Towing with the 2021 Ford Bronco | Bronco Nation

- How much can the 2021 Ford Bronco tow, and how does it drive when pulling? Russell Marine, located on Lake Martin in Alabama, lent the Bronco Nation team two jet skis and a trailer so we could go over towing with the Bronco, including tow capacity, trailer hook up, and performance.

I’m following along while I try to do this myself, and I got stuck. Can’t get past the part where you *get* your Bronco?
This comment wins.
LMFAO... I am having the same problem, even though I have confirmed that my Bronco was built on August 5th!
@@mpeugeot do you have the hard top or soft top?
@@michaelbrown5962 2 door MIC hardtop
@@mpeugeot ok, I was like crap! My wife’s was built the week of September 13th. We have a four door soft top. Hopefully it gets here soon. Sorry yours is taking so long, that sucks man.
don't forget to put a pin in your coupler latch to keep it from lifting. very important part of coupling your trailer.
So, it's raining, and you have jet skis, that you get wet operating, but you didn't go out on them because it's raining and you'd get wet? Derp.
Have you ever stuck your head out the car window when it's raining and you're going 55mph? The rain feels great slapping your face.
@@3akoscielski Like a thousand needles! 😂
Wussies.
Astroturf Ford Bronco Content.
Yet still waiting on my 2dr hard top. Yeah I put my reserve in first 72 hours July 2020. 😑
Same here 😥
Put my reservation in 2hrs and 8 minutes after they opened up. I never even got scheduled. Worst product launch in history.
Yes, but if you were special, like Bronco Nation, you would have your MIC top Bronco.
Didn’t know they made men’s shorts that short!
It's so you can admire his legs better. Good grief, people in the comments are so ridiculous. Why are you so focused on his legs anyways?
@@goldenbanana5079 hahaha, just a joke dude
So bad!
It's a Bronco Nation exclusive.... They either got them from the local YMCA or Navy SEAL surplus.
Pretty sure he's gay
Yeah. 3500lbs max won’t cut it 🥺
Great video!!
Not
No, Mitchell, it's not. Come on, man... You are better than that.
I just got a Patriot Camper X3 with a GVWR of 3500 pounds. I've got my fingers crossed
The Bronco only tows 3500 lbs if equipped with factory installed 53Q option. If you add a hitch and wiring yourself it is only rated at 2000 lbs and if you tow more the warranty if voided.
Saving this one for beach day
I don’t get why the Bronco, built on a truck chassis and with more power and torque, can only tow 3500 lbs. The Explorer built on a car chassis, with less power and torque can tow 5000
The suspension is drastically different.
@@StinkzMehaff stiffer rear springs? Weights the same as an Explorer. Makes zero sense. If the trailer has breaks, there is no reason the Bronco couldn't tow 5000-7000lbs. It's built on the Ranger frame. Wtf gives? Ford just doesn't want the liability.
@@sean9267 no, I mean mechanically, in design, the suspension is hugely different. The Bronco uses a 5-link suspension. The Explorer is way different, more similar to standard SUVs.
Gopro Hypersmooth stabilization....holy crap I got get dizzy when he's holding the GoPro
A Prius could tow that trailer. How about hooking up a 22' pontoon boat and let's see what it'll do.
Same capacity as a Jeep. You can't tow more than the vehicle weighs unless you're stupid. A small pontoon might be @3100lbs, which would be at the top end for this. The person who tries to tow a 17-25' pontoon with this is someone with a death wish.
Any idea on gas mileage while puling about 2K lbs?
Sure it will tow more without a problem.
where did you get the Bronco jacket from???
Ford, the same place they got the Bronco from.
🤘
Does the Bronco towing package have both a 4-pin and a 7-pin connector??
5:02 it looks like it... 4-pin on the left, 7-pin on the right
Yes, if you happen to get it from the factory.
For several reasons, I needed to stay in the MID-size segment -- SUV or Truck -- but it HAD to be serious 4x4/off-road capable, not your garden-variety mid-size SUVs or trucks. Neither the Bronco nor Wrangler could tow enough (3500lbs is anemic), so I had to go with the Gladiator (Rubicon). And given Ford has decided not to come out with a Bronco Truck after all -- which would have been a Gladiator alternative -- the only other "serious 4x4/off-road capable" mid-size truck was the Chevy Colorado ZR2...but could never get one (chip-shortage @ GM). So all that left me only ONE choice -- a Gladiator.
I think it could handle those jet-skis. ;-)

How cute... "Once you get it...", if Ford would just ship it, it would be a possibility!
I see that you all didn't have any problems getting a MIC top Bronco. And if you ever wondered if Bronco Nation was a marketing arm of Ford, just look at the manufacturer plate on Bronco Nation's Bronco... That answers the question question 100%.
If you doubt that, ask yourself, if it has a Manufacturer plate, then why does it have a Bronco Nation sticker on the rear window?
Pure Astroturf. Ford should just be honest and state that Bronco Nation and Ford are essentially the same, other than the illusion of independence.
I ordered mine a month after you posted this. Picking it up tomorrow. Order one instead of bitching
@@EpicConspiracy dude, I am already driving one, only difference is that I had to wait nearly the same amount of time as yours just sitting on Dirt Mountain. I am glad you getting one tomorrow. I waited a total of 11 months to get mine. So what did you end up getting?
Ford has never tried to hide the fact that you stated.
Meanwhile America is dying.
Dying from?
Might be a good idea unplugging your trailer lights before backing it in the water. I guess it depends on what type of lights you have incandescent or LED on the trailer. Might blow a fuse on the Bronco.
Might as well go jet skiing then... nothing much we can do until the wokies vote out Comrade Biden.
Mike-
Even though I am not a fan of Old Joe it might be a good idea not to make a political statement because of the diversity of your viewers. Thanks.

@@supermike0822not in the rain, you might get wet! That's dangerous!
Wow..two jet skis. I'm impressed. NOT
What do you want it to tow? A 4-horse gooseneck?
@@supermike0822for 59k I'll keep my 1 year old Tahoe that tows a bunch more weight, no turbos to melt, same or better gas mileage, more interior room, rides better, I could go on and on.
@@jeffnewman2864 Totally different class of vehicle. Tahoe is a competitor to Expedition. Bronco can handle all kinds of trails that Tahoe can't. Tahoe isn't a serious off-roader.
@@jeffnewman2864 I bet my 10 year old $10k F-150 will tow more than your Tahoe despite having the handicap of a pair of turbos... Despite the fact that it has 235,000 miles on it. Wanna lose some money??? I will put $500 on it, any time and any where. How much was that Tahoe again? ;)
@@mpeugeot If you want to go dollar for dollar let's hook yours to my supercharged 8.1 liter 98 k2500. We'll see who wins.

Jordan. You seem like a nice kid. Advice. Go sell electric cars. They seem more your style. It's way obvious you don't like this thing.
Right, real reviewers, especially for offroad vehicles, need tatts and beards, what was Bronco Nation thinking?
