@nekkidwatchmaker I love your channel and @wristwatchrevival. Now I have three to watch, I mean view. All three of you seem kind and I learn so much from these videos. It’s almost like free apprenticeship!

@@VintageWatchServices I enjoy every video you make. I'm starting to buy the tools I need to start servicing mechanical watches as a hobby because of you. For what it's worth, you have been an inspiration.
@@kupariusa4202 That's very humbling, thanks for sharing 😊 I'm sorry for your loss and it sounds like a great project to restore your father's watch :) Watches are after all one of the few personal things most men wear

Really amazed to see the craftsmanship of this extraordinary Omega Chrono watch of yester years, particularly u showed out in dismantling n refixing the parts, so delicately. Thank u for ur time n God bless.
What a magnificent timepiece! Looking great for 80 years old too. I have to admit I always find the slow-mo shots of case parts going into cleaning fluids in the videos extremely fun and satisfying. Very cool to see you repping the BHI coat too. Ps. I think the neighbours' dog is a big fan of Casios.
Thank you dear Stian for this wonderful treat. My guess is that this watch must have been one of the last ones to have been built to these specifications as the war in Europe made it so much more difficult to find quality materials to build such marvels. Most watchmakers have told me that watches made in the 50s - when high quality materials were available again and precision technology had taken a leap - are simply the best, but this one is truly spectacular. And very, very beautiful.
Thanks so much! Yes, I'd agree that watches frem the 50s are more refined but the legacy of something like this makes it very cool to have on the bench :)
Can’t believe you are 82 Stian. We share birth years. I had you down for around 65.. Always admired your skills and knowledge. All the very best. Mick🇬🇧
As you said, (and I am a fan of your cynicism and sarcasm...very Swiss) you are almost 82 years old. Wow! I hope I can be as productive as you, in 14 years when I get THERE. Kudos!
Beautiful watch, beautiful work ! I didn’t realize Omega made chronographs in the 30’s. Sure glad you were able to find a replacement jewel at your local Swiss gas station. Keep up the good work!

You'd think that a scaled down vapor blasting unit would be available for watchmakers these days to clean the staining from the larger, less delicate parts.
