The best flat bag technique video I've seen so far! Simple and no BS! Would you say not taking a step when throwing has allowed you to have more control/accuracy?
Love the video man. I started about 7 months again and I got my flat bag on point by now but this will help me optimize it more. I love throwing Vikings and Sorcerers and with regional this weekend here in our area I will practice with this video.
@@stevecaton180 I don't but I just wash mine in the wash with towels no detergent or softer or anything like that then dry no heat with towels then just throw them
Started playing in October 22, so I absolutely understand where you are, my bags still isnt flat and I need more practice, sitting at about an 8PPR in a Dekaround right now. I'll get there, so will you! Good luck !
Hell yeah! I have a few questions if you don't mind sharing- what's your current ppr? What was your ppr when you first got started? How long did it take to raise your ppr from then to now?
My current ppr on Scoreholio says 7.62 on average I am usually happy with a high 7 or 8 ppr right now a bad game is a low 7 or 6 ppr when I first started I was shooting around a 5 and I have been playing for about 10 months now just practicing a lot I think it depends on how much time you put into the game the more time the faster your ppr will get better
@@gunnerbriz It definitely did. Thanks for the response! I just started a couple months ago and my ppr has already gone from a 4 to a 5.5 and I'm just hoping if I keep practicing I can get competitive.
i have seen other videos with pro cornhole players and way more views..for my money this is the best most well explained video I've seen ..thanks for the great tips!!
So at the beginning of the video where you showed 4 fingers in the middle of the bag. That’s the grip I use now and my consistency is all over the place. Sometimes 8s, sometimes 5s. Is my inaccuracy due to the grip allowing the fill or beads to move around freely during my swing? How much force should I be gripping the bag with? I love playing but my inconsistency has brought me to a spot of frustration and I need the simplest breakdown of fixing my throw. I’ve only been playing 2 years. First year I finished with a 5.75ppr this year I finished with. 6.66ppr. I’m not sure if I should be farther along and I need a small adjustment to my slight nose tilt all over the board bag. Or if I’m just not gonna get good at this game. Im definitely gonna try the grip that you showed and see if that helps.
People seem to ignore learning how to throw flat because they just get bags that are fast and won’t kick if it’s not flat and they can get around it for the most part. But it’s so important. In my opinion everyone should learn to throw a carpet bag first. You can’t get away with not throwing a carpet bag flat. It won’t work
Yes I agree learning to throw a carpet bag will make you a way better player because one you have control of the bag to make it do what you want and two it will make you have to throw a flat bag or it will kick all over the place when your not trying to or not even make it a couple inches up the board
So are the fingers doing anything to make the bag rotate? I've been practicing trying to get a flat bag for like 2 weeks now, and it is so inconsistent for me.
Gunner, I have watched hundreds of videos, yours is by far the most informative!!!!! Thx
Your welcome glad it can help
Really helpful. Especially the last bit about starting close

Throwing a flat bag ain’t my problem. It’s throwing it accurate. 🤬😔
You want a video on accuracy?

Probably best vid I’ve seen. Grip on bag, logo up, palm up. Try it.

I find it more to be the snapping of the wrist turn
So do you keep your third finger and pinky finger off the bag?
Yes I do
Excellent video my friend
Thank you
How do you grip the bag?
