- The 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (SFOD-D), commonly referred to as Delta Force, Combat Applications Group (CAG), "The Unit", Army Compartmented Element (ACE), or within JSOC as Task Force Green, is an elite special operations force of the United States Army, under operational control of the Joint Special Operations Command. The unit is tasked with specialized missions primarily involving counter-ter, hostage rescue, direct action, interdiction, and special reconnaissance against high-value targets. Delta Force and its Navy counterpart, SEAL Team Six, are the U.S. military's primary Tier 1 Special Mission Units tasked with performing the most complex, classified, and dangerous missions directed by the National Command Authority.
Most Delta Force operators are selected from the United States Army Special Operations Command's elite Special Forces Groups and the 75th Ranger Regiment, as well as from other special operations units

Twisted Hippie SEALs are the only one fricken known. Personally I’ve grown up on the water and do a lot of water activities. It seems like I would like the SEALs more but all fucking SEALs like to live in the spot light. SEALs suck when it comes to being quiet. @@zolo7111 Delta Force all originated because the founder of Delta was on a exchange with the SAS and he came back and saw what the US Army was missing so he projected that they need a dedicated Counter-Terrorism unit and out comes Delta. And a lot of the CT units around the world are based around the SAS.

For people who don't know Delta Force doesn't just recruit from Army they recruit from other branches mostly from the Special Operations Forces of each Branch including other Tier 1 operators such as the USAFs 24th Special Tactics Squadron and DEVGRU

Fun fact, the arrow head on the airborne logo is a nod to the devils brigade from ww2 who were considered to be one of the first true special forces units and where made up of both American and Canadian troops

Cool video but at no point it shows any Delta Force operators. It only shows scenes from movies and video games. Most of the scenes are from movies about Navy Seals.
@Scott DePasquale You are right and that is the exact reason why everything in the video is not about Delta but some random stuff. Although, I believe there is a video on youtube showing footage about Delta operators. The video is a little old, I think it was made in the 90's.

If there is no actual footage, then what the fuck did you expect. Also, I can't exactly tell because your grammar is a little odd, but you say "depicting on several occasions about Navy SEALs", were you implying that the movie scenes shown were all Navy SEALs? Because there was a solid 30 seconds of Black Hawk Down movie footage, which in real life was all Rangers and Delta.
