  • Pleurotus is a genus of gilled mushrooms which includes one of the most widely eaten mushrooms, P. ostreatus. Species of Pleurotus may be called oyster, abalone, or tree mushrooms, and are some of the most commonly cultivated edible mushrooms in the world.       Since he doesn't already show his fav dishes, he probably is better at managing a grow house than cooking them.

      @@PostPatriot he seems pretty damn passionate about mushrooms typically when someone is passionate about mushrooms, cooking with them becomes second hand knowledge especially when you’re growing for a consumers market.

    By the way, the dried SW Lion's Mane has the MOST wonderful aroma! As I was gently tearing them open, the smell of cocoa wafted through the air. Love it.

    Learning a lot bro! I have a market garden in London 🇬🇧 ...got a shipping container doing microgreens and had a few small batches of oyster mushrooms but scaling up. This is absolutely class and loving this new knowledge. Love seeing people speak their passion. Awesome to see the process

    Ohhhhh boy keep em coming. I love watching this mans mushrooms, ever since i got my own tub is started to be more and more fascinated with this organism, my dream is to grow in a lager tent for myself as a hobby. Mushrooms are so much older than we are, this shit is something else.

    I was contemplating learning how to cook rice pudding for breakfast this morning. I opened UA-cam up and.... well now I’m here. Cereal anyone?

      Cook rice with 3/4 the required water for 3/4 the usual time, then add milk and sugar and cook til done. Works with any rice, nice and simple.

    I am a vegan for over 40 years but never grew anything, as a gourmet home chief I am well aware of their Unami favor as meat tradeoffs and their medicinal value. They are so expensive and hard t find so I aspire! And thank you for sharing al your knowledge. You are a true ALCHEMIST!

For us Cannabis grower, you’ve got to make a video about the miccorhyzal fungi we should have and how to inoculate them to our substrate, how to take care of them, maybe a quick review of the products available too ? I’ve heard people say that the Great White products are awesome, others say that they are ineffective fungi... That would be awesome man.

    I have a lot of raspberry canes. When they have fruited, I chip them and use them as a substrate to grow oyster mushrooms. When the block has fruited out, the substrate is a nutritious mulch for my raspberry canes. It seems like a virtuos cirlcle to me. It just feels right.

    love you story and what you're sharing. I'm starting with oysters and lionsmane and doing some liquid culture. got everything to start doing agar in a still air box. anyway. I tried going cardboard spawn to 5gal bucket of cardboard. I recognize without a supplement, the mycellium has stalled out... so. next time grains and supplemented bulk spawn. how... the heck... do you get away from 1 use plastics in scaling this hobby or business? Ive seen the jars. I like the idea of buckets for oyster, not sure if that will work for anything else... ive seen polypropylene sterilizable containers, but never at scale. Is there any way to remedy the plastic use? thanks again for all you share

      Keep watching his videos he answers that in one of them. Basically it is time saving. He tells you about how labor intensive this is and he went for the bags to reduce some of the work he has to do.

    Thanks for all the great videos. First time commenting just started growing mushrooms. Since the mycellium is still growing after the mushroom is harvested could you just use the spent block to inoculate more sawdust or logs?
    I saw a video yesterday of someone doing it with straw and oyster mushrooms in buckets. Im in west central Florida warm and moist. Just cut down a huge oak tree and have a ton of usable logs.
