Absolutely great so see that automakers are finally placing the DC fast charging port on one of the 2 correct locations -- driver's side rear, or passenger's side front. Just like ICE cars have 2 standard port locations -- right or left rear -- to accommodate modern gas station layouts.
And that price is even about 20% below the German market price for the same model and extras. The quattro base model without any extras starts at 74,700 EUR in Germany. Crazy.
Too bad audi wanting people to have options doesn't extend to their paint choices. 2 greys black white and a blue grey. The Germans are boring as hell.
Sadly true, it is like pulling teeth to get a deep candy red exterior, or perhaps a cool Blue, or Champagne Color. Don’t understand it… but those are the most popular colors of cars purchased typically and that is why Audi only offer it that way.
I can order White, Grey, Black, Blue and Red. Finish matte, metallic and pearlescent. And you can always choose the exclusive line. Then you can choose the RAL color for every single part of the car. If you got the money.
I can’t get these prices out of my head. Surely this isn’t sustainable. I know that leasing allowed the car companies to charge a lot more, but won’t consumers eventually resist this?
Have you priced an ICE audi SUV before? These are luxury vehicles geared towards high-end customers who appreciate the luxury and have the means to afford them. If you're talking about more affordable models, the you're talking about Chevy Equinox EV, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 6, Kia EV6, etc. All of which start are or around $40,000, or as low as $32,500 with incentives.
Resist an Audi? Nah. They won’t. And for cheaper people they have VW, Skoda and Seat. For richer people Audi, for rich people Porsche, Lamborghini and Bugatti. (And soon Scout and maybe Rivian one day). It’s all the VW AG.
Given that this rides on the same platform as the Porsche Electric Macan, I would be very interested to know how the handling is. Does it handle better than most Audi's, or does it feel very much like an Audi.
19:02 the porsche taycan as long had AC charging on the street side of the car and DC charging on the driver side. A they share the same PPE Platform Audi just has the same design as the Porsche in these upcoming vehicles
The specs are good on all 3 versions and I like the Audi styling except I’m not sure the grill looks good on the white car. The big curved screen looks cool and it looks like the climate is permanently at the bottom though I’d prefer physical climate controls. The haptic buttons are a mistake and I don’t like the look of the passenger screen, my guess is that they’ll just look at their phone anyway.
I think it looks pretty good and should be priced above a model Y because this IS a luxury car but maybe a little too pricey. Seems too close in the market to the Q8 etron. A year or two old q8 seems like a better deal.
I like the Q6 with the gray exterior color and red leather combo. I don’t like it in the white because the fake grill looks weird. Sadly, like 90% of cars on the road are white, so most likely Audi will probably get more white cars than the other color options for this model.
Two separate charge ports, different, with over-complicated electric and interlocked doors. And then we wonder why they sticker out where they do. Go figure.
Q6 is a disaster!!! Software does not work!! See any forums. Lots of cars are off the road and apparently USA already stopped all deliveries due to the issues.
Don't forget the storage console and glove box next time. Anyway, the range on these cars is pathetic. What manufactures should be doing is designing in an easy replacement to it can be easily and cost efficiently replaced, as batter technology improves. Right now, these are lease only cars.

@@Dactylonian Plenty of people on the forums had theirs fail within 5K miles of having the reservoirs emptied during service. Those Audi vehicles should have on passenger side the NACS port since the AC port J1772 can be used on driver side. They're actually on the correct side for NACS, driver's side rear, so you don't need to take 2 spots on V3 stalls. Unlike the idiotic locations of prior models. And you do have AC on both the right and left side. So I don't what you're talking about.
@junehanzawa5165 Why do you need 2 j1772 ports? Let it be on one side NACS and CCS1 on another side. In the video they show J1772 on right side and one J1772 port inside the CCS1 on the left side.

I really wonder size wise how this compares to Q4/ID4?
Bigger on the outside, smaller on the inside.
Madness! I use the frunk all the time. To keep groceries from sliding around the car or the trunk, dirty camping gear, etc.
Some EVs (MY, ID.4) have sub-floor kind of "hole" in the normal trunk, perfect for groceries.
