This was my kids first "concert". We got there 2 hours early and got a spot right up front in the corner. Dave shook my brother-in-law's hand when he came out! Just as Stay or Leave ended at 25:24, Dave notice my 4yr old son on my shoulders feverishly applauding and smiling!! Dave pointed at him, and smiled back and by reading his lips I could tell his said something like, "look at that smile...". Stay or Leave will always be my favorite song just because of that little moment. I'm proud that my 3 kids were able to see Dave in person, 10ft away for their first concert! ;)

I was the guy that shouted RYE Whiskey and he played it-- and it wasnt on the setlist, so that was pretty cool and stuff. This video is just awesome because it shows how real Dave is and why I think so many people like the musics.

I'm not even a huge Dave Mathews fan, but I dig some of his music...true musicians...as I watch him sing and play at the same time, he almost seems robotic, like he's so damn good he can just program himself to just go all out...some of the stuff he plays is not simple, and he has to sing over every little thing he plays...impressive.
He's a regular dude too, just like you. The only thing that separates you from him is belief. If you believe in yourself, you really can achieve anything. Never give up bro! Peace.
