Canon Masterclass
Excellent tutorial and tips for a common shooting scenario.
Thanks for this. I love Sorkin's walk and talk.
Quick ,"in and out", with some good advice. Nice!
I discovered your channel and when I get my moving completed I would like to check out your classes. Glad we have digital now. I shot a short on 16mm film back in 1972. Three minutes of film cost $15.
love this 🔥 I have a shoot today and I’m just looking for some ideas, and this is brilliant
Very informative. I love these types of tutorial type videos! Thanks Rubidium!!!
Glad you like them!
WOW ! please make more videos like this. so enlightening and very very helpful. can't wait to go try this. Thank you for helping so many of us with videos like this.
Thank you! Will do!
Hey I’m a huge fan but just wanted to flag to you that these pieces are incredibly well put together and informative and it’s a relief not to here cliched background tracks filling up space but I think your usual ebullient energy is flagging a little and these are coming over as authoritative but perhaps a little down. No grinning or awesome expletives needed but just wanted to give a friendly “cheer up” to the otherwise excellent content. Thx and I genuinely hope all is well.
I love it and tells you all you need to know in the first 15 secs
nice to see the fp still being used, chap.
Always good. Thanks.
You bet
Very informative
Thanks!!
Please do more sigma fp and fpl videos!
Could you make a video named ”What a writer actually do”? I have always wondered what their role in the studio is, when the script is finished.
I think so
Thank you 🙏
Thanks! So simple but I always wondered how would be the best way to shoot it. Where would you hide the LAVs on the two actors in this clip though? Worried about rustling sounds.
You can do lavs or you can have someone walk beside and boom it. A properly attached lav mic shouldn't rustle unless the person is really running.
Thanks 👍
Nice shooting
Also always have someone spotting the operator when they are walking backwards.
Love it
Good, concise information, Rubidium! Happy to be a subscriber...:-)
Thanks Kevin!
Great Video! Thank you! I just purchased the Sigma FP, do you have any videos on the best settings you use for filming? Also do you have LUTS available for purchase? THANKS AGAIN!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
What if they’re walking through shade and then direct sunlight how do you get it so it’s not underexposed when in shade and not overexposed for when they’re in direct sunlight
As usual, thanks for the great videos. Question... In the video you said you were using the FP-L, yet the gear description shows just the FP. Can you please confirm which one you were using in the video. Thanks.
it's the L! Sorry. I'll update the link.
@@Crimsonengine No problem. Thanks.
Sorry, one more question. I see you are recording onto SSD's with the Sigma, I assume you are recording the CinemaDNG format, correct?
@@chrispyharrison7768 DNG always. Into the SSD.
@@Crimsonengine Thank you.
I Rubidium, thanks for that video...I am trying to find the bounce flag you have used in this episode but cannot find it. Could you help me to localise it. Thanks.
Here ya go: bhpho.to/36Iypjj - works with RoadRags frame
@@Crimsonengine thanks Ribidium, much appreciated.
Hi there! - but what you do with the dialogue-Audio when you shoot coverage with one cam? when you shoot mediums or close ups from different angles, with the same one cam, the audio quality must be exactly the same, and you must not have some atmosphere noise on the mics, or everyone will notice it, that this is the audio from another take.
Ok, when you shoot the speaker from over the shoulder or behind, t h e n you can use the audio of the wide shot, when the actors played through the whole scene, but what if you have a cut where the mouth of speaking actor should be visible from another angle? - t h e n you have to record the audio of this angle new, o r the actors speaks e x a c t in the same rhythm and timing so that you can synchronize the white shot audio over the coverage...I'm about to shoot a dialogue short with one cam, that's why I ask...Thanks!
I’m not a pro in ADR, but this may be something that’s done in ADR. You can use add to create or reduce distance,
