Built for sportbikes in search of improved grip on wet, low-friction surfaces, the Metzeler Roadtec 01 is a performance tire at the top of its game. From the rebalanced tire stiffness that allows for a better contact patch with the road, to the positioning of radial grooves, to the increased harmonization of the various compounds, the Roadtec 01 Front and Rear tires work together to provide first-rate control. At the same time, the belt and carcass tension parameters have been upgraded along with the the mileage for a more stable ride, for longer.
Can i have the Metzeler Roadtec 01 on the front tyre and the Metzeler Tourance Next on the rear tyre of my Triumph Street Twin?
Ive just put these on my bike, coming from Michelin pilot rd 4, which are a great tire, i got 6k from those. !st impressions these Metzelers are a more sporty feel to them, the front drops in easier than the Pilot 4,and the feedback and feel from these are excellent, so far ive done 1000 miles and been to the Isle of Man and they felt great. IStill think the Pilot rd 4 is an excellent tire and which ever you pick either are better than you.
This is the worst tire set I’ve owned. The wear on the tire pattern is horrible, causing a high pitch noise off center patch with low mileage on them. Not doing this again.
Do these have a similar profile to the M7RR. I love the turn in characteristics of the M7s, but would love longer tread life.

be ware! The front tire is made in China, while the rear is still made in Germany .. very disappointing.
I put some of these on my GSX-R 750, and they are amazing !! Grip at all times, even at 4°C outside. You can easily put your knee down. Hard aceleration and braking on corners is not a problem either :-)
These tires have phenomenal wet performance and excellent overall performance. I'm on my second set and ride my bike very hard.
awesome, good on long rides and in the wet, how does it do when you feel like going through some canyon carving on a.. vfr800 for example?
Great grip when new. Excellent handling in the rain. Got at best 8K on an FJR1300. Rear Mid section is completely flat. Will not be buying these again.
I had a pair of metzeler, did a lot of mileage across europe. Amazing grip
I loved the m7rrs had 2 sets. I got approx 6miles off the rear. more off the front. but I'm liking these new 01. I hope I get more milage.
Running these as a stock tire on my new 20 CB 650R. 150 miles in and I like what I’m feeling... more miles to go!
Spent two weeks with the 01 on my R1100S, been very impress with the handling on my daily commute. Coming from the M7RR there is not much this Roadtec 01 can not keep up with. The wet weather grip is excellent. The tire is a bit flatter then the M7RR so it is a much more stable for long straight riding on the Autobahn. If the milage of the tires are in the 6k miles range, I don't think I will ever go back to a Sport Tire in the future. These sport touring tires are getting the performance of a sport tires and the life of of a harder compound tire. I am pretty sure the Pirelli will be updating the sister tire Angle GT to similar technology as the Roadtec 01.

Riding these as stock tires on a 2019 Honda cb650r, and I love these tires! Perfect tires for street use and weekend canyon carving.
These are great tyres, front and rear. I run them on my XJR1300. I live in Norway, so its mostly cold and wet. Great grip, they dont require warmup, and when they do give, you have plently of warning. They also make the little-forgiving XJR much more corner friendly. The rear will easily last 3 sesons for me (half a year each), I replace the front after two when it gets too V-shaped. I ride about 8000 km each year.
I had those tires on a Honda Varadero, those are brillant on the wet and crappy weather we have here in belgium.
Great tires I just bought second pair for next season.
could I run these on an harley fxr for better handling and more of a sport bike feel?
