you’re an incredible artist! i’ve chosen a level fine art (along with criminology and psychology) beginning in september, i’m so excited but nervous for the workload!
Thank you so much! I'd recommend watching my video about a level art where I talk about managing workload. It's a lot but definitely manageable, as I also studied art and psychology!
Hey, not sure if you'll see this but I'm currently leaving year 11 and have chosen art, criminology and sociology. How has it been for you? Is it very hard or enjoyable etc.? Would be great to have some insight before I go! :)
@@_evieharris_ hi! i actually didn’t end up choosing fine art as i switched last minute to geography instead, but i’m sure if you enjoyed gcse you’ll enjoy it as long as you have the motivation and passion! but criminology has been great for me if that’s any help, and college is so much better than school!
In September I'm doing a level art, graphics and photography. So I'm literally doing all creative subjects which means I will have to make so much stuff, I can't imagine how many hours I'm going to have to spend on all three subjects. I might die with the amount of work so I'm so scaredddd. Seeing your sketchbook has really inspired me though, i love seeing other people's sketchbooks!
Hey! I do a level art, media, photography and I'm currently working on my own graphics sketchbook for my uni application. It's a lot of work but not impossible! I suggest putting together a timetable early on, getting lots of research out the way early on so you can focus on practical work etc, and never forget to use lots of different techniques. Good luck to you!
Beautiful artwork carina. I'm predicted an a* in a level art, but don't know for sure due to standardisation with the a level exam results this year, fingers crossed. How's uni at the moment? Love the idea of the final piece, unfortunately I could not do mine, I would have don a 3D element as well. Nice video!
Do you think I should take AS art if I haven't taken gcse art? I'm also taking math, chemistry and psychology alevels, but don't know whether I'll have enough time for art. Can you give advice please.
@@Clixeezy if you are planning on taking it for AS but not A2, given you cannot now get an AS qualification I think you'd be giving yourself unnecessary extra work. It's a great a level but it's certainly not easy
Good luck! Really sorry you didn't get to complete your final piece, I have been thinking about all a level art students at this time as I know I would have been really gutted if this had happened to me. Uni is going well, thanks for asking. Just a bit crazy doing everything from home now!
Hi, I did a lot of my art coursework in the evenings whilst watching TV at the time of day when you wouldn't necessarily be wanting to do 'book work' but you could still do a lot of drawing etc. Honestly, it was very intense and a big time commitment and you do have to be willing to invest that time if you're going to do art
Hi. This is urgent. So in a levels do we really have to make up our own topic idea and not copy others ideas or can two people have the same topic like is it alright to do so?
I'd recommend trying to create in as many media as possible and experimenting with different techniques. Currently if you have free time it's worth making the most of it as a full sketchbook with testers and experiments will get you far! Xx
Hi this sounds odd but for the collage you have at the beginning of most of your sketchbooks, (which I love by the way) do you cut out each thing and collage onto the page or print already collaged? I hope your able to answer this. x
Hi Abigail, A Levels are one of the most common qualifications taken by British students between the ages of 16-18. Most students take three A Level subjects across the two years and these are examined at the end of the second year. The resulting grades can then be used to get a place at university or help determine your career options.
Carina Mae so I want do something that has to do with art and history at the university but I don’t know what because I live in Belgium. Which majors can you do in Engeland if u want to do something with art and history ?
Hi Joseph, a lot of these piece weren't necessarily from other individuals but as part of the mark scheme you need to have it all linked back to artists, so, even where they didn't influence it, I found a link. Even so, it is only natural that when learning you get inspiration from artists.
I‘m starting my A-Level Art in September. Your sketchbook is incredible and I definitely found some inspiration!
Thank you so much! Glad to hear it has inspired you, I hope you get to use the next few months to get creative!
Same. They are already giving so homework ,im scared 🤣
Girl you have talent!!! Every page is like a hit in the face with expression! You are and amazing artist!
Your final piece is crazy !! I love it, real talent
Thank you so much!

What sketchbook did you use and would you recommend it for mixed media use?
Hi on 5:35 how did you cut out the patterns on to you picture. Did you use a craft knife?
Yes!
Does coursework need to have a theme ?
Your work is so amazing! Just out of interest what type of sketchbook do you use and what size did you get it in? X
You're actually insane to do that for your final piece..like how can you do that in 15 hrs
How do you balance this on top of all your other A levels? I’m struggling with just 2

What exam board did you do?
What media did you use for the Gary Hume page?
If you don’t mind me asking

Starting Fine Art a level in september, thanks for the video. What did you get in GCSE art, if I assume you took it?
U r really good I got a b for my AS wat u dd really gave me an idea on wat I should do for my Alevels

Hi, sorry for a late response but I cut everything out and collage onto the page
how did you spend 285 hours on the final piece (i thought it was meant to be 15 hours)- or was it for component 1?
This was the coursework component. The exam component I have shared in a separate video which was published a couple of years ago
What is a level ...?

How did you print on acetate i cant as the ink just comes off!
Can't entirely remember, we had a printer at my school which you could change the settings on to be printed on acetate
Your final piece was a tedious bitch I’m sure. Very excellent job by the way. 🎊
Thanks! Was definitely a very long process!
I'd. Love. 1. Picture. Without. Any. Other. Individual. Influencing. Your. Ideas. Please.🐝
