I caught a glimpse of those very unusual plants in another plant person's video when the person had gone plant shopping somewhere. And I was like "What in the world are those plants on those wooden boards??!!?" I never saw anything like them before! And here you have a whole wall of them! Wow! I know this is an older video, but I’m eagerly awaiting the rest of your makeover series! It was nice to come back to see how you planned the staghorn wall, after seeing it in all your other videos. You have such a great eye for everything: composition, color, dimension in different planes, etc.!
this was SUUUCH amazing timing, I literally just got my first platycerium a couple days ago and I can’t wait to mount and hang it once it’s acclimated to my room :DD
since you're such a visual person, there's this really cool thing you could try which might help, basically having a blank photo of your wall and then another one with all the ferns on the wall or like separate images of each fern to scale and then you can just photoshop them into the blank wall photo. I was just reminded of this because I've seen people do gallery walls with artwork like that and I think it might help especially since some Platyceriums tend to drape, you'll be able to see the drape-age too. Honestly it's probably more trouble than it's worth

Hi Benji I just discovered your great videos. I looked up platycerium and there are 18 species. I've seen P. bifurcatum in the rain forests of Queensland when I lived there. Now I live in Melbourne but therefore I can plant winter bulbs. One of my indoor decorations is the long dried flower spike of the Gymea lily (Doryanthus excelsa) which grows mainly in coastal southern new South Wales. I think my favourite U.S. native plant is the Californian poppy.
