I am a 72-year-old grandfather, I never listened to Metal. Since I had first heard Floor and Nightwish 3 years ago, I can enjoy them all day, they are great.
Yep Humphrey, 10 Years younger but the same. No day with out some Nightwish.

Back then I was one of just a few people that was running around annoying my friends with the phrase, you gotta hear these guys. That hard work paid of 20 years after the fact. lol
Iˋm a Finnish girl, and Iˋm really proud of Nightwish. They had a great show in Tampere 2015 (Finland). You must listen to Weak Fantasy.Oh my god what a song😍

Emppu, the guitarist, is the prankster of the band. During one song in Wacken 2013 he unblugged Floor's in-ear when he passed her from behind. Floor has about half a minute to get it right again before it's her time to sing again.
In the beginning of the song you can see Emppu talking to Troy about what he has in store for Floor. When Emppu passes Floor again they face each other, Emppu is smiling, Got you! Floor looks down on him, litterally, but lovingly.
Emppu drinks beer, Corona mostly. The story tells that Floor had a payback arranging so that they put apple juice in Emppu's beer bottle. Emppu hates apple juice, so when he took a sip he spat it out right away.
Emppu also often makes contact with individuals in the crow, and throws pics in the middle of songs.
A fan once asked Floor: "If you had a fight with Emppu, who would win?" Floor: "Emppu, he is a black belt judoka!" As a junior he won the Finnish Championship, bronze medal in Nordic Championships. He says music saved him from sports.
Tuomas loves red wine. He has a bottle holder under the keyboard. On the End of an Era concert DVD you can see Tuomas pouring wine straight from the bottle to Emppu's mouth in the middle of a song, Emppu just keeps on playing all the time. Tuomas takes a sip as well.
I Want My Tears Back is the song. Emppu is so adorable and funny. Such a wonderful, gifted band...

I always tell people who never heard of Nightwish, That Nightwish is one of the Best Bands with one of the Best Female Singers that the Majority never have heard off...

Yes, it is Floor, just like the one the walk on, I am in her fanclub. Her whole name is Floor Elisabeth Marie Jansen, the J in Jansen sounds like a Y, nicknames are the Valkyrie Goddess and Queen of Metal, and she is the sweetest and most humble person you could ever meet. I mean I gush over her greatness, and she gets embarrassed, says thank you with a smile. She says, I am just Floor. I am a 54 year old Georgia boy. This band and lady never stop amazing, just be prepared.
There is only one singer that can growl and sound angelic .....within the same phrase. That is the Metal Goddess herself, Floor Jansen . Definitely one of the Nightwish top songs. Love all your genuine reactions 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Wacken isn't done yet, every song is like this, the whole show, great reaction again from you. Tuomas is an amazing composer. Dead Boys Poem from Buenos Aires is a beautiful ballad and Marco on the double neck. Keep going with Nightwish.

It may be a while until Nightwish returns to being as powerful as the time Marco was there. But a new album is on the way and we'll see how well Tuomas adapts his songwriting.
The best album in my opinion is their latest album, Human and Nature.
Every song is a highlight in the rock world seen. All compositions, fantastic lirics and not just songs.

🇫🇮 👍 This song was one of the 1st that Tuomas wrote for the "Imaginaerum" album. According to Tuomas: "Since it's a dramatic album about the celebration of life and existence, you need the dark side as well. I love the dark side and I love all kinds of evil stuff, so we needed a few songs to describe those. 'Ghost River' and 'Rest Calm' are the two songs that are talking about the dark side of life." More specifically, this song is a duel between the Devil (Marco) and Mother Gaia (Floor).

There's three versions of I Want My Tears Back that ought to be seen - Buenos Aires 2018 for the crazy crowd, Wacken 2013 for Emppu's prank on Floor, and Helsinki 2018 (fan-cam, but pretty good quality) to see Floor chase Emppu right offstage trying to get him to dance! And then he spends the whole song trying to avoid her, making funny "help! I'm scared!" faces and sticking up on the riser by Troy or Tuomas so Floor the Dancing Monster won't get him.
That guitar though! Love that riff in this one. Looking forward to more reactions of Nightwish!

My pleasure Animal! And may I say that Mouseman really did a great job once again, keeping the flow of this NW river going, while also giving you guys the opportunity to vent. I mean at some point, even I would've begged him to pauze because of awesomeness-overload! And for sure, at 3:45 Mouseman seemed to have noticed Floor sneaking in one of her trademark growls there?
Anyhew, so much to enjoy in this one, but for me it's the unexpected twists & turns that put the cherry on the cake. From the sudden introduction of the creepy children's choir 8:33 after Marko's vocal storm, to amping it up again.. And then, when every other band would've gone full blast, the most epic breaks ever being put on a crescendo (8:47). This is Floor's moment to shine with devastating delicacy! I would've dropped tt floor right there & then.
So ty guys once again for a lovely reaction. Animal, I see you in due time when you get to that Wintersun ("Sons of Winter And Stars") drum tornado called Kai Hahto. I think you should try a bit different side next. The Planet Rock session with Floor and Troy doing How's the Heart would be an interesting place for you to go.
After a bunch of really hard stuff, you should check out Poet and the Pendulum from the Wembly 2015 show. If you do, make sure you check out the history behind the song first. It adds real meaning to everything in the song.
So envy you to discover these songs for the first time, and Floor is magical....
I am absolutely loving the way you guys react to Nightwish. This is such another amazing performance. You have so much more to go from their live concerts. Wacken 2013 is legendary but so is Wembley 2015, the Baltic Princess Nightwish Cruise 2015, Tampere 2015, Buenos Aires 2018, and then some incredible shows this year. The entire sunset concert video from Nightwish at Hellfest 2022 has been viewed over 2.4 million times in 3 months. Then a week or so later they did an outstanding nighttime concert at the Deichbrand 2022 festival. Floor looks and sounds so beautiful. You guys seem to really appreciate the music, it's great to watch your reaction. The band members are all so freakishly talented. The drummer Jukka is insanely good.
Another excellent reaction, lots of good insight from your guys. I think everyone can agree the planets, heck, the universe aligned at Wacken 2013. Enjoying the journey, don't neglect your music as I think you have a lot of talent and a future. For Americans, Finnish names are...interesting. I concur, but that's the re-recorded 25th anniversary video. Of this line-up, drummer "Super" Jukka has retired due to severe insomnia problems. He still helps NIGHTWISH in the background. Sadly Marco has also retired Atleast for now, even from his own music projects.

Hey, Animal, it's easy to understand why Jukka is your new favorite drummer, he's amazing. Have you ever heard of Hannes van Dahl? He is a drummer for the band Sabaton, also has a very good technique. Detail that he is the husband of Floor Jansen, lead singer of Nightwish.
Hello friends, in the last reaction to Nightwish I suggested two songs, the first "The poet and the pendulum" that summarizes the state of mind in which Thomas was left with the departure of vocalist Tarja Turunen and "The Great Show on Earth" with the participation of the physicist English Richard Hawkins at Wembley 2015. In fact, these fantastic songs take over 15 minutes each... Amazing how a band can maintain their concentration levels for so long without interruption with a fabulous interpretation. I would like to propose two more, of course shorter but powerful "Song of my self" and "Devil and the deep dark ocean", the latter with a heavier register. Hi again guys and gal. Yes there is so much more to discover with Nightwish and Floor Jansen who has her own UA-cam channel with some amazing covers and live concerts. I don't blame you for listening to Lovebites, a really talented all female band but it's another massive rabbit hole with so many other great Japanese bands. Band Maid, Nemophila, Gacharic Spin, Asterism (amazing female lead and male bass/drummer) and Sokoninaru ( super female bass) to name a few.
You already pronounced Tuomas Holopainen very well. Enjoy the Nightwish sparkle! 💪😁🤘
I am so lucky to have all Nightwish studio albums. All of those since 1996 💝 I also have this Wacken 2013 original 2 set DVD including the document "Please Learn The Setlist In 48 Hours" when Floor Jansen jumped in to Nightwish crew. Have a nice journey my friends 🤘

Keep doing them live: then they are at their very best.Other spectaculair concerts are: Wembley, Tampere, Argentina and Mexico. There is some footage with the original frontwoman Tarja too that is special: the classic 'Phantom of the Opera' is brilliant. Marco as frontman is also very worthwhile to listen to: ' High Hopes' and 'Kiss While Your Lipps are Still Red' are surprising and awesome. There are some fab adventures hiding in this adventure that are worthed to go for. Keep on reacting and have fun.

Another song we will probably never hear again live because Marko has left the band. If you listen again you might catch Floor growling at the end of the chorus.
If you're this exited now just wait until you get to the song "The greatest show on Earth". There are two versions. live at Wembley and live at Tampere in Finland. I suggest you guys go with the Tampere version because those visuals will blow you away.

Ghost river is a spooky fairytale in Northern Europe. It is about a beautiful whitch with a voice like a sirene, who lures young children at night to the river, where she feeds on their souls.
Marko is the good guy here, warning children NOT to go and NOT to cross the river, Floor is luring them.
I still hope you want to react on devil in the dark deep ocean. It is creepy as hell (the evil one born in the dark ocean, wanting to destroy all good and wants a mermaid who fell in love with (Floor) sHE PRESENT THE BLUE light ocean. The interaction between her and Marco is awesome, so is the music.
