  • This is a recording of What a Difference a Day Makes made by the well-loved Nottingham songstress Jyll Ball, accompanied by the popular Bob Hudson Trio. Jyll travelled extensively around Europe and the British Isles when she was younger but was particularly well-known in the Nottingham area, where she lived and sang with many local bands, including the Harry Brown Trio, the Bob Hudson Trio, the Tommy Owen Trio, the Terry Peters Big Band, the Stapleford Big Band and the Henley Farrell Big Band.
Unfortunately, Jyll was taken from us some time ago but left a legacy of several recordings, most made under the auspices of Derby sound engineer Paul Tyson, who made a brilliant job of recording many local artistes.
Bob Hudson still plays - often ably accompanied by his daughter, singer Joanna. (If you search You Tube you should be able to find her). If you like Bob's music, I believe he may well have CDs available. A search on Google will produce results!

She was fabulous. Saw her with SBB at Blue Ball, Risley 32 years ago.
