Id love to see him cooking up some of his favorite dishes with mushrooms. I've been binge watching your content and i love it :D
I second this!
Duuude yesss
Imagine having access to all those mushrooms and just make whatever you want. It would be a weird flex, but still good. Get with a local UA-cam chef, like Joshua Weissman
They supply to restaurants and grocers.
Since he doesn't already show his fav dishes, he probably is better at managing a grow house than cooking them.
@@PostPatriot he seems pretty damn passionate about mushrooms typically when someone is passionate about mushrooms, cooking with them becomes second hand knowledge especially when you’re growing for a consumers market.
I really like this guy. At the start of 2020 this channel was one of the few that got me into mycology, and now it's part of my life. I've learned a lot and I have a lot more left to learn.
Thank you for your great work and passion, friend.
Here in 2023 and in the same boat. cheers.
I'm not understanding about the tent which cover the mushroom and how to water. And where can l buy the seeds please l need help because l want to start this project but l have no idea
I love your content ! it's so relaxing to watch you working and explaining at same time, it's like watching Bob Ross of mushrooms
This comment makes me smile coz it's true... Bob Ross of mushrooms 🧡
You've been one of my favorite mushroom farmers to follow. Love the detail, knowledge, and vibes coming from you.
This man has such a pleasant voice!
Unintentional ASMR!
he speaks how most white people prefer black men to speak: nice, soft-spoke, non-threatening, deferential, and assimilating. Keep up the good work!

I just found this channel and I freaking love it. As someone who has no clue about this I love how well you describe what you are doing in such detail.
I legit love how he explains everything. It’s super soothing to listen to and super insightful.
This is the best channel in UA-cam for growing Mushroom that I’ve check out so far among the 20+- videos I’ve seen. Thank you 😀

Master Crowe, Mike. Wow! Incredibly generous to share this with us-thank you!
Best thing to see in the morning: Southwest Mushrooms uploaded.
By the way, the dried SW Lion's Mane has the MOST wonderful aroma! As I was gently tearing them open, the smell of cocoa wafted through the air. Love it.
Yes I agree
ricia Swebb I wonder if that’s the fungus that ferments cacao beans 🤔
Always a pleasure to watch and learn from you. You’ve really nailed it mate. Thanks for posting
I can’t stop watching these mushroom vids.
keep up the good work man! I get so excited when I see you have uploaded a video!
Learning a lot bro! I have a market garden in London 🇬🇧 ...got a shipping container doing microgreens and had a few small batches of oyster mushrooms but scaling up. This is absolutely class and loving this new knowledge. Love seeing people speak their passion. Awesome to see the process
Has it paid off at all? Friend mentioned this and I'm handy with indoor growing.
I really appreciate your content, I’ve start cultivating oysters and I was so happy seeing little heads pop up than 3 days later they started growing gills ! It’s truly a marvel
These videos are excellent and fascinating! I'd love to see more on testing out different substrate mixes, the breeding process, how you automated the control systems for different rooms, that kind of interesting detail to expanding this trade.
Just found this channel, homie throws down some really great knowledge that’s easy to understand.
Living the absolute dream. I can't wait to get on your level. Or get hired. ☺🍄🍄🍄🐐🍃✌
Amazing amount of knowledge! Thank you!
Ohhhhh boy keep em coming. I love watching this mans mushrooms, ever since i got my own tub is started to be more and more fascinated with this organism, my dream is to grow in a lager tent for myself as a hobby. Mushrooms are so much older than we are, this shit is something else.
I found this video while browsing UA-cam. Thank you for sharing your video and knowledge. I was highly impressed with the speaker and the process of growing mushrooms indoors.
20 minutes of pure wisdom.
Thank you, sir.
Lovin it! Blessed are the mushroom caretakers 🙂
I appreciate your comment

Thank you for your videos. I find them very informative and helpful! ✌
This was a very informative video. I like the style here of him working and explaining, while throwing in insight. Thank you for the effort yall put into this. I must admit, he said the word mushrooms so many times I forgot what the definition of the word was for a minute lmao. Overall though, I liked and subscribed based off this video. Thanks!
I was contemplating learning how to cook rice pudding for breakfast this morning. I opened UA-cam up and.... well now I’m here. Cereal anyone?
Cook rice with 3/4 the required water for 3/4 the usual time, then add milk and sugar and cook til done. Works with any rice, nice and simple.
dude inocculate that rice and use it to make fresh grain jars.. eating that shit is a waste
@@seancostello26 😂😄
This guy is just a fountain of knowledge...... thanks for sharing.
I seen a comment of a lad who went to school with this cultivator and this guy's passion has always been wanting to grow mushrooms.
Wholesome 🎉
Dude your shop is nailing it ❤ keep up the good work
Best looking oysters I've seen.
You mastered the process.
Thanks so much for sharing...
this is all like mushroom class! super informative!🙌🤛
Wow dude... your a Rock Star! What the hell do you do with all those! What a production! Soooo knowledgeable! And you use such scientific data in laymen’s terms , so helpful to us newbies!
I am a vegan for over 40 years but never grew anything, as a gourmet home chief I am well aware of their Unami favor as meat tradeoffs and their medicinal value. They are so expensive and hard t find so I aspire! And thank you for sharing al your knowledge. You are a true ALCHEMIST!
I tried to play a "Shroomancer" in D&D. Our party was incinerated while attempting to new methods of sterilizing the substrate.
you win the internet
next time, innoculate from grain to substrate under a laminar flowhood you fuckin noob
This dude is a walking encyclopedia. I'm amazed every video i watch!
I like the style of your operation very neat. A lot of other youtube growers are productive but just have junk everywhere, makes their operation look like a mess. Yours is just so, shows you care that much more.
Dude ! For us Cannabis grower, you’ve got to make a video about the miccorhyzal fungi we should have and how to inoculate them to our substrate, how to take care of them, maybe a quick review of the products available too ? I’ve heard people say that the Great White products are awesome, others say that they are ineffective fungi... That would be awesome man.
Thank you for sharing all you do, taking the time to share as busy as you are, vast knowledge, you are a great teacher. Your style is relaxed, purposeful, diligent. God bless you.
He is amazing!! So knowledgeable and such a great personality. He should have his own tv show.
You are truly inspiring sir! I love mushrooms and everything about it! I hope to try some of yours one day!
I have personally ate mushrooms 🍄 from Southwest Mushrooms and they are beyond delicious 😊 Support Local AZ business 🌵

He seriously needs his own show!
The best in the business! many hours doing what u love!
can you/do you have a mushroom grow tent set up how to, like the humidity sprayers and all that included?
I can listen to this dude all day.
Awesome content as always Mike. Why size unicorn grow bags are you using for substrate? Looking forward to watching more, always great to see your vids.
Cheers,
Eric
Never liked mushrooms that much but I've watched four of these videos and I love his acumen

Oh listening a second time.. you did say great for composting.. God Bless your steps
Love this guy!
Amazing how much work goes into replicating nature's bounty.
Just wanted to say thanks. Your video got me into the hobby.
I have a lot of raspberry canes. When they have fruited, I chip them and use them as a substrate to grow oyster mushrooms. When the block has fruited out, the substrate is a nutritious mulch for my raspberry canes. It seems like a virtuos cirlcle to me. It just feels right.
"And uhh.. it's quite a bit of mushrooms...I mean...it's alotta Mushrooms" 😂 you're not wrong bro, terrific stuff!
Well you know it's some uhh, you know they are really big you know
We need "You know" count for this vid :)

Great video as usual...do you ever reuse the substrate...if not what do you fo with it ?
you are well informed - thanks for sharing what you know.

I've heard that you need to put cuts in the bag for colonization for FAE for the mycelium. Is this true?
Dude. You have the coolest job in the world.
I love these videos,. So fascinating w so many species of fungi
very enlightening, I am learning some great strategies from watching your videos
Thank you for your videos!
i think its the sound of the plastic bags that keeps us watching. such a good sound
Fascinating!!! Can’t say that enough. Web search for Maitake led to you. Thanks for sharing. BTW you remind me of my kid, in appearance, just wish he was as focused on SOMETHING.
Love your videos, cheers!
Love the videos but hate that the video thumbnail isn't actually in the video.
If you dont mind me asking what kind of humidifier are you using?
love you story and what you're sharing. I'm starting with oysters and lionsmane and doing some liquid culture. got everything to start doing agar in a still air box. anyway. I tried going cardboard spawn to 5gal bucket of cardboard. I recognize without a supplement, the mycellium has stalled out... so. next time grains and supplemented bulk spawn. how... the heck... do you get away from 1 use plastics in scaling this hobby or business? Ive seen the jars. I like the idea of buckets for oyster, not sure if that will work for anything else... ive seen polypropylene sterilizable containers, but never at scale. Is there any way to remedy the plastic use? thanks again for all you share
Keep watching his videos he answers that in one of them. Basically it is time saving. He tells you about how labor intensive this is and he went for the bags to reduce some of the work he has to do.
What do you do with the spent fruiting blocks? Compost? Bags?
So informative to someone attempting to become a home grower
Wish to see celyceipens just another mushrooms regardless of what the idiots in higher places say. Good job bro
Thanks for all the great videos. First time commenting just started growing mushrooms. Since the mycellium is still growing after the mushroom is harvested could you just use the spent block to inoculate more sawdust or logs?
I saw a video yesterday of someone doing it with straw and oyster mushrooms in buckets. Im in west central Florida warm and moist. Just cut down a huge oak tree and have a ton of usable logs.
Danke für das hochladen sehr interessant
Brew What are all the materials your using to prepare a growing room like covering and humidifier and the temperature
This is so awesome!!! I need to figure out how to get this where I live.
I feel the need of growing mushrooms now, you have any piece of advise for growing mushroom at home ? Thx!!
Thank you so much for your videos!

Good explanation... and thanks for all the useful info
