Some things in an imperfect world are close to perfect....Dave is as close to a perfect moment in time as it gets, his music brings so much joy, I close my eyes, open my ears and just listen in perfect bliss....wonderful!
It’s breathtaking how Dave can just kill it on stage with a guitar that’s a little outta tune and everyone is still in awe. Few musicians are in a class with him.
@@jesseenger9614 i know this is way past when you asked and you might not see this. But Dave really had a bunch of Influences. He actually talks about it alot in different charity concerts and videos where he actually gets to play with some of his heroes or those he looked up to. One of the biggest influences he had as a kid, along with almost every other musician at the time, was the Beatles. Dave loved the beatles and if you didnt know dave is a true artist at heart. He did some amazing drawings, some of which included the beatles in his younger years.
wow! so happy to see someone posted this show. My band Opened this show and I am wondering if anyone got any footage of my band? I'd really love to see it, as it's only in my memory at the moment. Thank you!
dmbfannh the speaker monitor was way to loud. It’s pointed at the singer so he can hear the instruments he’s playing in larger venues where you’ll have difficulty hearing it. Hear it’s so quiet so there was no point in him having the guitar so loud.
I dont think folks realize the amount of skill and musical knowledge it takes to play jazz and especially if you're improvising during the songs like they do. That shit aint easy

i say this with confidence and without hesitation, Nobody has seen this video more times than me. good day.

If there were ever an artist to inter in the Smithsonian, he'd be the one
Woah. That might be the best Ants I’ve ever heard…
This was my first Dmb concert
Greatest musician ever! Hard to believe in 2002 we were still using disposable cameras. lol

He's just a unique fantastic guitar player
Who influenced his style is my question.
Amazing story teller/songwriter as well
Jesse Enger South African music partly. He lived there for a time.

Love how he jams to his own tunes. He starts out like “bleh” then gets into it and JAMS
I was fearful the security guard was going to fall off the stage! Great set. Thanks for sharing!
thank you for your time and uploading concerts i would never get to see or hear otherwise.
no worries
Love that signature Martin. Beautiful guitar that would pair nicely with my D-41
At that time, Dave played the HD-28, if I'm not mistaken...? The D-41 is awesome, as well!
This dude is something, maybe he will be famous someday
Much Appreciated Chester!
lol i had one of those "wool" pullover hoodies back in the day, so comfortable
Thanks, loved this

The girl taking pics with a disposable camera lol always funny to see the lack of cell phones n the resurface of the disposable camera.
Jay Inslee is in the red shirt... spotted him during Dancing Nancies...lol :)
He. Is. So. High.
The baby during 'digger had it's stuff just right.
Endless talent
is that dave's wife and kid off the stage?
It looks like his wife. I forget when but he had twin girls first and then his son a few years after that, so who knows.
no
Looks like it
yes
You can turn the monitors way down

I believe that guitar has a fuller sound, but somehow the engineer didn’t let us hear it. Live would have been a different story.
How was Jazz used as a derogatory phrase. I certainly perceive being classified as a Jazz Musician to be as high a compliment as a Classical Musician.

so underrated!!!!!
Does anyone know which martin guitar model that is?
xPaQx my guess would be it’s his custom Martin that carries a unique ID, if you Google it , im sure you’d find it
Martin HD-28V (the red tortoise pick guard is how you know that its a Vintage Series. They cost about $3000.)
Actually I think its his signature series with his being modeled off the Martin-HD28 (same body style, different inlays on the fret board)
Martin DM3MD. It's his signature series guitar - or at least I believe it is.
I have a D-35, the one Dave is playing seems to me like a D-28.
No phones- people so much more engaged
The one and only Dave ……..
I was there such cool experience.

He seems like an interesting guy
Dave is the best African American EVER!!!!!
CORRECT Sir!!!
