I also find sometimes it’s not just focusing on throwing right at the hole but bc the snap of the wrist sometimes feels slightly off I also found it that if I lean forwards slightly at the hole then I keep it more consistent at getting it in the hole then if I stand straight up. Yes you still have to have a straight arm but I find leaning towards the hole helps a lot
Funny that u say that because I have noticed with my shoulder my arm can’t go straight back and yes the hip doesn’t help I went back to left foot forward 2 days ago
Your welcome it seems like the most simple things we all struggle with to get them consistent you can do it a couple times get the feeling then the next throw the arm tenses up or something happens forcing a miss again
your a great teacher and i just started corn hole there is not a lot of how to vids on youtube so what would help me and possibly help your chanel grow is with a how to series this would be phenomenal and one of the first good ones on youtube because you would be teaching it everybody who would love it reply so gunner can see
Thanks for these tips. My grip is similar to yours. But when I play in matches and I start getting tired, I think I'm gripping to tight. Also my arm swing gets lazy and wild when I get tired. All I need to work on! Great tips!
When I tell myself before my throws, "straight back", I tend to throw better. I have to focus on the straight back and straight forward to get good results. If i don't, i tend to miss a lot.
Hey gunner im kind of confused on what u mean by saying number 2 was bad arm swing and do you mean you were like bending your arm or arm was flared out?
I don’t bring it out I have a problem where I come behind my back I don’t know what to do. I still throw an 8 or above but I know going straight back would help
I know people that go behind their back and some that go really far if it works for you then keep doing it just something to work on if you are having problems with your game
With my throw I had a problem where the bag wouldn’t come out of my hand, I changed my grip to stop this problem and it helped. Now it’s happening again and I don’t know what’s going on. And my release has been messed up. Frustrating
Bro same it's all mental. Just get closer to the board and try to focus on that release and wrist. It's all mental and it's the most frustrating thing. I'm hoping I'm finally past that learning curve
Would it be a bad thing to twist/torque/turn your fingers to point towards pinky side of the bag? I feel like it would help with bag spin and naturally force a flatter release since my pinky side wants to come up and forward more holding that way. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks
@@gunnerbriz it would be part of the grip set up. I did the same thing when I used a 50-50 grip. Fingers would be that way until you released the bag and point at the board
@@Treway96 I dont think its a bad thing to be honest whatever feels most comfortable for you and works I would do. Every pro throws different and they all just do what works for them

I find my self leaning a little sometimes I can agree that it helps
I'd suggest trying left leg forward to help keep a straighter arm swing. With right foot forward your hip gets in the way.

Yeah, I'm right handed and can't throw with my right foot front neither. Either hip gets in the way or shorts/pockets.
Amazing video and amazing tips! I feel like you nailed all of my bad habits. Thank you!!

Lol
Good slow thorough explanation of all elements. Very helpful thanks
Your welcome glad it could help

Same here man keep at it and you will get it
Love your vids bro, see you at the Throwdown
Thank you see you there
Big G, great info. I feel I Fade to the right on my backswing or follow through to my left sometimes. Thanks. Let me know when you head back to CO.
Will do
Another good video papa!!! Keep being great!!
Thank you appreciate you
Just the video I needed, got a set of Titan bags today, you the boss gunner
@evillynx5796 what Titan bags did you get?
I got the Thrashers, was going to go with the Venoms but my buddy who plays ACL recommended the Thrashers and so far I’m loving them
Let’s go 👍🏻
I pointed it out. Funny enough I throw better going out vs straight back lol
Interesting I just feel like I cross over or don’t get a lot of power
Great stuff Gunner
Thank you
I only watch UA-cam shorts for this guy now
Let’s go 😂
Can you throw the cheap bags that comes with the boards flat or the high dollar good bags you only throw

Hey gunner im kind of confused on what u mean by saying number 2 was bad arm swing and do you mean you were like bending your arm or arm was flared out?
My arm swing wasn’t straight back it went out to the side so I didn’t have a good pendulum
What is your go to bag for competitions?

Are you talking about on the back swing?

Were you apart of the Funk Bros?? I thought I saw Billy in the background?
Yes Billy was in the background
How do you like the ACL Comp boards?
I have never thrown on the acl comp boards
anyone have any tips on how to get better accuracy
Just follow through finishing at the hole and keep a good arm swing on your back swing and follow through
@@gunnerbriz ok thanks
I prefer a firm grip on my bag
You changed your throw, in a previous video I seen, you threw with the opposite leg in front.
Yes I have thrown right foot forward too
@@gunnerbriz why did you changed? More consistency?
gotta watch muted from how much you go "go ahead"
Lol
