Great video, that's the skimmer correct? Why did you choose the skimmer for the location of the over and auto? Why not have the overflow coming out the side or the liner? In the back/hidden area of the feature? Trying to learn, construction is underway of my feature now
Great question. Yes the water does need to say ON and a time is a great way to move forward! hit me up on instagram for daily pond conent inspiratrion or download some of or podcast! Instagram - @theponddigger Podcast - The POnd Digger on Itunes or spotify

Mechanical and electronic 'sensor' devices operate down to a certain temperature - you will need to do some research to find out given you climatic conditions which - mechanical or electronic (or both?) - would work for you. Depending on the distant from your house to the pond/filter system, you could fit a solenoid/water fill device in the house, and have the water run out from the house (via a tundish) through your koi filter system to fill the pond. Or instead of the solenoid/water fill device, just have a mechanical valve arm and turn it when you notice the water dipping below a marker/indicator on the side of the pond. Various ways to overcome your issue - just do some research :)
Nice work ET! Pond On brother!!
Very inspiring, great job, keep Videos coming.

no backflow preventer?
70 psi over time ? 1/4 tube rating? will i drink pond water?
Does the water need to stay on for the valve to work automatic? Should I buy a timer for my hose bib?

That small black tubing is going to hold back 80 psi for one year or more.
(Don't think so). I would have used 1/2'' cpvc. (glued)
Great Job On The Video

What kind of water supply usually is used for auto fill valve? Any hose or certain pluming necessary
+Jonathan Valenzuela You can connect to a standard hose bib.
Will it work in freezing conditions? Tired of filling my koi pond every 2 days in the middle of New England winters.
