2021 Kia Stinger 3.3 GT V6 | sgCarMart Reviews

- The Kia Stinger received some much needed tweaks in 2021. It is still the car you know and love from the Korean carmaker but with just enough new equipment inside out so that it doesn't look outdated to its siblings.

Frankly, I don’t think the review was done professionally. Like engine wise etc, unfair to say that buying the 2.0L version is better than the 3.3L one because this one has a V6 engine and have much better performance. What other car can you get a performance car with a V6 engine at this price point? This is after all a performance car. For the 40k difference, there’s a lot of upgrades one of which is of course the much more powerful engine. To be fair, this car should be compared to other performance cars it’s class instead of common sedans. Otherwise just buy a Honda fit, affordable and practical, cheap and good.
Ya lor, even Carwow UA-cam channel also mentioned the new face lifted Stinger is much better then it's predecessor cause KIA eliminated all the unnecessary under-performing engine class.
He is still very conti brand review type of guy .. waste time
Question is why face lift but kept the old badge.. Should have replace it with the new Kia badge..
almost all stinger change the badge to the E badge...
haha im first to comment now. nice video btw. wasnt expecting another stinger review so soon HAHA
Great review. Can we see the new SEAT Leon :)
Obviously this review is rubbish and biased towards badge. Put the make aside and give neutral comments based on the performance of the car not the brand.
Badge important leh! Remember “Do u have a Badge?” 🤣
@@tand9854 😂😂😂
Huh? Which part of ‘don’t buy’ is biased towards anything here? They already said the high price isn’t justified by the car you’re getting ?_?
Go for a cheap car then
@@iVengeancee got money then price doesn’t matter, ofc makes like the CLS and panamera is more preferred as ppl look at badge in Sg…but the stinger is a nice sports car tbh
Just want to add, for the 40k difference between the 2.0l version to the 3.3l one, you said just Brembo brakes and the sound system etc. Do you know how much is it for a full set of front and back new Brembo brakes, not recon ones mind you which I know a lot of people buy. And a decent sound system for your car with 15 speakers, do you know the cost?
$8 - $12k for 6/4 brembo. Speakers range up to 2-4k for quality ones
Agree with you. The presenter contradicted himself when fussing about the 40K upgrades. All the items listed are big ticket items. A TT V6 engine definitely doesn't come cheap, same goes for a mechanical LSD.
Furthermore, his comparison to the C180/200, Lexus ES are completely unrelated. The true competitor of this car are the C43, M340, S5 which are all $100K more.
@@aarontan9711 He didn't compare it to Audi A4 or even the Lexus IS300.
For people who see the value of a car based solely on badge/brand, then yea I agree with this guy, don't go for a KIA. However, if you actually weigh value base on build quality, performance, functionality, safety features and design of a car, 230k for this, I would say it's a steal.
Agree. For the quality build, design, space and power. Where can you find a twin turbo 3.3 litre V6 car with such pricing?
I agree
Obviously this review is rubbish and biased towards badge. Put the make aside and give neutral comments based on the performance of the car not the brand.
Nope. Resale value will be horrible. This car is not a 'steal'. KIA is stealing your money.
@@comments7335 how resale value gotta do with Kia lol
Just to suggest making a video of your top cars that you would recommend as your first car in the year 2021. Like top 5 collectively as a group or each of the guys top 3 or 5. It can be both from the new or the used car market! Because I'm intending to get my first car at some point next year!
They have made such video before. Check out their backseat Driver videos. But depends on many factors. What is your budget and are u new driver?
I think 1999 sky line r34 more expensive then this 2021 brand..im i right?
Will be waiting to buy this at 100k with 10 years Coe in 2031!
Agreed. With Luxury brands like Lexus offering similar and MORE luxurious options for this price point, it's hard to justify for 235k price point
But the Lexus with the closest performance to this is their GS-F (special indent only) which has the awesome 5.0L V8. When Borneo Motors was bringing it in back then, it was $480,000 rounding up.
406litres of boot space is just so-so to me considering it being a big sedan. I would take it as a third car to stroll during the weekend rather than a daily driver.
Frankly 2 distinct viewpoints, and both are not wrong.
If you are looking for standard transport with a bit of flair, then this is way too expensive - can get more badge value with a C/3/A4 or more practicality with a Superb.
If you are looking for equivalent performance/practicality ratio, this is similar in size to the A6 and faster in performance than the S5, so it's $100-150k cheaper than the German equivalent. Hard to beat that value proposition.
Yup, even merc E coupes are going 300k plus lol and not even as fast
This compare to C class? ES? seriously. the comparison for stinger is Audi A5.
Those that buy 2.0. many upgraded to 3.3. coming from a stinger owner...
Agree bro…..but actually it doesn’t really compare to E class prob somewhere between C and E, but anyways 3.3 is the better choice, 2L just doesn’t cut it hahaha
2nd comment, was surprised it appeared on my recommendations too.
No comments, late reply cause thinking what to comment
Yes, I would pay just S$235 for this car, if you mean what you said towards the end of the review 😂
Anyway… have a good day!
When i see this presenter, i know this video gonna suck already lol.
Yeah....I miss Idris...very well-versed guy...his car reviews are smooth and presentations are top notch. I would probably listen to him even if he does a 20 min review of a Tamiya car.
Is it just me but I notice if Julian review, is a must buy. If this guy review, no buy or go try. But giving him credit since his reviews are slightly better when he first started
@@tand9854 yup agree to that
Powerful car but too bad. Still use the old badge. Should use the new one then swee.
Can take out and change. Or plastic dip so no more badge 😂
almost all stinger changed the kia badge to the new kia logo or the E badge.
At long last! Someone who recommends not to buy a car that has been reviewed. Kudos for having the balls to say the truth. Well done!👍
Wrong person to review car. He can't even put up the right comparison. This is a performance car not a sedan .
I rather top up more for a M340i or better than settle for this
A m340i now 365k, 130k top up is quite a big difference
REVIEW 🌦️..
Won’t buy. You are right. The 2L model suffice and it has a better looking boot with ‘stinger’ spelt across rather than this ‘stinger - kia - gt’ small inscription. And pls, get the bright yellow or green wrap. Nicer than red. 👍
You know all SG models have the Kia Badging. We have to get it changed our selves.
Don’t buy the 2 litre variant, drive a German 2L turbo and man I wished for a V6/8 after that hahahaha you can never get enough just go straight for the 3.3 stinger or not at all
Why would someone be comparing a performance car to typical German saloon cars? Goon.
Too exp for this price
Never
Worst presentation I’ve seen. Totally missed the point of the review. Get rid of him.
Ermm not a good reviewer
Amateurish review. Presenter need much more training.
From the way he talks, he is a non car enthusiast thus the bad review. All he talks about tech. Driving around at limited speed limit and the review is done. Laughing stock. watch european reviewers whereby they appreciate the stinger far more and pushes its limits. gg
