What a beautiful bike! I have a ‘19 Ninja 1000 (all black) and am in awe riding it. Honestly, it’s intimidating but this keeps me cautious due to all the power. Ride safe.
Yeah I hate all the computer shit on bikes. Just bought a street triple r for some reason lol 2012 so again no computer shit on it 😁. That comes next week
This is a friggin great review, I had my last bike 12 years ago (ZX7R) which I had to sell when my wee boy came along. Been promising myself a new bike for ages, love the super nakeds cos I cant have a sports bike so this is absolutely mint!!! I really want one, would you recommend the 2015 onwards? I have about 5-6 grand as I cant get finance so any pointers on what to look for? This has been so helpful thanks alot buddy, hope I can find one soon
@@sirdavepercyware-armitagei695 hi mate I think 2014,15,16 are the same model off top of my head . You should pick up a good 2014 for 6k. I paid £7200 but it’s one owner with only 4000 miles. The market is slow at the moment so there are some good deals to be had. I am 56 and my sports bike days are over. I have had 3 fz1 which are also good bikes but this I must say is a cracking bike to ride. Won’t catch you out , build quality really is top draw. I love it
thanks for the reply mate, im out in Paris for the games so I can’t do much at the moment other than look at what’s on offer. If I can get finance then I could get something newer but I might have to try and find a 14 plate. Yours is the forts video I’ve seen, I found a few others but they are all yanks or other non UK. I think that for the money they are an awesome bike so I just need to find one lol. Happy riding and thanks for the advice 👍🙌
I think one day when I get pissed off of the comfort of my R1 I might get one of these. I personally like the front end of these and think they’re the best looking Z1 made
I've looked at a few of these now to buy, and this is the best colour IMO. Can I ask how tall you are as when I sat on them, it felt quite a small bike. I'm 6ft, 84kg.
@@Sticky-gp2yh I am 5.11 but my friend has bought one now and he is 6.2. Honestly mate s cracking bike to ride. One of the best street fighter style bikes I have ridden. I love it. And the build quality really is top drew.
no need at all for a quickshifter or gear indicator on any road bike just more crap to go wrong. Shifters destroy gearboxes and yes gear indicator is nice but for the life of me i can not see why it would make any difference to buying a bike if it did not have one. been riding 42 years and have been fine without any of it.

@@lord1999ful I would not buy a bike with a quick shifter, no need for them. And to many problems with them. And as for gear indicator yes handy but been riding 42 years never needed one back in the day and still don’t need one.
No idea mate I take no notice of that stuff I just have fun riding the bike. On all my bikes when I hit around 90 to 100 miles I fill up. Re set the trip and off I go. You should get about 130 to 140 from a tank but no one waits till they are empty to fill up. Apart from my tiger 800 which will do about 200 to a tank , my fz8, cbr929 and my street triple r and this z1000 are all about the same give or take 10 miles. If you really need to know just look up the spec
That’s ridiculous. Yes they can be handy to let you know you are in top gear saves you looking for 7th gear lol. But not essential at all. Handy yes is it a reason not to buy a bike not at all. To be honest I am gob smacked at that statement, if you have past your test you should know how to ride, you just need to learn how to ride now. Honestly mate get some riding under your belt and you will see you don’t need one. Like I said handy yes but not necessary at all.
It is a stiff seat but honestly does not bother me at all. And I have been in the saddle 6 hours at a time with just a coffee stop. people say it’s a hard seat and it is big guessing it comes down to how soft people are

You can adjust the rear suspension
I know and the front. But I always up grade my rear shocks. Adding a Nitron rear shock has transformed the handling .
