Mate you fly wonderful…. As step up from deleting 450‘s and punishing 420‘s should I pull credit cards on this one or the raw580? Or should I crank my card up and go full send aka 800 class… because big=stable
Great flight bro! Agreed! The canopy is not so appealing, the tail , yes white is just dumb! I even pulled the tail fin decal from my 420, sometimes all these decals and www.'s all over look tacky and toyish. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching! I like colored tail fins, or decals to help with visibility. But Align put that white trim around the fin and it just doesn’t match lol on the TB70 (where this tail setup comes from) it matches the white trim around the frame (witch I still don’t like lol) but on this helicopter, it just looks out of place. I would much rather have a solid carbon fin that is color matched to the canopy and boom.
You might remember me asking you about converting a old 600N over to FBL, well I picked up the heli last week and finally got round to looking at it, apart from all the dust most of it looks good, its got spektrum servos, futaba tail + GY401 gyro and even the original 2s 1900 pack is at storage voltage, its missing a few screws and tail gear has been damaged so when I take it all apart to rebuild I'll check shafts etc
I do remember! That’s awesome, the 600n was produced the best nitro heli ever made for a very long time. I’m going to get mine down and get some more videos on it! You will be happy with it!
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I believe you commented on my post in Heli direct group iirc, I ended up taking engine apart and the front bearing is very notchy, I've yet to get rear out, the connecting rod between piston and Conrod is rusty or something similar, the conrod could barely move was a right faff to get it out of engine, but she'll live, the liner looks new, very little wear on it I did find out the cyclic servos are very meh, so I'll be on hunt for good deals on some for it, trying to keep cost low as possible where I can
Hey Jeff great video and nice flying. I also have a TB60 6s and loving it but mine also buzzes at the tail fin once I build up to low head speed from spool up, when I speed up to mid or high head speed the buzz and vibration does reduce alot. I think it's a trait of this heli as I've tried adjusting the belt tension and re-lubed the tail shaft but still can't quite get rid of that buzz on low head speed.
Jeff, you have to figure out things like cutter rpm, chip load, depth of cut, climb or conventional milling, heat dissipation, cutter wear etc. if you plow through it you may just snap the tool. I recommend carbide tooling, (not cheap), and the dust and splinters can be problematic
@@wowblackhawk as long as the main shaft is the same diameter you can use any head. Might have to make some linkages and stuff work but it will bolt up.
Hey Jeff, great flying as usual and setup. I have the same model and mine crashed today due to the main gear failure as well😢. Did you ever find out a fix or upgrade to this problem. It's a shame a company like Align can't make a good reliable gear smh. I got this heli to give Align a try again after more than 10 years and it seems I should've stuck with SAB helis. Please let me know if you have any info on this. Thanks and keep up the good work.
@@drifterwong-ken6624 Hello! Thank you! I greatly appreciate it. So what I did that seems to have fixed it was drop the timing to 8 degrees. I found the motor was shutting down and restarting and that was causing the main gear to strip. Try dropping the timing and see if that helps. I wish Align made a stronger gear or did belts like SAB.
I wish they did too make better gears like SAB I'm running their 750mx 6s motor at 10 degrees timing but I have no motor restarting issues. My heli badly damaged from the fall out of the air I sent them an email regarding this crash because it's unfair to me or any other rc pilot to rebuild or replace the kit when this is clearly on the product.

I agree with the gears, why not go belt ?. The new goosky rs7 went with gears and definitely a turn off for me. I feel like belts crash better and less wear.
Definitely! SAB spoiled us with a simplistic belt drive that works great for the last forever. I personally think all helis should be done that way but I’m not a designer lol
