idk why people were expecting AAA quality from this game. It was made by a very small team with a roughly $300K budget. It's honestly amazing what they managed to accomplish when you look at other crowd funded games that got way more attention.
tbh a lot of AAA games lately seem to either be trashy or blatant cash grabs. This was neither. I think they outshone a lot of AAA titles, and that's miracles from a team of people with such limited resources.

Yeah, especially with how Yooka Laylee and Mighty No. 9 turned out. They had millions in budgeting but didn't turn out nearly as good as AHIT. I make it a point to never crowdfund anything, but if Gears for Breakfast crowdfunded another game I'd back it without a second thought.

A really sad thing I noticed when Hat Kid blasts away in the ship at 13:51 is you can see snatcher just reach his arm out as soon as the ship is seen leaving, it’s so heartwarming but sad and now every time I come back to watch the ending I’m gonna notice that awesome small detail they added at the departure

I think that the reason why the game lets you give her a time piece is to teach you the value of believing in others. It's not trying to tell you to ignore common sense, and it's not trying to tell you to be careless, but if you choose to give her that one time piece, then Hat Kid made the choice to believe in her. Maybe it's not the smart or right thing to do, but she still had faith. That's, imo, what the game is trying to say. Believe in people.

People are complaining about the ending, I'm over here getting triggered at the simple reason, that at the beginning of the game the little glass door was broken, thus making all the time pieces get sucked out into the vacuum of space, BUT at the end she casually opens the SAME door thing and nothing happened? BOI, EXPLAIN THE LOGIC.

Hat Kid may have gone back to her home planet but that doesn't mean she can't see them again, she can still go back to their planet for a visit, people can replay the levels again, the adventures never end, I love Hat In Time game, also the end cutscene was AMAZING! I like it.

It's really touching how everyone's willing to actually die for the Hat Kid. They trusted them so much that they had faith they would beat moustache girl in the end and rewind.
2 years ago I saw this video, I had never seen this game before and I instantly became obsessed. I tried to find ways to play it and a few months later, I finally got to get it. I still play it now and seeing this video makes me feel so happy that this was a start to a new light in my life

There is a "Bad Ending" Cause you can just leave when The Mustache Girl tells you to. And it just shows this little animation of The Hat Kid running out and feeling powerless. Tho I would've liked it if There was a scene of the Mustache Girl getting the Time Piece if you gave it to her
