Very nice job! Really reminds me of how great Neil is as a guitarist and how powerful his playing is. It's such pure emotion - it's magic, especially his performance in this song. I"m going to go listen to it now. Thanks again.
Of the many songs I learn off of UA-cam, I visit numerous channels but end up using yours for the best lessons. Better learning through progression, notes explanation rather than all the “down up down up down” strumming directions.
Congrats, like very much your videos. Mainly this and that special you've made about the chord progressions of songs written by Townshend to the great magnum opus " Tommy", hats off to you. I appreciate very much, thanks for posting, keep going my friend and Divine Presence be always within and with you!!! 👏🙏🔥
@LUCASTACTICAL1 I can't remember, but probably the PRRI was around 2.5 on volume, 4.5 treble, and 7 bass. All the od was of course from the pedals (Cool Cat Drive V1 and VS Route 66 Comp.).
@TheKrissstof Thanks for the kind words and suggestion. However, Neil's maniacal Bigsby wanging is beyond replication by mere mortals such as myself. To even try I'd need to have video of him playing the original to know exactly what he's doing.
Great Job, I think neil probably doesn't do the octaves with crazy horse, because his fingers probably tend to hit wrong notesh anything neil plays electric are the right notes but might get so caught up in the ripping that he does that right notes be damned. if he hits a wrong note he'll bend the shit out of it til its the right one. the beauty of Neil as a player is that sound life someone dropped a wrench into a finly tuned racing engine and your on the 150th lap. I love how reckless neil is
@Hoodrio Yes, my confusion came from Neil's liner notes referencing to it being recorded during rehearsals for the Northern Cal. Coastal Bar Tour. Cheers
Just learned the live version, to me it sounds so much better than the studio version. Thanks for all your lessons, love the Keef and Neil ones especially.
i was watching this whole video hoping you would include that lick around 19 40 cause that is one of my all time favorite licks and i have never been able to figure it out.
@willard10s Wrong. Frank S.: "One day we were done recording and I started diddling with it, playing the chords simply, and Neil said, 'Y'know, maybe that's the way to do it - let's try it.' If you listen to the take on the record, there's no beginning, it just goes woom! They turned on the machines when they heard us playing again, 'cause we were done for the day. Neil goes, 'Yeah, that's how it goes. Just like that.' And that was the take. That's the only time we ever played it that way."
Very nice stuff only one Neil geek comment, there is no studio version of LAH. On Stars and Bars it is actually a rehearsel and I believe Crosby or someone suggested he put it on an album.
Awesome sound and a great Lesson. You were a big help! My only comment would be to use a guitr with fret dots so i can actually see where you are playing.
Probably the best guitar lesson I've ever watched on UA-cam well done brother
Thank you kindly!

Thanks Dude!
Well, thanks anyway! I dig your lessons :)
I like that you name the notes in addition to the frets and strings. Makes it easy to play after you demonstrate a move and the fretboard. Thanks.
quality video pal

Look at the top side of the neck. They're there
I am sold on the princeston !!! not so much on the Gretch, although it is very nice looking,,,,,TY !!!
Thanks for the video. I had to keep watching your "feedback frenzy" over again. Can't see your face but I know you're smiling there.
Those are the stock pickups Gretsch used to put in the Pro Jet. They're not very good.
What pickups are you using here?
nice job covering a pretty envolved song.
The tab for the song: hyperrust.org/Music/?Tab
why wouldn't he just use a octive pedal live? He does what he wants, thats what I love about him. thanks!
Wouldn't work, he's alternately picking the octave note.
Are you using an Octavia?
Nope
