Hi. A really nice model of an iconic ship , the first of many to come. A benchmark ship. This is why the Royal Navy ruled the waves at the turn of the previous centuries . Good video.

Really lovely, fabulous presentation and I love the story of the flags. I don't think I have made a ship since my teenage years, (Tamiya's Vosper Perkasa springs to mind), but if I was to, HMS Dreadnought would be high on my list of ships to build.

Thank you! I would say it's worth it if you don't mind the extra time and effort the PE parts take.

Very interesting work there sir. It was amazing listening the history of the ship.
I once did long time ago an aircraft carrier in the same scale as well. Only difference was that it was from Revell. Also this was my first ship that I have assembled as well. I mostly assemble the airplane model kits, and helicopters.
But yes, I understand you at all about mistakes. As a beginner we all make mistakes. I know I did make mistakes as well when I started that hobby as well. Nowadays I have some experience as well (let's call it that way), but I'm still learning as well.
Important thing is that you like your progress as well, and that you enjoy in it as well.

Very impressive build. The flags really make the kit, your skills at painting such minature scale is outstanding, A video would certainly be of interest. I may have mentioned reentering the field in retirement so the detailing on the kit would have to wait until skill levels return.I just happened to sneak by a model shop today and was surprised to see a kit out already on the new British submarine Astute class, I think it was a Hobby Boss kit scale 1/350, around $20.00. If you're looking for a weekend build. Its the latest rage in the submarine world BTW, your ship stand is excellent, similar to museum displayed ship models. Always interested in your kit builds. I've rarely ventured away from aircraft . AMT cars in my teens :-) Collected pop bottles for 5 cents a bottle, then bought a kit.. Till the next one.

Thank you! I might encourage you to give the details a try though. After all, we develop skills by exercising them. (sorry, that's the teacher in me coming out!) I'll have to check out that submarine. I've got an idea for a submarine diorama in the back of my mind. . .

@@professorbellbuilds no problem on the encouragement , reentry has been a challenge. I'm finishing up on my third entry level kit this weekend, (8 year old + kits from Hobby Lobby), can't mess those guys up at six bucks apiece . Then a notch up with a few 1/72 Spits and P40. Then tackle my stash and a few Eduards in the wings. For a submarine idea , that Astute class was interesting as its the top of the list boat
" wise". In the large scale Border Model has a 1/35 DKM Type , VII-C- Boat upper Deck kit., It practically screams out for a diorama because its just the deck, I almost bought it myself. Its at the man size budget of 150, however Model Ship Depot has it on sale for $119.96. While there is no kit for this next historical idea, The Germans were losing a lot of crew over the channel do to hypothermia. So they built a very large bouy of sorts, with living quarters that held 4-6 crewmen. The bouy was painted yellow and had a radio to report it was occupied and a submarine would be dispatched to pick them up. There were a few incidents where the Brits found the bouy and things got interesting. Ironically I've thought a of a dioroma of a downed Spit on one side, bouy in the middle and U- Boat surfacing with Germans on deck of bouy But I digress. So many stories involving almost all the vehicles and aircraft and today you can find a model to bring those stories into 3D. All the best and Standing by.

@@professorbellbuilds i liked the details, the fact that It was pretty Easy, It has a lot of movable guns with an adjustable range and It has a hull and a flat parte for dioramas, so you can display It as you want. It has also some options (like of you want to put a seaplane or a fighter on the catapult. A 8.5/10 for me because It has some very delicate Pieces like the antennas and the anchors that were a hell to put on (im not an Expert so It was probably Just my fault)

@@RN_Roma No sweat on the English. I've gotten worse from Brits and Aussies! It does sound like a typical good Trumpeter kit. I think one hesitation I have is that if I get it, I'll probably go down the Italian Navy rabbit hole, spend several hundred dollars on books, and gain 50 pounds from all of the delicious Italian food I'll be craving! Do you have a good pair of tweezers? If not, that's probably the biggest help for the delicate parts.
