Or does the turbo just come with the ewg and I need to get an up pipe that I mount the ewg to?
You’ll need an uppipe with an external gate mount. If the internal is welded shut, you’ll need to relocate the wastegate, which is the point of having the internal welded shut.

Tuning. You can have the valve just open up at a certain psi or have it open/close (flutter). We opted to have it open fully as it’s less wear on the components.
What’s your power goals? The tmic has been great and have had no issues. Can handle my power level with no problems. Personally, I’d only go to fmic if I was pushing over the 450-500 mark.
What year is your STI? If it is a 19+ how did you protune this after the Cobb green speed update, I have a 2020 STI with a Catted downpipe that I want to throw an intake and EWG on but I don’t think I’ll be able to tune it since my protune has P0420 disabled and now protuners cannot do that with the accessport.

Something about this one specifically is keeping me around. If anything, I’d like to add to the stable and keep the STI around for as long as I can.

Drone depends on your exhaust setup. I have a bit, but that’s to be expected with the setup I am running.

How come your turbo doesn’t spool as loud as others
Because the EWG and exhaust are so loud. In the drivers seat, it is very audible, just hard to capture on video.

EWG can get a bit annoying even normal driving.. I honestly have thought about a muffler on the dump tube.
Mine only opens around 15 psi so it’s pretty easy to keep it closed under normal driving.
