How to RUST MASON JAR LIDS inside
I know there are several ways of going about rusting mason jar canning lids but this is just my preferred method I use and that I’m sharing with you. There are many other great ways to do this process, this one is just my favorite ❤️

you can also rust bands by pressure cooking in tap water @ 15psi for a few hours (no vinegar or salt)
I just need a couple of canning cycles (basically two growing seasons) and I've got several dozen rusty canning rings.
I was searching for tips on how to prevent rings from rusting. Why are you purposely rusting them?

I get the 316 stainless steel lid. Never rust.
Like David, I was looking for a way to remove rust. But I was also open to finding a way to rust mine more evenly as they are for crafting 😂🤷🏻♀️ do you know how to seal them afterwards to stop the rusting? I will have fabric in mine and don’t want it “leaching” out into the fabric and ruining my work
Hey Amanda! I’ll be honest I haven’t tried sealing rusted canning jar lids but a clear spray sealant like this one amzn.to/2OaXRCd may work for that.
