Dude, you did an amazing job on this video… what a great trip, we had so much fun, can’t wait to get back on the trail with you, Noelle, and the pups!!!
This is a well-done video of a beautiful area. I checked Purple Air, and surprisingly, all the sensors in that area are in the single digits. Today's wind must have blown any smoke to the east. Looking forward to part 2.
Is this trail available on gaia? It looks amazing and i eould love to get out there with my dog and girlfriend! We have a gladiator and are getting a camper installed somewhere around november!
When I look at Gaia, it looks like parts of it are labeled the Lost Sierra 4x4 trail. However, that seems to take some different trails in some areas. That is the same general area. With onX it is clearly called out as the Deer Lake/Gold Valley trail. There are many trails in the area to explore.
@@GoldensGoneWheelin I'll have to take a look, I grabbed the trail head coordinates from a previous comment too. I'm in the Sacramento area so decently close to go exploring!
5 minites into the video and no mention of the trail jead name or general area of where the trail os at. Is there a reason y u can't tell the viewers what trail head IS? Or am I expected 2 watch the entire video on the off chance u mention it?
Hey Kirby, the main trail in this video is the Deer Lake / Gold Valley trail. Trailhead is just west of the little town of Johnsville, 39.75852, -120.69474 which is just west of Graeagle. You can also access the trail from Gold Lake 4x4 trail which is more technical.
Fun looking trail. Awesome scenery.
Killer JEEP.

Thank you.
Sweet!
I wish you guys were there.
Looks like you’re near Sterling Lake off the Fordyce trail.
Similar area, but this is Deer Lake Gold Valley.
Good stuff again, 392 build is finished so I would like to connect at some point with y'all.
I can't wait to see that 392 build.
Great video, is this on the 50 or 80 side?
Thanks! Pretty far north of 80 actually. Just south of Plumas National Forest
Where was this? Looks amazing!
Northern part of Tahoe national Forest near the border of Plumas national Forest.
What trail? We’ve explored a lot in TNF and it doesn’t look familiar? Thanks. Great video
Deer Lake Gold Valley.
@@GoldensGoneWheelin Sweet. That and Snake Lake are on the list for this year. That area and the Sierra Buttes are gorgeous
@jamesandereggen2173 ah check out part 2 when it comes out. That includes Sierra Buttes. 😄 Hope to have it posted for you next Sunday.

Did you start the trail from Sardine Lake side or Greagle side?
Graeagle side.
Any road numbers , Tahoe NF.
11E67, FS93-003, and FS93-002 make up good portions of that adventure.
How do I get to that trail?
You can hit that trail just outside of Graeagle.
got a gpx file/waypoints/FR numbers?
