Tahoe National Forest - Part 2: Sierra Buttes

- We finish up the weekend in Tahoe National Forest spending some time exploring a potential lakeside campsite, that turns out to be a bust. We make the incredibly steep descent down to the shore of the beatiful and majestic Deer Lake for lunch and play with the dogs. After lunch we ascend the steep and narrow trail to the top of the Sierra Buttes to the lookout where we take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, lakes and horizon.

Beautiful area up there. I’ve been to the lookout several times over the last 45 years but nothing recently. They say on really clear day with binoculars you can see the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. The trails going out Gold Valley to the north is a fun trip also. Good gold prospecting up in that area also.
Yeah we love that area. That lookout is dizzying and amazing. Thank you so much for watching.
That was Bad ASS! Very Cool~Thank you so much for filming and sharing.
You bet! Thank you so much for watching! 😄
Sleepy pups = success, this area looks amazing!
Yeah, we need to do a lot more exploring there.
So beautiful up there. Spent 11 years of my Navy career in SoCal and Monterey. Would have loved to get up to that scenery!!!
It's never too late!!

Thank you buddy. We would love to tag along when ya do. So many little trails to explore up there.
Mike, I can't believe you haven't been there! Great views... (Although these people drove past the "No motorized Vehicle" sign about a half mile down from the Lookout.)
You could also visit snake lake... take the easy route
Super good adventure. Great drone shots. Nerve racking ascent to the lookout. Great job. You will get more and more subscribers with adventures like this. Look forward to you getting healed and back off the road.
Thank you! Going a bit stir crazy right now. Can't wait to get back out there.
Wow!!! Great video, they just keep getting better and better! Ivvy and I had such a great time on this trip and you did a phenomenal job documenting and videoing it! Well done.

What an awesome trip! Sending you great healing vibes on your recovery man 💪. Curious how you are liking your Patagonias? We have them on our JKU and so far really love them. Much love to the fam and the pups! Get your rest and listen to your body 👍.
Thank you so much!! Regarding the tires, they have been great for us too. I wish I were getting more miles out of them but honestly they have been a great tire!
Thank you for sharing.

My underwear would have never made it to the lookout

I’m sure it says it somewhere in there, but I didn’t see it. What trail is this?
That is mostly Deer Lake Gold Valley trail.
