about everything. I’ve been there a few times and it’s just something about both that feels the same. Always easy to tell locals & tourists apart too💀
Hawaii would get a better rep if locals wernt known for being douches to tourist or anyone non Hawaiian living there. I love Hawaii but alot of the locals ruin it but I get the otherwise too. A lot of tourist don’t respect the island/nature ect
I was in the Army up in Fort Wainwright outside Fairbanks. The STD, suicide, AWOL, drug and alcohol abuse up there was intense. 8 months of 20 hours of darkness followed by 4 months of 20 hours of sunlight. It would be as hot as Georgia some days and the mosquitos were enormous, there's even a giant wooden sculpture of one not far. North Pole and Santa are close by as well but we were always told to stay away from the weekend bonfires because of locals and gangs. One thing we did do up there is turn up! I don't know if they told you but Anchorage is considered one of the most dangerous cities in America (per capita). We rank #2 in the nation. Gangs, drugs and violence throughout the state. I lost my son to a murder in 2015 and I have several several friends who lost their kids to murder too. Gun violence. Mass incarnation is growing too. There's a dark side to our state but there's also beauty to it.

As someone who live in Alaska (anchorage btw), I can confirm that there is shooting's, gangs and murders. Just a couple of months ago there was a hostage situation happening in a neighborhood.
